  1. Wish I could. But I can't. Not comin' this year. So have a coupla beers on me. And somebody else will have to pay.
  2. Very very true. The random places to eat I've run into, in Japan over the course of a TPR trip, are incredibly diverse, wierd, crazy, and awesome. Sometimes all at once! And of course, there's always Meat-On-Stix! A lovely Sapporo, Japan restaurant. TPR 2013 Japan Tour.
  3. ^ It looks like it's going to be a great coaster ride.
  4. Surf Coaster Leviathan Sea Paradise (Kanazawa, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan) TPR 2013 Japan Tour
  5. ^ I don't see why they can't still stay in character, and still just tell you what movie it's from, etc. Not exactly the same thing, but currently, I am 'acting' as The Barker for a pre-show Village Fair we run before the production of Oliver! starts. I greet people as they come into the seating area, and let them know what's where, etc. And if they 'happen' to ask me something totally off-script, (like bathrooms, getting food and drink) there's no problem in my staying in character and answering what they want to know. Easy! And I'm still The Barker, and they usually thank me for letting them know. I do suppose "going totally off-script" (i.e. in helping you, Robb) isn't what they're supposed to do, at HPL. That's too bad. I am sure they would get a lot more non-Potter fans on board, if they could just be allowed to do that.
  6. Yes. TPR Tours help. Do you know the way to San Jose?
  7. ^ Ah, the "old days and ways" of advertising a new coaster. I miss those days. (a little)
  8. ^ Oops, you're right. I thought it was just two different colours of spaceships. Silly me. (But still future dreaming...)
  9. Also - and "just because..." I remembered these drawings that were a concept/patent that Disney came up with, during the infancy of building Shanghai Disneyland. At first, I thought it might be either for a new-fangled version of "Be Our Guest". Then, when "Pooh's Hunny Pot Spin" was announced for ShDL, I figured this would apply for that. But - if Alien Saucers were there instead, and The Claw was hanging in the middle of it... COOL!!! Each spaceship flys! (o; With The Claw hanging overhead, middle. All this kitchen stuff suggested "Be Our Guest" to me. Or "Ratatouille". But, spaceships could work, too!
  10. ^ I'm not sure if the swinging cars concept would work with this. It's a Slinky Dog which really doesn't "swing" that much, to me. But the train could be articulated for the turns and the uphill/downhill part (bunny hops?) of the track, after the launch. An articulated train like TWISTER at Grona Lund, perhaps? With the Slinky Dog ring-s over each seat?
  11. Just another view, but it looked like to me, that the Aliens Saucers ride appeared in the artwork like it was similar to the Double Dumbos at WDW's MK. Only this is the teacups, themed as spaceships. And covered.
  12. Phil STOP! All this food is too too much!
  13. ^ If the Aliens Saucers ride is indeed trackless, then with the Luigi's Car Dance ride in DCA, Disney is sure speeding up the pace, finally getting trackless rides into their U.S. parks. Goody. (I hope.) EDIT to add: Looks like the Alien Saucers ride will be something like Mater's Jamboree at DCA. That's great still! Proving they can re-theme an already existing attraction to something new!
  14. ^ Nope. Wouldn't work. Marvin would just muck it up, and Black Hole his own home park, LOL.
  15. Oops - something I don't see there, on first look. The Mater-like attraction (DCA) they were going to re-theme with Woody & Bullseye pulling a cart, etc. I don't see it there. Not complaining. Just wondering where it might be, if it is there? Just a thought - ooooo maybe they've made it an indoor attraction?
  16. Is it just me, does this year's D23 read and look like possibly one of The Best D23s for theme park announcements, as well as films and television, and stage? And it's just getting going!
  17. I can see it now... The poster shows this nit wit with a thumbs up sign, and a roll-sized bump on his forehead. Caption: "Home of the Throwed Rolls" He says in a cartoon bubble: "I sued 'em for it!" (Too soon?)
  18. Thankyou, thankyou, THANKyou Adam for all the video stills and photos of ShDL! The TRON lighting setup looks breathtaking!
  19. Just a question but, did they caption either of these art concepts to which park it would be in? I love all three of the artworks, but am wondering which one is/was for DL, and the other for DHS. Or did they leave it unanswered, for now?
  20. Theme music in the station: "It's a small ROAR after all..."
