I wish bottled water was only $1.50 here! (with conversion from PS) They charge $3.50 at most parks here. But many will give you free tap water. And what's up with trains seperating this year? First wild thing and then this.

I can't access the site here at work because anything remotley related to games is banned for us. So no I haven't been. All those little signs and billboards that keep popping up form Genworth Energy are they part of the online game? I also couldn't believe only one team saw RED in Freedom on the door at the slave house this week. If they had only put on their RED glasses, they would have saved a ton of time searching!!!

I was just curious where Thunder Express was located at when it was at Dollywood.

Myrtle Beach Pavilion has one (soon to go out of business) SFKK has one.

^ I don't have a problem with people having opinions, it just seems that people go "along with the crowd" instead of having their own opinions when it comes to Holiday World.

^^^^ I think you're fighting a losing battle here. Some people assume that all of North Carolina is like the Andy Griffith show. Well guess what? It's not. Charlotte is the 2nd biggest banking city in the USA, you don't hear that much at all. NC has pro hockey, basketball, football and racing. But according to some stereotypes we're a bunch of backwater rednecks. The way that stereotypes are changed are by people getting to know you, not by ranting on a message board. All that does is make you look even more like the stereotype that you are trying to persuade us doesn't ring true.

The thing that bothers me about Holiday World and Raven in general is how they get voted for every year like they are Ruler of the Universe or something. Oh Raven is the best coaster ever!!!1!!!1! Uh no it's not. Just walk across the park to either Legend or Voyage. So many fanboys of HW obviously vote for them every year. I don't think it's justified when there are some really good parks out there like IOA and a few others.

^ We will be doing our own Finale for Myrtle Beach Pavilion that weekend, so no dice. The only way we won't is if there is a hurricane (the real ones) coming through there that weekend.

^ Opryland was an OK park, it wasn't great or anything. But I wish it was still around. I'm pretty much happy to stay in the present. Sure it would be cool to go back and see the openging day of the Coney Island Cyclone or other cool old rides. But rides in general weren't very safe back then, and a lot of people died on coasters and flats back then. Maybe it wasn't more than today, but it seems that way. I'll just pretty much keep the DeLorian parked for now. <-- 300th post

I think you just ended up on a really bad day at Holiday World. My two experiences there weren't that busy at all and pretty much everyone in the park was friendly. Myself personally I always put Holiday World and Dollywood about neck and neck for friendliest park. But anyone can have a bad day at a park. I hope you'll try them again sometime. You might be surprised.

My plans are for a big PA trip next year or the following. Can't wait to ride PR.

Has anyone been watching this on History Channel? I've really enjoyed it and I've learned a lot about the Revolutionary War I didn't know. I was amazed at how Benedict Arnold was kind of shafted and passed over many times for promotions and how that eventually embittered him so much that he became the famous traitor that he is. I also didn't know that he was a very high ranking General under Washington. You don't hear that about him very much. http://www.historychannel.com/revolution/

Last night was pretty good, I want to slap that fogal girl though. Get a grip already! All I can say is Yes South Carolina is that hot!! They weren't faking it or anything, Charleston and Georgetown are very sticky and hot during the summer. Looks like they must have filmed this last year or maybe early June of this year. We actually had a nice spring here for a change. I loved how they film from the air and the similarity (from the air) how Charleston kinda looked like Boston. Both were built around the same time period of course.

One of the weirdest things I can rembember of course would happen at Carowinds... I was on Top Gun and just as we were entering the Batwing a truck drove right past us on the grouds! The image was just weird because he was moving and we were moving (of course) and then I got flipped upsidedown all at the same time. One time I saw Jarvis (jarmor) at Carowinds (with his tripod) that was the weirdest thing ever. Sorry Jarvis I couldn't resist. Oh, I should talk about when Jarvis screamed like a little girl at Scarowinds last year!!! Uh oh Jarvis is going to get me at C3.
