^ Lady Gaga wallpapers, for the win! Mine is in honor of the (awesome) Telephone music video premier yesterday. Let's make a sandwich!

True, it's better than clouds/balloons, but I still don't like it much at all. I love the sleek look of the monorails, these wrapping just aren't very appealing, in my opinion. Makes as little sense to me as wrapping Viper's (SFMM) trains with those hair gel ads. Wrapping the monorails , especially with the Tron theme, messes with the cohesiveness of the resort. The Tron wrappings are very 'Tomorrowland', but nothing else. However on a side note, I'm very excited for the movie!

Motorola Droid, and loving it! It does mostly everything I want it to, though it could use some of the really cool apps on Apple's App Store. Still, it's a pretty damn good phone.

As if I couldn't get any more excited for this weekend, I get an email informing me of a Haunt presentation for the Knott's WCB day. Wow, that's awesome! The Knott's day keeps getting better, can't wait for the full details for the event! Man, this is definitely going to my "Haunt withdrawals" worse than they already are... but I'm not complaining at all.

FitchCoaster replied to Pingu1651's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
First Park: Disney's California Adventure/Disneyland on January 1st First Ride: Toy Story Midway Mania! First Coaster: California Screamin' First (Free) Food (had to throw this in): Tortillas! ("Masecaaa!") First Food Purchase: Clam Chowder from Disneyland -
Mixed emotions about Alice in Wonderland for me. I thought it was darker than Disney films usually are, but there were a lot of unnecessary, silly things in it that just felt really awkward and messed up the 'flow' of the movie (that dance scene that was mentioned before being a prime example). It just felt like, to me, it was trying to be a more dark version of Alice in Wonderland while still being as kid-friendly as possible. It was just really confusing on whether or not it wanted to be a kids movie, or something darker. The visuals, however, were amazing. Like Avatar, I didn't see it in 3D the first time around, but I'd love to go back to see it again in IMAX 3D just for the visuals. I was completely taken by the 'look' of the whole movie, from the Red Queen's big head to the White Queen's overly white castle (which hurt my eyes), it was all beautiful and nice to look at. I'd give the movie a 7.5/10. It was a fun movie and it was very entertaining. And while it wasn't what I hoped it would be, the visuals were mighty impressive, and I'd reccomend it just for the sake of looking at all the eye candy.

SFMM Photo TR + Updates! 2/15/10
FitchCoaster replied to atem122's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hahaha, hilarious TR. Found myself chuckling to many of the captions, great job! The Batfan was working (I think) maybe a month ago when I last went, so I'm glad to see it's still working since then! -
Photo TR: Natatomic does the West Coast Trip
FitchCoaster replied to natatomic's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Thanks for the Photo TR, the captions were hilarious! Made me remember how much I love Legoland, it's just an overall fun place to be and there's just a certain charm to the whole park. I love it. Too bad you were sick and and couldn't remember much! By the way, I stared at the picture with the Apple Fries for quite awhile. And salivated (in my head). Those have to be one of my favorite things, ever. Delicious! -
When I look at this whole project, I can't help but think, "why didn't they do all this stuff in the first place?" That having been said I guess, I can give them credit for at least seeing what their mistakes were and trying to correct them. Too bad there's just so many things that need fixing... Don't get me wrong though, I'm incredibly excited for the whole project to be finished! I think everything they're working on is going to be awesome when things are done, we're just going to have to be patient with this. Very patient. I for one, am extremely excited for World of Color! Of course with me being sort of a "fountain enthusiast", it's easy for me to be very excited over a project like this. But honestly, I think it's going to be incredible. The videos of the show testing recently look great!

Club TPR is Coming in March!
FitchCoaster replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That list alone is enough to make me sign up. Knowing that there's a lot more perks than what's shown, and its all for a very reasonable price, sign me up! Also I don't know if its just me, but I'm very excited for the lanyard, haha! Very cool. Time to finally retire the old, dirty one I use for my car keys now... hello Club TPR lanyard! -
Jaclyn and I are finally all registered for our first West Coast Bash! I think I'm speaking for us both when I say we're really, really excited!

RCT3 | Het Groene Woud
FitchCoaster replied to AlmereStars's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Stumbled across the thread for this park, and glad I did! The park has a lot of atmosphere, and I could see it being a world-class park, if it were real, of course. Totally loving what you did with the Top Spin, and I'm also loving the turnaround of the roller coaster that is situated right over the road. I'll be following this park for sure. -

On the subject of 4D coasters becoming world-class, I'm glad the idea didn't exactly 'take off'. It's cool just to have a couple spread around the world, they're unique coasters and I think if they were built everywhere, they wouldn't be so unique anymore. Having said that, I for one, am very glad to see another 4D coaster popping up somewhere. Glad the 4D concept hasn't died off just yet, it's such a great idea! I'm excited to see how this one turns out, hopefully it's quite a bit different from X2 and Eejanaika.

