1. I've been there!! It was winter for them, and during the time ToT was SBNO, so I was DYING to ride that and the shuttle loop, but both were closed. However, we waited a really long time for Anaconda and it didn't disappoint! It's been so long for me (2006 I believe) but I just remember the theming was some of the best I've ever seen for a coaster, let alone an invert. The helix around the rock was awesome to watch and ride! In my naiveté, I thought this coaster was a B&M until someone told me it wasn't. It looked just like one! I have pics of it somewhere, I'll try to look for them over Christmas break.
2. I'm normally 100% a back row rider on B&M inverts and I'm usually okay with a bit of rattle on some rides but the back of Banshee is just unacceptable. When I rode again in the front....totally different ride! Waiting the extra few minutes for the front is WAY better!
3. We were there on Saturday and had the most amazing day (as long as I reminded myself that LR wasn't there and was never going to be running). I did swing by once and see maintenance pushing the train back into the station. Don't know if it was a rollback. When I asked dude what was up with it, he basically said it had been running fine but has never ran in weather like this...I assume cold + rain? I haven't charted every day this thing has been open vs. when it hasn't, but from what he said, it hasn't operated once since the temperatures started dropping below freezing. Can someone confirm? Also, I know no one will believe me (and talking to a park employee is only slightly more believable than talking to Dippin' Dots Guy), but he said he heard through the grapevine that SDC will be getting a dive coaster in 2018. I have a bunch of awesome pictures of our day, but I'll have to upload them tomorrow.
4. Probably 10 years. I stopped going when I became vegetarian! When was the last time you talked smack about someone?
5. I dunno who Nina Kleppe is but I'm sure she likes this as do I. Hilarious. Thank you Been a while since I looked at that forum. I have no idea what the last few pages are about, but I gather we are in the throws of winter. Even though it isn't winter. I'm just scanning for pictures of you know what... This would certainly help my Pre-Calc students taking their final tomorrow! Also....AYOO??
6. Well I'm from NorCal, so yes. Have you gained weight in the last year?
7. Yes! My two cats are sleeping beside me, and there are a lot of other animals I like too! Do you like school?
8. When are you going? Brit and I will be there next Thursday so I'm in the same boat. If you're there at the same time, come say hi. We'll be the ones marathoning Wild Eagle at night once everyone else gets cold and stops riding. Anyway the Dollywood App shows wait times and ride status when you're not in the park (unlike every other park's app) so I would suggest downloading that. That's what I did. Ah we're going this Saturday! Reward for making it through my first hellish grad school finals week, plus I'll be back in CA next Thursday for the holidays, but once Cedar Point and KI open up again, maybe we'll get to see you guys! After the awesome Labor Day weekend we had, I'm highly considering making it a thing every year. Sounds like the rides can be unpredictable when it comes to the cold, but it looks like they're open 11am-9pm, so hopefully we'll have some warmer hours in the middle (except for the predicted rain some time) so maybe we'll at least get on everything once (hopefully more!) If everything does stay open, sounds like we'll get plenty of rides to ourselves. Now to go take one of said hellish finals
9. ^^ Oh man I hope it's not closed for my visit! Anyone else going this week who can give an update? If it is, then it'll support it's reputation of hashtag I'm not going to do it but you know what I'm thinking!
10. Never! When was the last time you opened a present?
11. Yes Do you struggle with waking up in the morning?
12. -3 days! (Otherwise, last year) When was the last time you went to Subway?
13. ^^I see what you did there! Technically, no. In reality... SFDK! I will always love and defend that park. Other things...guess it depends on how you define it. Probably some bands I'm a huge fan of, when I actually get to see them in concert. Is there snow outside of your window?
