1.That's exactly what happens when riding the coaster in the simulator. 2.I already tried adjusting the distance between the first & last vertex & it still gets that smooshed together connection. 3.Thanks for the info on the supports but how do you even select the type of track (steel or wood) that you want to build? I looked all over the various menus in the editor & couldn't find anything so I just started building. One final problem I'm having....and this is more internet related:Ever since I saved my track I get a link to it on my browser's page history for some reason & I can no longer have multiple links stored in the main browser bar.Is this due to the fact that NL is an online purchase? I'm using IE:7 but also have firefox as well & every time I log off I have to login to every forum online while I didn't have to in the past unless I rebooted my system.

It's not going to be done because it's nothing but a gimmick for starters & the ride has been confirmed as a giga coaster....NOT,I repeat not a vertical coaster as defined by the shipping information & the fact that the two rides are marketed differently on intamin's website. We only have one month & three days to go until the announcement so everyone just needs to stop wasting so much time beating a dead horse here....the pieces delievered so far indicate a standard cable lift similar to MF's,BTW in Clint's last update there were smaller red supports spotted in the staging area along with the rest of the track so knowing CF part of the ride will probably have red supports even though it clashes with the track color. -
I suggest you don't use the prefab elements. Just play around with the program and get the feel of how everything works. You will get better much faster that way. I finally finished a rather basic out & back steel coaster but seem to have problems with part of the track running through the station in the simulator & I had problems getting my end piece to connect to the station as well....now I have to add supports since they don't appear in the simulator even though I used the auto support option in the editor. How do you select the track type in the editor? My track appears to be the Swarzkoph looping track.

Not necessarily, if they use multiple block sections. That would make the capacity per train no different than BLSC's....as for trains I definitely think we'll be seeing the 2nd gen mega trains that are now in use at SFNE. -

Hyper possibly but B&M= not 100% confirmed. Remember that SFI has big plans for 2010 & 2011 & those plans could very well include adding a B&M hyper to a park such as SFSTL. -

Intamin uses kicker wheels as well, theirs are simply placed vertically instead of horizontally. It could be an intamin as one of the sections of KD's giga lift will use a footer configuration similar to that which has been poured so far. -

Did anyone go to the park over the weekend to see the progress of construction? -

SFMM already has goliath so they wouldn't need to add another hyper to the park. -
Based on the paragraph that precedes this sentence, I'm assuming the attendance comment is in regard to 2008... pretty good considering the park only added a waterslide in 2008 and still saw reasonably good increases in both attendance and revenue. A good quote for anyone still doubting the future of the park... With regards to that last quote by Shapiro then why is it "business as usual" at the park? I want the park to succeed, but at the same time won't be returning until I see major changes both in operations & new ride installations.

Now that the independence day festivities are over the construction should begin to kick into high gear this week. -

Someone on KDfansite posted a recreation of the 2010 coaster in no limits based on a sketch that was taken from the planning board documents & it's one sweet ride but I'm still hoping for more hills & less curves on this ride but we'll all find out come august when the park announces the ride. -

Let's hope that there wasn't any damage to the park or the track pieces because if a tornado warning was issued it means that a tornado has been spotted in the area. -

I recall seeing on one of the recent coaster shows that the shorter trains had more to do with clearing the tight radius of the vertical lift & sections of maverick's layout....a smaller train = a shorter wheelbase, which allows for a tighter turning radius when going up or down hills. -

If you look closely at the footers being poured there appear to be two separate connection plates for the supports being placed which explains why they're so huge. -

I highly doubt the supports will look anything like MF's, considering they're using stronger track to reduce the amount of supports needed. The lift should look dangerously undersupported with the trussed track to compensate, as opposed to MF's oversupported look. I think they'll use the B&M style A-frame supports for the lift like on Goliath in Holland instead of the scaffolding used on MF & the other hypers.Since the footers are being poured in to go into the station we can assume that it's coming in off the brakerun since this coaster is using a cable lift it has to go straight out of the station instead of turning the way the superman coasters at SFA & DL do. -

Good idea but save that creativeness for when we get the actual stats & layout of the ride....if you make it I'll definitely download it. -

I read over at KDfansite that they may be clearing more land so this thing can run next to the waterpark.....man if that's the case then this could prove to be a long & sweet ride. -

You know what with the flat track that has been delivered perhaps this could be a giga lite? MF's track uses box beam track for practically the whole circuit to handle the speeds generated by the drop with the only flat track being the brakerun, unload & load stations. -

For the last time this IS a giga coaster, not an accelerator coaster as this has been confirmed via the shipping label on the huge box of bolts/washers delievered earlier this week. If it were a launcher then we'd see brake fins on those lift hill segments similar to those on TTD & KK's launch track.
