  1. Been there, done that & so far nadda. We've already gleaned all the possible info we can from the zoning board documants since the park is being rather tightlipped about the project.
  2. You know, what with the fact that parks are now requesting the customer info be kept secret on the labels of the track itself perhaps now they're trying to conceal the shipment itself so as to keep us from following,or spotting the rigs on the highway hauling the goods & following them to their final destination?
  3. The only supports that are square are the ones being offloaded by crane in the phot, but if you look at the support sitting in the foreground of that pic it's clearly round.
  4. Jeff take a look at the supports at the base of DB's lift.....the supports we've seen thus far sure look a heck of a lot like them as they would connect to the side of the track rather than the bottom but regardless of the designer this is gonna probably be one helluva great (and big) ride which is just what KD needs.
  5. VF recently got renegade a few years ago & that's not a bad ride in itself....remember that, unlike SFI which plays favorites with it's parks at the expense of the rest of the chain CF bases their cap ex projects around the potential ROI of a new attraction.
  6. The supports are yellow from what Clint has said, hypersonic's supports are white.
  7. Magnum's brake failure was more of a weather related issue than a mechanical failure due to poor maintenance.
  8. If they want to cut down on load times due to loose items then just put a separate bin in the queue about halfway through much like the ones KD uses on BL:SC,V:TBC & Ricochet so that you can pick them up as you exit the station & at the same time are clear of the platform so staff can load the next train. Of course it's all about the extra $$ that Shapiro & Co. are able to rake in per guest that's the real logic behind such an assinine policy.
  9. Yes,rebel yell is the name & it's actually running much smoother than last season with no jackhammering on the hill just before the turnaround.
  10. They did the same sort of thing with TSC at SFA a couple years ago but just changed it's name & nothing more yet had the nerve to pass it off as a "new" ride when in fact it was 10 years old so SFNE's not the only park in the chain that's doing this.
  11. LOL!!! Good thing I opted for no chili on my hot dog at KD this past weekend.
  12. Looks alot like Intamin's version of a floorless train to me.
  13. Umm KD has THREE sitdown loopers, anaconda, dominator & FOF so they could always add a fourth but then again they could very well be adding a hyper & their attendance vs that of carowinds would justify the expense in terms of ROI.CF doesn't typically play favorites with their parks unlike SFI,if they did then CP would be looking at a coaster for 2009 as well as 2010 seeing as the last ride they got was close to three years ago. Why is everyone assuming that carowinds IS getting a hyper? just because they[re getting a coaster doesn't mean it'll be a hyper when it could just as easily be a floorless or something from another company altogether....of course the same can be said for KD as well but we won't know for certain until track starts showing up now will we?
  14. SFMM is a prime example of this as they have nearly everything B&M currently makes except for a hyper.
  15. I've ridden both a carnie version & BGE's with pretty much the same experience of nearly losing my lunch.Looks like the same company that did the carnival just up the road from me a week or two ago as they bought along the same flats....then again the ROF we had was blue, not black.
  16. We don't know the KD coaster will have a splashdown. The document talked about some stormwater runoffs etc, but that doesn't have to have any connection with a splashdown. For Carowinds I would guess they are getting the rumoured hyper. Kings Dominion being the only paramount park without a new coaster will probably get a GCi or something My two cents.. KD's ride will most likely be steel as well because they've already got 4 woodies, and let's keep in mind that the rumored hyper for carowinds might not be from B&M but from Intamin seeing as they've got no Intiman coasters currently in their lineup.
  17. Could end up being a looper, who knows? Just because carowinds is confirmed to get a coaster next year DOESN'T garuantee that said coaster will be a hyper.
  18. When track was [roduced for both of La ronde's B&M's they were shipped on flatbeds, not shipping containers.
  19. How can you upload multiple pics in one post?I was thinking about uploading some shots from my KD trips so far this season but have no clue on how,or where to start.
  20. You might want to try Grizzly,it should be open by then & since the rehab was so extensive it should be running rather smoothly too.
  21. On my opening day ride on Dominator last month my restraint was a few clicks looser than normal & I got some major hangtime in the loop but I didn't really have any fear of falling out of the train, now that doesn't necessarily mean that I don't prefer a tighter restraint however because I do.
  22. I got a somewhat decent nighttime shot of Americana on saturday, unfortunately I didn't think to do the same with El dorado.
  23. This is old news & has been going around for a few weeks now. What we need is more info showing the topographical map of the proposed location for the coaster which may provide hints on what the layout & ride type may be.
  24. "SC" refers to suspended coaster(meaning inverted) just look at a pic of Patriot's track with the customer label on it to see the code for the ride type. The yellow track is more than likely an invert & is probably going overseas but the red track is definitely going to a park in the US,my guess is either KD...or more than likely carowinds.
  25. No,it means "suspended coaster" as in an inverted design.