14. Yes! And got to go to the City Museum too! Have you double-posted on here in the last month?
15. When you walked into Busch Gardens. That's not what Busch Gardens told me!!!!!!! JK, actually, But that's cool if it's true! I don't think the latter would be true, plenty of people buy sodas despite them being expensive, but the former does seem like a very likely situation. I could see them bumping up the price for this because a) what you said b) cost of paper cupzzz!!! Maybe they'll do all day drinks wristband (do they already have one? I don't really eat or drink at the park) for the non-passholder visitors who still want unlimited drinks. Also, I can't remember if it's been said (a lot of the CF threads are talking about this) but this might increase the lines at food stands even more unless there were separate drinks-only stands (again, pardon me if this is already a thing). With the conveniency of this plan, I could see people using the f* out of their all-year drinking plan on their pass, just as people do with the dining pass.
16. My boyfriend and I are looking at going to Dollywood this Saturday. Neither of us have been. Any recommendations for us?
17. My environmentalist/sustainability side wants to say "No! It saves the environment more if everyone reuses their cups!" However, it's been such a pain in the you-know-where to have to carry those darned cups around. I really enjoyed the free drinks all day when we went to Kentucky Kingdom, and it was similar in that when you wanted a soda, you just went up and showed your wristband and got one. Then, when we were done, we would throw away our cup and board the ride. No need to put a reusable cup in one of the bins. And, when you want to join coasterbill in an adult beverage, you can toss your sugary drink for a different kind of sugar.
18. Roar \neq Joker. Older GCI \neq new RMC. They were assigning seats at Wicked Cyclone earlier this year, and that was on a quieter day almost a year after that coaster's opening. Roar's station is only somewhat larger than that one (although there is space for people to wait for the front and back). Wicked Cyclone crew was doing really well pumping them out. And SFDK crowds are really dumb and slow (all stoned?) when it comes to finding a row. So it's probably better for throughput, but not for us. (I know I always talk about WC, LOL. The other RMCs I've been on haven't been so stickler about assigning rows). THey don't allow requests? I requested a row when we were there without an issue. (Back row) Row requests are hit-or-miss. Requests for the front are out of the question. Usually, I've been able to request any of the empty rows (I choose the back, obviously), but sometimes they don't even allow that. This was the case yesterday. Only half the train was full, I requested the back. I was politely told "No preferred seating", and that was that. I'm hoping they relax the policy as the novelty of the new ride wears off and the crowds aren't as hefty. Like I said, I completely understand the rationale for assigning seats. My desires are selfish, pure and simple. I WANT THE FRONT! You can have the front, I'll take the back I'll hopefully be checking on how it's aged (July --> December) in just a few weeks! Will hopefully get my mom on it too! She convinced me to ride my first big coaster (Medusa) and years later, I'll hopefully convince her to ride her first RMC and get her first real airtime!
19. Now I'm no CGA expert, but that cut-out image oddly puts the hyper right through where Vor--er, Patriot, currently resides. But in seriousness, it reminds me of the location there was talk about it going before. So I guess we might have a huge hyper coaster looming right above Vortex? (won't get used to calling it anything else)
20. The last time I watched a movie, which was the weekend before this past one? WHen was the last time you studied for a test?

22. Jambo already closed, FYI. But yes, I agree with you about the reputation thing.
23. Just a few minutes ago I'm a huge Subway fan and this iteration turned out pretty good. When was the last time you snuck some food into or out of a place when you weren't supposed to?
24. Where are you getting this information from? Do you have a source or is it all just guess? It is a bummer about the animal ambassador program, if it is true that they are ending it. I haven't necessarily heard that the program is going away for good, but Jambo was a big part of it. I get that Jambo is pretty hidden. I didn't visit BGT as a "normal" guest for a long time, so the first time I ever set foot into the park (besides back areas) was into Jambo as a camp counselor/employee. I was amazed what animal experiences even an average guest could have back there. Feeding the flamingos was the best! However, I bet the recent incident with the flamingo contributed to their motivation to close Jambo. I wonder what is going to happen to the animals back in that area? Last year, from what they told us, they were throwing ideas around but hadn't decided yet. Even though I don't work there any more and probably never will, I'm not sure if I should say the specifics. However, I doubt what's going on now was foreseen, so maybe everything is off the table now that the company seems to be in a huge transition phase.
25. Yes! There aren't too many rides where I'm unwilling to raise my arms, but I was clinging on for dear life during that entire ride!
