Segway Lawsuit With Disney Update
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to mcjaco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Why would people need to use segway's as opposed to the EVC's? IMO-People can really be J/O's and waste tax $ by going into these stupid lawsuits...thank god the judge threw that one out. -

Mini TR: Pie-Eating Contest
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to printersdevil78's topic in Random, Random, Random
mcjaco---It looks like this is the closest thing you are going to get. I think that when seeing this most people are asking themselves...why are there only 3 people participating in a pie eating contest?? -
^No coasters for my boo...He got sick on the astro jets in Disney.

My b/f gets sick on rides of anytype... He has young children that likes to go on rides.... Muahaha....now I can whore up the kiddie coaster credits!!!

That theory is flawed anyway since so many parks have vendors in long lines for more popular rides. So even if you are standing in line, you STILL have the ability to *choose* to spend more money. I feel like I waste so much time in line when I could be doing other things. And if I choose to spend more money in the park instead of waiting in line, I'll do it. A park is out to make money. If they have figured out a way to convince you to spend more money, they have reached their goal! Of course making money is the parks goal (I recognize that it is a business)...BUT I think by being so obvious that by principle I wouldnt buy one of those. Its just like a supermarket that puts milk in the back of a store. I guess my pet peeve is when a company is obvious in tricking people to spend money. Six flags is picked on b/c: A) They dont offer much to do other then spending money. I guess you can see one of the 2 shows they might offer but other then that, they are putting you in a situation where you feel that you need to keep entertained (translation: spend money) while you are waiting for your ride time. B) I've seen what Yoshifan is talking about skull mountain where a full empty train will go through the station b/c there are no fastpassers on it. OR the ride ops will let on one train fast-passers and one train of "regular" people. If they want people to be happy...I think the key word is blending.

IMO it is a sucker purchase. I know when the park is empty and my group has to have a break from riding...they usually end up playing boardwalk games...eating or walking around in the shops. Therefore, tempting to spend more money. But heck, if a person wants to buy into a product that promotes spending more $...thats fine by me...I just wanted to give my 2 cents.

If you call up the hotel directly, they will b able to give you the price from what I remember, they were about 5-10 bucks cheaper then the front gate and you can still go into the park early. The problem with the hotel package is that you are only paying for 2 people to go in a day and a half (the starlight package). I dont like water parks and why on earth would they give you 8 breakfast coupons and two tickets for the park. All-in-all, buying the tickets for the two days within the hotel was much cheaper then going the package deal. Unless you want to do the waterpark...then it would make sense to go that route.

Improve the parks image/reputation...born and raised in NJ, I know that even though the park has great rides, it is still not a place I would take children. Outside of enforcing a no thug/south jersey'ian policy...that one is hard to enforce. I would "improve" on is the prizes that are given away for the games and only give away stuffed animals. No more basketballs, football, etc. Until people learn how to play with there balls properly!!!

This Xanadu project is becoming a joke. The contractors have changed hands over a few times and the layout has also changed and seeminly everevolving. And the completion date keeps getting pushed back further and further. But they will have an indoor ski slope and tons of shops. Most people from NJ do not think this project is a great idea. If you arent from the area, you have to take route 4 to get to it. Route 4 is a main road that takes you into the Lincoln Tunnel (a major artery into NYC) AND its next to Giants Stadium/a show arena/The Meadowlands Racetrack. When a game lets out takes about 45 min to travel a mile down route 4...so I dunno who in there right mind will sit in traffic to go this this mall or ferris wheel. I guess it will be something interesting to look at while sitting in traffic.

Hahaha! Elmer Fudd!!?? My bunny can take him on anyday. (she is a real bad a**) I think the title fairy responds well to niceness and a promise never to bother him/her again with changing a title.

Jeeze, I wouldnt of thought that this article would catch such an interest. I'm not complaining about the additions...heck, I never go to the park when it is crowded enough to be standing in the que. The only thing that I hope is that...just as somebody mention...is they keep the screens clean that people can watch whats on them. I remember Hershey park had TV's thoughout the que...New Kids on the Block were endorsing Coke (they are such sell-outs). But the screens were so fuzzy that I hardly made out there oh-so-gorgous faces. Being that I was such a fan, prolly even sported my Donnie Walhburg (sp?) t-shirt, I was majorly bummed. I wonder what they are going to offer to download to a phone???

^ Dont hate. Besides who doesnt like bunnies.

An interesting article on what the new look of Six Flags will be and how they will communicate who there sponsers are throughout the park. http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/industries/media/article/flags-announces-new-inpark-network-flags-media-networks_463305_15.html Enjoy! (I apologize in advance to the Mod Gods if this was already posted...my search came up fruitless.)

Is Tower of Terror a real drop tower ride ?
Teacups Make Me Sick replied to krouvi's topic in Ask Alvey
I remember an old cast remember telling me that the TOT worked by magnets. I think he said it was along the same technology of LIM's. I dunno if that is for real, gotta love Disney and its secrets. -
Why the quotes around "with"? Its b/c they have one of those relationships where he only sees her through binoculars across the street, follows her w/out her knowing, and she has a restraining order on him. J/K Here’s a tip, basically all you need to do to "catch" a woman is just listen, have a genuine interest in what she is saying, and show some manners. If you are not interested in what she has to say, dont pretend. The money thing is a misconception for most women. If you meet one that is more interested in your money then you, you don’t want to know her. Good Luck