- Favorite new coaster X/X2, for sure. Super intense and disorienting, and when all the effects are working, it's just a mindblowing experience. - Favorite new ride Tower of Terror at DCA! I remember first hearing about it coming to California, and being really excited after hearing about its greatness at DHS. - Favorite new park The only park that opened this decade that I've been to was DCA. So that, I guess. As far as a 'new' park that appealed to me most: Tokyo DisneySea - Most memorable park moment Going to Knott's Haunt for the first time in 2007. Been addicted ever since, and every night that I've gone has been amazing. All the nights I've been to Haunt this decade have been very memorable! Oh, and meeting the Black Eyed Peas at SFMM, the day after my junior Prom. - Most memorable coaster moment First time riding TS:TR during Termination Day. Was blown away by both the ride, and that I was actually at a TPR Event, finally! Hahaha. Also, riding BTMRR at Disneyland while it was hailing was quite the experience. Painful... but memorable! - Best ERT session Termination Day, night ERT. Great way to end an amazing day at SFMM, it was insane! - Least favorite coaster Pony Express... oh man. - Least favorite ride Screamin' Swing at Knott's. Not that it's a bad ride, but I was very disappointed in it, especially after paying quite a bit to ride it. - Least favorite park I don't have much to choose from and I guess I've never had really any 'bad' experiences, but if I were to choose, DCA. - Most interesting ride you've seen introduced Intamin Aquatrax! That, and the 4D coaster from Arrow. - Least interesting ride you've seen intoduced Intamin Wing Rider. Looks neat, but something that hasn't really interested me much. - Your favorite TPR moment (favorite post, trip report, video, whatever!) My favorites have always been the Japan updates. Termination Day is a highlight for me, since it was my first TPR Event. - The decade's biggest flop Hard Rock Park/Freestyle Music Park. No doubt. - The decade's biggest success Intamin seemed to be doing great this decade, with great coasters and new innovations. - The best meal you've had at a park Clam Chowder/Steak Gumbo at Disneyland. AMAZING. - The worst meal you've had at a park I forgot which hot dog it was, but it was a hot dog with nacho cheese and other random crap at the new Pink's at Knott's. Wasn't so good. - Best park turnaround SFMM. That park, thanks to new management, has been doing very well lately. Especially when compared to the state the park used to be. - Worst park turnaround HRP/FMP - What was the biggest trend of this past decade? As said before, the record-breakers of the early part of this decade. Launched coasters seemed to be very popular, also. ------------------------------------- This past decade has been awesome, in my opinion. Here's to hoping the next decade is as great as this past one... if not even better!

Playing Assassin's Creed II on PS3 right now. So addicting! I haven't been able to put the controller down once I start it up. Much better than the first one by far, in terms of pacing and playability. I wish I could say how far I am into it, but as of now I have no clue! I've been playing for awhile, but the scale of the game is just ridiculous! So much to see, so much to do. I also got Left 4 Dead 2 for Xbox 360, haven't played it as much but it's a great game. Pretty intense - it gets my heart pumping, lol. Also better than the first game.

Pony Express! The ride is uncomfortable, too short, and just not fun at all. Not the worst coaster, but IMO, Knott's could of done much better with that area, either that or just leave it alone. It sucks away any atmosphere that area of Knott's once had and just... no. As you can probably see I'm very against this ride, lol. Tear the sucker down!

Funniest Ride Experiences
FitchCoaster replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It was the day right after junior Prom, me and a group of friends decided to go to SFMM. We rode Goliath and for some reason, one of my friends just started laughing uncontrollably. It set off a chain reaction and we all just couldn't stop laughing, the entire ride. I don't exactly know what happened, but we ended up making plenty of weird noises made through the ride, which made us laugh even harder. While dropping into the "helix of death", one of my friends, who happened to be sitting in front of another friend, started drooling uncontrollably, while laughing. All of a sudden we hear, "AW, YOU JUST DROOLED INTO MY MOUTH!" More laughter. And that laughter continued for about 10 minutes after the ride ended. We then rode Goliath the rest of the night. That has to be one of the most hilarious experiences I've had on a ride with my friends, lol. Nonstop laughter the whole way through, for no reason! -
Haven't posted a recent picture in awhile. Haunt '09, with a monster friend from the Doll Factory. (Oh, how I miss it... is it Haunt yet?) Me and two good friends at Disneyland. I'm on the left.
