Did anyone else brave the weather at the park yesterday? It was crazy as it started raining & just wouldn't let up for a good couple of hours. -

So far no new info on 2012 yet & no signs of construction either. -

Well how would you market invertigo with voo-doo(yes I prefer it's original name) there & right next to it nonetheless?Obviously if CF feels that having three inverts in one park(dorney) will work then what's to stop them from doing the same at their other parks?(most notably KD adding a B&M invert in the future). A floorless would do well for CWL as it'd be the first of it's kind in Canada & yes,the GP will eat it up if it's that as the crowds at KD still go crazy for Dominator. -

Not on weekends. Every time I go by FOF on saturdays the outside queue is full. -

^One of SFA's biggest problems is their lack of new rides/removal of rides without suitable replacement which caused me to stop going to the park after nine years as a passholder from 98 through 2007. -

It wasn't as bad as JJ with OTSR's,I find the lapbars to be a rather tight fit these days myself but I havn't been on FOF lately due to the insane wait times what with I305 so close by. -

If it's a floorless then the track we have so far would be stored rail side up,it may be an invert or flyer though what with CF adding two inverted shuttles to Dorney with invertigo's relocation...I so hope we get a B&M invert at KD in the future. -

They're using all the old info & photos from the paramount era site because it's easier than editing all the info. -

Probably to increase flashpass sales. Seriously they REALLY need to fix this place up with new paint, more rides(IW won't exactly be enough to bring me back) & better management. -

It says "MC" right? well maybe B&M are entering the giga coaster market with this ride?It can't be a flyer, invert or obviously a hyper & a DM is ruled out due to the busch parks contract for that ride. -

This thing is looking better & better with each update....I still don't like the lack of a pre-drop though as it's so "un B&M" of a thing to see. -

I so miss AT because I never got to ride it & always chickened out but I did ride carowinds enterprise last week so that kinda makes up for it I guess.I wonder what they can put in place of the tree swings for the kids? I too have noticed that it appears they're taking it out so we'll have to wait & see. -

They put the "x-works" name on the customer label to prevent us from figuring out which park a B&M is going to. -

If we do get a windseeker just be lucky we're getting it as it could be worse,we could be like MIA who in all likelyhood isn't getting a thing for 2012. Well, I'd prefer the SkyScreamers like the Six Flags parks got to the Windseekers. A bit more thrilling looking. Of course, no matter what it is, a new ride is good I suppose. I'd prefer a windseeker to that...of course what I'd really like to see at the park is a nice shiny new B&M invert after riding Afterburn at carowinds last week. Anyone know what the weather at the park is gonna be like saturday?I plan to take my GF down to KD & hope not to have to reschedule the trip on account of rain. -
So should all parks with coasters built on or before 1990 just start scrapping them because they are too old?? Doesn't seem logical to me. No. That is not at all what i said. If they are removing them, then yes. especially one that is unpopular. But by no means should a ride be scrapped just on the basis that it exists, and is old. SFI had ten freakin years to give the park a brand new coaster but chose not to & that's what makes alot of people less than happy with this relocation & there's no way to be sure that they won't mess something up with it's removal/relocation since they managed to do rather well in messing UT up to the point where it could no longer operate yet they still shipped it to the park anyway.

Well, the more important question is "WHY have a giga"? Seriously, if it's attendance is already so high, and with very little competition in the surrounding area (unless you count Darien Lake, which is hardly competition for them), then why invest tens of millions of dollars on a major new coaster so soon after you've already just done so? Hell, with very little major added for so many years, attendance remained one of the highest in North America. Then they just added a major new attraction to raise and maintain that attendance. How much would a new major attraction right now actually help the park, financially? Sure, as an enthusiast, I'd totally agree that the park needs another great coaster. (Which would give it two!) But if I were a shareholder, I'd question the use of so many of my funds for a park that's already performing very well. This thinking sounds like a double edged sword because on the one hand if a park is doing very well atendancewise then they don't need a new ride to bring more people in but on the other hand if the same park is doing poorly the thinking is they don't deserve a new ride because investing the funds into said ride for said park will not yield a high enough ROI to justify the expense....the way I see it it's eather one or the other but it can't be both otherwise no parks in the world would invest in new rides each year. -

Or RCTish. This is shaping up to be one helluva sweet invert, the French are lucky to be getting this along with the Raptor clone they got last year or so. -

Sometimes family comes first before all else & it's good that you've made the decision to forgo all the things you've become accustomed to for the sake of being with your parents now when they need you most.
