  1. I wonder? could this be B&M's take on the zaczpin design? The rendering looks like B&M's track to me.
  2. Talk about a drab paintjob, the park has gone the longest of any in the chain without a new coaster & this is what they give us?A 22 year old ride that has seen better days long ago. Maybe, just maybe this will show the folks at corporate that it's a park worthy of investment & we'll get some better rides to come.
  3. Just saw this on FB & wonder how anyone cracked the code into KD's website? It's definitely legit though as the renderings match that side of the park right about where el dorado is/was.....looks like I'll be definitely renewing my pass for 2-12 again.
  4. Isw it just me or is teal & blue fast becoming the new CF "red & yellow"? This makes two coasters with the same color scheme in the chain now....should prove to be a good ride for the park however & proves that any park can have more than one invert(here's hoping KD gets a B&M invert in the future).
  5. KD's Haunt was deffinintely better than BGW's HOS last year! Both of them have some great ideas up their sleeves this year and I can't want to see how they each turn out this year... As far as Elvira's Superstition goes, atleast it is only for a month out of a year! Spongeboob has been in there for 9 seasons now. ONLY 1 MORE YEAR of that stupid contract! Yeah but then they'll probably be showing that DA promo film at a cost to guests.
  6. The problem wasn't that they didn't invest - it was that they invested too much in too little time. Roar in 1998; Great Chase, Joker's Jinx, and Two-Face in 1999; Superman in 2000; Batwing in 2001. Six Flags WOA (Ohio/Geauga Lake) was even worse - Road Runner Express (Beaver Land), Knight Flight (Dominator), Superman (Steel Venom) and Villain all in 2000; and X-Flight in 2001. By comparison, Six Flags Great America built Sprocket Rockets in 1998, Raging Bull in 1999, Deja Vu in 2001, Superman in 2003, and Ragin' Cajun in 2004. Investing in so many major attractions in so little time helped Six Flags America in the short run, but became a liability in the long run. I'm sure they were having a lot of trouble making enough money to invest in a major attraction - even though Six Flags America is part of the Six Flags chain, it is still an individual park, and still has a bottom line. And, let's be realistic here - if Six Flags America was performing as badly as we think it is, Six Flags would have dumped it by now. Let's not forget that,at the time that Roar was being designed & planned for the park Premier probably had no intentions of purchasing six flags from time warner.Roar's design process probably dated back as early as mid 96 shortly after HP opened wildcat & plans for the now defunct TSC/SM probably go back that far as well. Don't forget that Burke & CO. owned this park from 91 through 04 so he knew what adding major investments could do for attendance figures as far as increase was concerned, otherwise he would've sold it for the land long before his company even aqquired six flags....it was just that he failed to keep the momentum going because he'd run low on captial to do so & the downturn in the economy as well as the 9-11 attacks didn't help matters at all.
  7. If you look at the angles of the upper right vs the lower left image they aren't from the same shot but are rather two separate shots.
  8. The park was doing rather well back in the early part of the last decade until the investments in new rides stopped...sure they could afford to go a couple of years between major attractions but when it became three or four years between additions(that were rather small compared to what others got) then the attendance dropped as even the locals grew tired of waiting for a major ride to come to the park.
  9. Try comparing the image of SFMM's GL with that of the SFGRAM puzzle & see what you come up with as I don't think the wing rider is the same since the puzzle shows riders with legs & arms outstretched & the cars appear to have footrests while the wingrider doesn't.
  10. You may be right on that one,but then again what with the way corporate has been only adding things sporadically to the park this may turn out to be one of those major rides they get about once every decade.
  11. Irene was a pretty big storm,I mean BGW,KD,SFA & SFGRADV all shut down for the duration(just to name a few parks) & KD as well as SFA are nowhere near the coast.
  12. Looks like the first bit of the name or logo is beginning to peak through. Going by the GL promo art the name should appear just to the right of the flatspin....I kinda thought about wether a GS clone could fit & I'm not so sure as the space between WO & Roar is pretty narrow but they could build it in such a way that it goes over the path into GC & uses the land up to were TOD is as that area is currently just green space right now.
  13. Never heard of that but you can get coupons from most CVS stores in the region.
  14. It's looking that way what with the removal of el borado.
  15. It's a recolored copy of the promo art that SFGRADV used for GL.
  16. True, but depending on how many projects B&M has going at the present time that may be easier said than done...so far they've got CWL,Dollywood possibly SFGRAM & possibly SFA & we all know that CWL's coaster is gonna require a LOT of track when compared to the others.
  17. Well remember how SFGRAM denied that IW was being removed? Has anyone taken a trip to the B&M plant?
  18. Because flying ace isn't marketed as a serious thrill ride whereas a windseeker is....using your logic they never should've installed flying ace because they already have a wave swinger not too far away from it's present location.
  19. Well, that ride didn't last long... Can't say that I'll miss it since I rarely bother riding it....just bring on windseeker in it's place.
  20. If you do a little research, you find out that it is in fact the only B&M Invert with a dive loop. True but technically the entrance to the batwing element on Montu & Afterburn would be considered a dive loop wouldn't it?
  21. The intamin OTSR's shown are fairly easy to get in & out of & I never have any trouble with them on I305.Togo standup restraints can be tricky to get in & out of however due to the lapbar.
  22. But you haven't seen the video. What? There's a video circulating of the ride?
  23. What's so complicated about the GOB restraint? it appears to be your run of the mill OTSR.
