Gifts and Curses (Live) [Acoustic] by Yellowcard

Disposable face masks, as in these. You know, those masks people wear to protect themselves from diseases and whatnot? So. Random.

^^ Ten minutes before I read this, I was shown that trailer literally 10 minutes ago, hahaha. I've never heard about the movie beforehand, however now I'm very, very interested! It does, indeed look very TPR. My favorite two shots are the ones of 'Mega Octopus' hitting the helicopter in mid air (resulting in it exploding), and of 'Giant Shark' taking a bite out of the Golden Gate Bridge. Amazing!

I saw Avatar opening weekend for the first time in 2D and again last week in 3D. And oh, my, god. I haven't been so impressed by a film in such a long time. The general theme of the story is what really got me. It's so relevant to what's going on in the world today. I think the visuals have something to do with promoting the theme, you just get so engrossed into Pandora, the whole world is really spectacular. I felt strongly for everything in it; the Na 'Vi, the plants ('the tree'!), the culture, etc. I thought of Pandora as a character itself honestly, which is probably why the movie was so powerful to me. The story wasn't the most creative, and the dialogue wasn't amazing, but the movie as a whole package is just amazing. The scale of everything... it's just huge and well, epic. Seeing it in 3D was also a real treat. I admit it was a tad bit disappointing at first, but once you get into the scenes in Pandora, the 3D is well worth the money. Overall I thought Avatar was mind blowing, and I'd definitely see it again for a 3rd time (IMAX?).

1. What are your initial thoughts? Great! I've never been a fan of paid memberships for clubs or websites, but being that this makes me a premium member for TPR, sounds awesome! The benefits that come with it sound like it would be well worth the money. 2. Can you think of anything else we could be offering? Can't think of anything right now. 3. Is this something that interests you? Yes! I'd really only consider something like this for TPR, so I'm glad you guys are exploring the whole 'premium access' deal. 4. Why would you NOT be interested in this? There seems to be a high emphasis on TPR Trips, so a lot of the benefits would be of no use to be being that I probably can't do most trips. Granted, there are benefits for sponsored events and much more, so this problem is hardly relevant. 5. Any additional feedback you can give us based on the information you see here. I think this is a great idea, and I really can't think of anything to improve on. I hope this gets the 'green light', and I can't wait for additional details!

Haha the surroundings are pretty plain and not all that pretty, but I definitely don't think it's ugly. Part of why I love SFMM is it's surroundings, actually. It just wouldn't be the same plopped right in the middle of a city, or somewhere else. The bare hills kind of contribute to the whole name of the park... Magic Mountain.

^^ I don't think there would be a "coaster war" between Knott's and SFMM. Knott's just doesn't have the room for that many coasters of a large size. Regarding Cedar Fair being bought out, I'm still not sure whether to be excited or scared. I'm excited for the improvements that may come, but I'm also hesitant... for some reason I can't put my finger on. I think it's the idea of change that's keeping me kind of unsure about this whole deal, wether it's good or band change, if that made any sense at all. Either way, it will be interesting to see how this all turns out.

^I love Lady GaGa. IMHO, she's what the pop scene needed for awhile - some real talent and creativity. I'm listening to The Permanent Rain by The Dangerous Summer. Great song.

I'd definitely put X2 near the top of my list. Granted, I don't have the biggest coaster count, but it really is a unique experience. I personally don't have a problem with the slight roughness, I think it just adds to the intensity. Whether you enjoy the ride or not, I think you could appreciate it based on the experience alone, especially with all the effects working (mist, fire, audio).

Not going to lie, my guiltiest pleasures at the moment have to be Lady Gaga and Chipotle.

Ahh nice! Too bad you're not going a day earlier, would of been cool to meet you there for a bit. Lockdown looks sick, as do the rest of them! But it's about time Haunt arrived, I've been waiting for this year since last year's Haunt ended! ^^ Regarding the 3D glasses, Knott's sells them for an upcharge, also. -

Knott's Haunt starts in 5 days! I'm going the 26th... when's everyone else going? And who's as excited as I am?! -

For those not following the Knott's Twitter, they've posted some great shots of maze construction recently, along with some other random Haunt goodness. Check it out: http://twitpic.com/photos/knottsbrryfarm The pictures I've been most interested in so far are the pictures of Terror of London. That maze is going to be amazing as long as the talent is as great as the maze itself! We'll find out in 20 days... -

Finally a video with all the known effects working. She's also more animated now, most noticeably when she looks down at Mickey. She leans a bit to the side, which I think is pretty cool: At one point, didn't Disney say that Murphy would lean down to the water when she 'lights the river on fire', or am I just imagining things? -

Here's a pretty good video of Murphy's debut: It didn't set the river on fire, and I read somewhere that it wasn't moving to it's fullest extent tonight. It still looks damn good, I'd say. EDIT: Changed the video to a better one. -

^ Hahaha, yeah, me too! I'll stop here because if I go on, this might turn into a novel... As for this: I was thinking about the possibilities for the facade earlier today. Loud sirens, flashing strobes, and I can picture "guards" on the gaurd towers outside taunting guests... oh man. It's going to be awesome. Behind London, I'm excited for Lockdown the most. -

There's always been something very fascinating to me with lasers, pyro and water fountains to me... maybe which is why I like Fantastic. I don't love it, but it is a neat thing to watch. That having been said, I haven't seen it that many times at all, so perhaps I'm just not 'done' with it yet. Ever since I was a kid, I thought it was pretty magical to have RoA transform into a huge show at night. It's not really that magical anymore to me, but I'd imagine that first-time viewers and little kids think it's pretty spectacular. I haven't seen the WDW version in person, but I think it takes the 'magic' out of the show by having it in a stadium. Part of what made me love Fantasmic the first time I saw it was that you wouldn't expect there to be a large-scale show like that there. I still think it's pretty awesome. The crowds though, not so much... -

Leave it to Disney to top my already high expectations. Murphy is dead sexy! After all the hype and the delays, I was worried that the final result would be less that what everyone expected, especially after everyone was hyping it like crazy. In my opinion, it looks amazing, and if that's just rehearsal mode, then it's going to be a sight to see in full performance mode. It's a shame Murphy didn't debut today like expected, but it's going to be worth the wait, after seeing the new pics/video. Her body looks so real, yet so cartoony! I can't describe it, but it's like someone ripped the dragon out of Sleeping Beauty and plopped it right on Tom Sawyer's Island. I can't wait to see this in person, however long it will take for it to debut. Thanks for posting this here! -

^ Yeah, heard the rumors but I guess now it's official. I wonder why, though? I hope Knott's has enough positions open for the ex-zombies to fill. -

The website for Haunt at Knott's is up now! Doesn't seem to have Zombieland as a scare zone on the website yet, though. http://haunt.knotts.com/ -

Is it weird that I found myself really entertained with this coaster? It was 'different' for sure. Not much else to say other than that... I actually enjoy these kinds of nonsense rides once in while.
