How about the patents for the B&M invert,floorless & flyer as well as the patent for the vekoma flyer & possibly the SLC?

Have you ridden Dominator lately?That thing was rattling pretty bad on my last trip & felt more like a vekoma than a B7M.

Yeah,2001 marked the last season of big investments being made to the park...the ride side of the park hsan't seen any new "major" rides(the new kiddieland doesn't count) since 2003 when PBR was installed,after that the focus became soley on the waterpark simply because it was cost effective & wouldn't rob the big 3 parks of any major coasters. I'm thinking:might they be making plans to install UT on that spot? Premier rides can refurbish it & rebuild the cars so that it can fit in that landlocked space between WO & Roar.

No way we'll ever see a B&M invert at KD (just a feeling). As for a new woodie, I'd love to see an Intamin prefab but I'm not holding my breath for any new major coaster for another 3-5 years. I dunno what with Dorney installing their third invert in 11 years next season I wouldn't put it past KD to hopefully do the same as volcano's capacity just doesn't measure up any longer in a park that's seeing high attendance numbers.

A frisbee or chance/morgan revolution would go well on that spot too.The park really needs more rides in general over in the old virginia side though just to even things out.

Well the park took this year off in favor of SSS but with the crowds we've seen so far they'd do good to add a flat or two for next season as the park is really lacking in that dept.

How about shifting the focus from a KD/BGW debate to speculating on what we might get at KD for the 2012 season? I'd love to see either another B&M(an invert would be nice) or a new woodie added to our coaster lineup but if we recieve a flat or two I'm not so sure I'd want it to be a windseeker what with the problems they've had at CP,KI,CWL & KBF so far.

What's HP's max height restriction? Sounds like they may be getting a giga to me.

That's why I always ask for a large powerade at KD as opposed to coke as carbonated & alcoholic beverages cause you to need to go to the bathroom more frequently thus leading to dehydration. I tend to save the coffee for the ride home.

I get vertigo just riding KD's flying ace so I dunno if I'd get on windseeker should KD ever install one.

Was there saturday & man were they busy. Grizz was running well but I will NEVER ride anaconda in the back rows again....that darn thing threw me around way too much even though the butterfly element ws less painful than in the middle or front.

Do any other floorless coasters rattle as much as Dominator? I swear the rattle seems to be getting worse this year & the ride is running more like a vekoma than a B&M as a result.

Funny you should mention that as one time last year they had a staff member walking out to the infield with a rake & bag in hand to collect a rather huge pile of cellphones that had been dropped from the ride.

Now Cedar Fair has failed at burning down BOTH Son of Beast and Mean Streak! Ugh... Well there's still two chances left what with hurler north & south still standing.

He told be it was near a barbeque place in the park.

it's about bored people posting on the internet I agree & we should be so fortunate to have two decent parks in earshot of each other when some people have to go out of their way just to visit the nearest park. I'd heard from a friend who went this past weekend who said that there was an area of the park blocked off for construction not related to SSS.Does anyone else know more?Most likely he's confused on where in the park SSS is going so as a result he doesn't know why the central path is closed but I'll take a look when we go saturday.

Thanks. Just when I had hopes that this thread would die out again...... It'll die out soon enough cuz,trust me they're NOT getting a B&M...SFI gave up on this place long ago.

Way back in the day(back in 82) I had to find out the hard way why they tell you NOT to run when exiting the bumper cars as that surface is slicker than snot & I ended up taking the "trip" so to speak when exiting KD's kiddie bumper cars that day.I ended up with some pretty skinned knees as a result of that & have always walked out of the bumper car building upon the end of the ride ever since.

Actually I'd go with the SLC.Volcano gave me quite a headache on opening weekend.

We should give it some time but at least CF has done more for the park in terms of big new rides than paramount would've....makes you wonder how Taft/KECO would've done during that same period? Maybe if they hadn't sold to paramount we might've gotten a decent invert instead of the one paramount put in.
