  1. We have a Pizzeria a street over from us, which doesn't take reservations, and for now, is only handling Take Out/Food Courier Pickup or "Patio Dining" which is two tables in front of the place, lol. But for people picking up pizzas, we always have a few....uh.... unusual, different, or very $$$$ cars parking near our house. The other day we had a Mercedes Benz SPYDER parked illegally right beside a fire hydrant. Idiot. Then, we got this one stopping by for a pizza fix yesterday. It's actually a pretty good paint job, when you look at the entire car ......van? And ...... Rasta does rhyme with Pasta, doesn't it? (hee hee)
  2. I FINALLY got my first two tickets to Playland(PNE), which opens the first weekend of May! I have to go thru TicketLeader for each and every single day admission to the park <sighs>, and have to use a Code they emailed me for future use .... but hey, I got not much else to do right now, and it is only open weekends in May. But, as a Season Pass Holder from last year, I essentially get all the visits I want to the park w/o having to pay a single nickle (we don't have pennies any more, lol) for the tickets. I hope. Otherwise, I just can't wait to even stroll thru the park, w/o having to ride anything!

Yah, sure. 😋 Well ..... maybe a ride (or three?) on Coaster, at least....

One paper "ticket" for each day. Maybe next time, I can print them back-to-back? Hmmmm.

  3. Woo Hoo! Finally got my 2020 Season Pass Holder Code for ordering tickets to Playland. And .... since the place is only open weekends for May, I got myself day passes for the entire Opening Weekend! Damn, I just realized, I haven't been back there since mid-October, at a (what I called) "Fright Night ... Lite", heh. I feel so much better now, now that I have in-my-hands tickets for Opening Weekend... both days! For those who don't know, we don't have cell phones <shock> at all. Still on a land line, so printed paper tix have to do. But you know, it is really nice, to hold on to something actually tangible (look it up), to carry around, etc. Instead of on a cellphone.
  4. Been awhile, but honestly, I think the one that always melts in my mouth ..... the French Cruller. I just love them, even though they are fairly light and 'airy', and not as "thick" as other donuts are.
  5. ...or with one of the other inhabitants of the Zoo/Farm... But Samson is the headliner, to be sure. Take your pick - back view or front view! June 2, 2017.
  6. Ha! When I first saw the art concept, I immediately thought of the St.Louis Arch. In three pieces, lol.
  7. 🍃 Happy Earth Day Everybody! 🌲

  8. Damn, I love those retro handheld cameras, LOL! Nothing beats the jiggle.
  9. T2 was My First SLC to ride, as well as it was The First SLC of it's kind in the USA. And it was all gloriously red. That said ----- Ouch? Great shots, Hanno.
  10. Well, that would certainly make me want to visit California parks, if I lived outside the state. Not. Even if I was vaccinated, myself. And I did get my shot. And I have a card that says so.
  11. Okay. Eight years ago. A woman fell out of a coaster. I understand. But what does (what thrillseeker4552 posted) NTAG stand for? Sorry, but nothing I read in that link, alluded to this abbreviation. So ..... ? Thanks in advance.
  12. ^ Sorry, but .... NTAG accident ... ? I forget what "that" was.
  13. How to say a lot ... without saying much at all. I love publicity.
  14. ^Great! I am still curious as to how you pick what you want, or want to get, from all the POP! figures and etc. offered? Do you have a 'theme' with choosing them, or just pick one up because you like the look of it? And hiding the Waldo POP! is a great idea, lol. Does that mean you challenge others to find out "Where's Waldo"?
  15. ^ I just hope they sell them in Canada, as well as the U.S. When special Pride Bottles of name brand alcohols (particularly vodka) came out, not all of them came up here to our beer/wine/liquor stores. So, here's hoping glittered hearts cereal makes it up thisaways!
  16. Playland opens May 1st! Finally! Only weekends in May, though. To begin with. And I'll have a "Code" (as a 2020 Pass Holder) to use when getting my tickets for whatever days and times I want to go. A bit of work to get tickets, but that's okay. I'll live with it, lol. 🎢

  17. ^ Very nice. How big is your POP! collection? I have about 30 or so of my own. Unopened of course, LOL!
  18. ^ That's great! I phoned the TicketLeader number about what to do if you have a 2020 Season Pass. They told me a "code" will be emailed to those with passes, and then that code will be used to secure reserved days and times. And I am pretty sure that the operator told me, that it is "unlimited visits" with the 2020 Season Pass. David bought my 2020 Season Pass with his email address (as a gift), so I suspect they will email the code to him. So, I/we wait for The Code. https://www.pne.ca
  19. This is cool....
  20. ^ Yep. Cats happen. Came back a couple of hours ago, from getting my first vaccine shot. And so far ..... no growing scales or fur, losing hair, eyesight's fine ..... doo dah.
  21. ^^ I wondered when you were going to bring Cedar Downs up. And I totally agree about that freekin' Swing, too. Short cycle, but omgomgomgomg! Here it is! And it's called Skyhawk. (Photo from the net)
  22. I did a few morning errands, and decided to head over to Playland and see if anything is going on, etc. The Urban Roots nursery set up looks good. I chatted with one of the workers there, and she said it was probable they were staying there through the summer. Hmmmm. Since this is taking up part of the usual parking space for the PNE, it makes me wonder if the "PNE" is going to turn into another "Drive-Thru PNE" like last summer. Well, I guess we stay tuned till then. And here's the photos I took, earlier.... Urban Roots nursery, with Coaster in back. The Twins look nice today. Never noticed this before. Slidey Slides? Okaaaay. A walk past Coaster. There were a few people in the station, but I didn't ask why they were there. I probably should have. Now this is Coaster's awesome Sexy Curve. Between all the ups and downs of it. Past the lovely Japanese Cherry Trees ..... no new coaster, yet. Nothing happening yet, in the Playland 2.0 extension area. Nope. Nothing happening here where New Coaster is supposed to go. <sighs> Hope the opening in May goes alright. I'll be there!
  23. And my "Content Count" has just reached 26,600 !

  24. Great TR of your visit! But - if those blue marked lockers are to discourage people from bumping into each other --- WTF is that with six of them all clustered together, and not marked? They could have figured out a better way to do that, honestly. Or just not do it at all. But no matter - You Were There! And had a great day! Good goin'.
