I haven't been on this board much lately.....but I have to say I killed my morning reading your tr....entertaining and well written. Thanks for posting these. If I could quote easily on my driod....I would refer to your comment on the walking through a haunted house alone...I did one of those in Delaware....is wasn't very long...but it was the scariest haunted houses I went through. Absolutely terrifying. But I scare easily...so I might not be the best reviewer.

Photo TR: Disney's Typhoon Lagoon
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to BeemerBoy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
An entertaining and informative TR (as always)....and the photo people in the water is really creepy and out of place. Maybe a change in costume or something? On a side note with about the underwater camera...there really isn't much technology change in photo (with the exception of digital). What it probably is, is the development process. If you take your film to a real camera store, where they allow the film to dry, and do some photo magic....it will probably come out really well. I used to send my stuff out to Kodak...unfortunately, the no longer do the drop boxes anymore. But I go to a local shop where there is a HUGE difference between photos done at a Costco/Walmart/Drugstore, then when I get it done there. Just saying. -
Hey Folks... Its been a while since I've posted on here....however, I wanted to share with y'all the video I made for the Air Race ride at Luna Park...its an awesome ride! I tried uploading this to Coaster Tube...but my computer is mightly slow and kept crashing on me.

^Ha!!! I was just at Great Adventure...and there were no gum 'wrappers' on El Toro. BUT....on a more sad note....The Air Force/Elvira/Fly Me To the Moon/Spongebob ride was closed due to 'funstruction'. This thread is pretty long, did someone already mention/post what SF is doing to this wonderful attraction?

Going to parks alone?
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to alilstronger's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I dont think it is odd to go to parks alone. I live about an hour and twenty from Great Adventure...and I'm a season pass holder...so when nobody is up for going...I'll go alone on a Friday night (or some random time during the week). Sometimes I prefer going alone, espcecially if the park is empty b/c I can reride until my head feels like it is going to fall off. However, the only issue I find is that random weirdos attempt to start a converstation (being that I'm a female might make me more approachable). -
Roller Derby Name Help
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to Teacups Make Me Sick's topic in Random, Random, Random
Ha! I like the combo of SF and Disney... HCL---why Ringo? Beatles fan? Hikaru--good suggestion, but there is another team that are called the madams...so I think I'll steer clear of names that overlap there team name. -
Hello... I recently joined a roller derby team, part of the process is picking out a 'derby' name. Some people incorporate parts of there personality into the name...then there are just tough sounding names, like 'Penny Tencherry'. I'm looking for ideas from you folks b/c I'm a little stuck on coming up with a name. I want to keep the name either theme park or a Disney related theme. My first thought is picking Leota Toombs (and my number would be 999) from the haunted mansion...however, most people have not a clue who that is. So, if you can give me ideas (there is a name registry that cant overlap with another skater)...we also can pick out a number (granted that the number isn't taken by someone in the team). Thanks!

Disney to acquire Marvel
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to ParkTrips's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I doubt we will see DC characters inside of the Disney parks...however, what I can see Disney doing is opening up a new hotel with a DC theme to it...like a superhero hotel (clever name). Or have some sort of restaurant in Downtown Disney. Or sell merchandise inside the park to appeal to the little (and big) boys. Mainly, my point is I would think that the company would put the DC name on the periphery b/c most people wouldn’t associate Disney with DC and the brand has been built without any of that Disney magic. -
I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed.
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to coasterdude5's topic in Random, Random, Random
^It can also depend on if your getting your bottom teeth removed. They usually are more painful b/c that is where your mobility in your jaw is located. I recently had a molar pulled...and had to get an implant with a sinus lift. It took over a year for the whole process (I went through the UMDNJ). The sinus lift/bone graft was the most painful part...I was swollen for over 2 weeks and had to eat mushy food. Thank god for painkillers! The up side is that I dont feel so redneck-y anymore b/c I have all my teeth. -

Screw Dollywood, I'm heading to Tennessee for all the cool mini-golf courses. Seriously, this thread is awesome and keeps me very entertained in an unentertaining office. -
The official NFL Discussion Thread
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to spaceace12's topic in Random, Random, Random
^^There is no need to be confrontational. I'm not arguing my point, something I wrote back a while ago was quoted, and I'm addressing what I wrote. ^Not necessarily. I've been in the HR field for a bunch of years and have worked with global organizations. Companies take there screening processes seriously and they have to be in uniform. If one person in a company gets screened, they all do, with the exceptions of different job classes (like a person being exempt, non-exempt, 10-99,etc). Although I'm sure there are a few companies that do...most companies wouldn't because they would leave themselves SERIOUSLY venerable to lawsuits if a person didn't fit inside the hiring criteria and were hired anyway. -

Weak argument. Not only was he playing football while he had this dog fighting ring, how does football straighten out a person? Furthermore, he isn't sick nor does he live on skid row. Regarding my quote, yes, his return to football is purely dollar driven. The NFL risks bad publicity in brining this lowlife back into the game. I've been told (I don't care for football) that this guy is good at throwing a ball and the Eagles aren't the best team...so it would only be logical that they can get this guy for cheap and boost there game averages-or whatever they call it. The law says nothing about him going back to work. He just finished his time...you shouldn't accept this either, most companies (like the ones us average folk accept as work) conduct background checks, especially for large, global, or national companies. If any of us had this sorted background, we certainly wouldn't be hired...so why should this guy?
