  1. Great on the pizza, shows and cupcakes, guys! But - meh - not enough Gay in it.
  2. ^ Oh no! "Cursed with a Hidden Mickey!" Ha ha, he looks like a winner, there.
  3. "Roots Before Branches" Lea Michele from the Glee Graduation cd
  4. Was just chatting with a friend locally, about what the name of that double ferris wheel was..... Skywheel! Thanks for that - and Skydiver too! That used to be such a regular ride during our annual fair, The PNE. Lovely to see older flats looking great and attractive to ride, too. Especially at night!
  5. "The Man With The Child in His Eyes" Kate Bush (from The Kick Inside)
  6. I remember me and David seeing the very first screen run of "Saturday Night Fever" in Seattle. We had to line up outside the theater 'back then,' when most movie theaters only showed their films evenings. Usually a 7pm-something and a 9:30 or ten-ish showing. But no afternoon showings, yet. You could feel the lineup's anticipation of this movie. It was Travolta's first big screen role since his Welcome Back Kotter tv and Broadway days. And he got the Oscar nom for Best Actor too! But the movie was the Gibbs' music, all the way. We were never one for disco, but we certainly enjoyed this new sound score of theirs, on the big screen. And I believe they won the Oscar for Original Score. It sure was original, back then. RIP Robin.
  7. Damn I hate this happening, when I have said 'yes' to helping out. I had a doctor's appt. today, told him about this marathon, and he told me "uh uh - No chance of that, right now. Need to be more careful." I have had some recent medical problems and am not trying to push the edge, which included not hitting Playland as often as I would like to. Anyway, I have to cancel riding Coaster during the marathon, buddy. But I will do my best to get there and cheer you guys on. By the way, my doc knows of the China Tour in Sept. which is way different than 3 hours on one coaster, lol!
  8. Sorry I won't be able to see it during it's run. But very glad it's on the boards again! And - I still have the t-shirt!!! Break Many Legs! At Parque Espana on TPR Japan tour last summer ~ see the shirt? ~ there it is! (o:
  9. ^ I am sure you'll find and figure something out, music-wise.
  10. ^ Hey you're more into it all, than I ever could be. Roller-Rawk on, buddy!
  11. A bit jerky in the presentation of still photos ~ and no soundtrack - but still pretty good with the start-to-finish aspect of it. And - much better than what I could ever come up with. Congrats.
  12. ^ Thanks. Am almost 60, but can still ride it like a 20 yr.old, lol! As for my own checking on Coaster's timing per ride.... I have done it by a plain watch and second hand - and usually always come up with a two minute ride. From out of the station to back into it. Simple. Will look at your vid though.
  13. ^^ Cool, I am in, buddy! I ride The Beast like a bucking bronco so if I can ride solo in the third seat, I'll be great! Otherwise, will adjust accordingly, heh heh.
  14. "When you are away from me, Life doesn't make that much sense" Just heard it on the radio,
  15. ^ Okay, cool. Does this mean I can join you in riding Coaster for the Marathon, on July 11th, a Wednesday? Will do my best - but need to know what the rules (& time) of it all are. I donate to a lot of other charities, but am glad others locally, are taking up The Challenge. So - will help where I can that day for you guys, okay>? No problemo!
  16. ^ Hey, sorry if we missed each other. I was at the park around 1130-ish, and stayed to after 1 pm. Tried to see if I could find you, but except for your t-shirt and backpack description, I didn't see many (if any) guys at the AtmosFEAR benches that fit the 'description.' Not to mention it was very crowded today. I only got a ride on the SkyWheel and the Gladiator. And a couple of capsule toys, lol. Maybe another time, hmm?
  17. I agree with RCFreak.... Gunter > Gerta Any time.
  18. ^ Hey - am planning to also be at Playland on Saturday. I usually go between 1100 and noon. I like to see the games arcade open (they open at noon), even though I rarely play any of the games. Silly, but to me, it makes the park look more complete, after noon. My main arcade enjoyment is those capsule machines, heh heh. It's from the massive number of machines in Japan I discovered, on TPR Tours. And The Best Day (in the season) to visit the park - sorry moms - Mothers Day! Practically deserted and everything was a literal walk-on. You see the pic above of me at the Gay Day, last year. Probably not the red shirt, though. See you there, at AtmosFEAR.
  19. Donna Summer You were a great part of my club days back in the 1970s & 1980s. ~ Disco On, Devine Diva ~
  20. ^^ I love models too, Jon. Especially of theme parks, Disney front and centre. I remember enjoying the display setup they had at Efteling's indoor carousel. With trains, autos and some wierd boats moving along, heh heh. All great. Somewhere I have the photo of the model they did for Disneyland when a "circus- themed" land was considered at the top of the site, where ToonTown now sits. The Dumbo was there, and a freekish looking dark ride called "Mickeys Mad House," all with black and white animatronics (now). Based on the first early Mickey & Co. drawings.
  21. Always loved this park. And hoped to get back to it some day. Maybe that upcoming Scandi Tour will include it, again. Thanks for sharing your day there. I definitely liked a lot of the flats and coasters they had there. The Flying Shark was one of them, lol.
  22. ^ What she said, lol. And here's a pic of INSANE, to prove it. Lovely, scary, freeky, intense. We even got the T-SHIRT, lol!
  23. Set Fire To The Rain - Adele
