So far no updates on windseeker yet....I so hope the park gives us a webcam to follow construction.

Maybe that's why the one in Dubai is not running. I've heard before that they were going to re-theme the log ride. Any truth to this? IIRC the one in Dubai is the former hammerhead from KBF,AFIK iron eagle is still sitting in pieces at SFA just behind where the towers for two face were located.

Yeah,remember how the park touted the ride as having six inversions when in truth it only has four?I don't know what impact the proposed waterpark may have had however as they always could've put it behind rebel yell where many of it's slides are today.

Well who knows what 2013 or 2014 holds.I think we'll probab ly get our next coaster by then as 2012 is a thrill year so 2013 will probably see a new waterpark addition.

Funny how they had all that room during the design phase of the ride but never took it into account...seeing as how the waterpark opened the following year I suppose they already had plans in mind for the narrow strip it now occupies.

Which would you rather have had?CF buying the park & getting a few more years out of it or SFI failing to find a buyer & closing it outright in 04 ala SFAW?That place was ruined the minute SFI put their brand on the place & made terrible marketing & expenditure decisions regarding it,not CF.

I first rode it in 92,of course back then we only made one visit to KD per year so I made sure to get many rides in on all the coasters back then.

Aren't we getting ahead of ourselves here?I mean who says that anaconda(as rough as it is) is going anywhere? It does draw a fairly large crowd after all....of course I wouldn't mind seeing another B&M (invert?) making use of the lake,I mean if DP can get away with having three inverts then I'm sure KD can do the same with having two.

Yeah but what? A flyer dropping through the tunnel probably wouldn't work as B&M's track is bigger & the tunnel was designed to accomodate Arrow track,thaat & the tunnel gimmick of the existing ride is 20 years old already so it's kinda lost it's novelty a long time ago.

Why would they? all they have to do is slap a "Six flags" in front of the great america logo at the Chicago park to mark it as theirs...I'm sure that they were aware of the fact that it was part of a small chain of parks when they bought the place in 84.

What with the way the "lake" has shrunk with all of the recent installations over & in it I doubt that there'd be much room for a eally interesting layout for a wingrider over there.If they'd just take out the butterfly turn after the MCBR then maybe anaconda could become a decent ride.

Very interesting take on "forced perspective" that the park chose when deciding where to place the ride. Turns out my 2011 season is over since I'm sick this week for starters & the forecast isn't looking that good for saturday....ohh well I'll just have to tide myself over by following windseeker construction once it begins.

Always go to Volcano first. I did, and I got 2 rides on it ,front row, no line. We never manage to arrive at opening so I tend to skip volcano.

I have a handycam & it wowrks rather well for both filming & photography at the parks,however like PCWNut said I would advise against making on ride POV's as it's against park safety regulations. When filming near rides or in queues just be cautious of guests who may not be so hot on the idea of being filmed,last year I had some jerk get all uptight about filming his kid while in line for Grizzly at KD when I was just getting pre-ride footage & not focusing in on his kid in particular.

Blood drums at KD was pretty darn good from what I saw of it.

I'll have to be sure to try it,I usually got for the middle of the train during haunt as it has the shortest possible wait.

I usually end up in cars four or five but always get good rides on Grizz.

Tell me about it...Dominator is a fine example of a ride that has developed the B&M rattle over the years,especially in the 2nd half of the course.

Well only about 70 feet up plus most of the end of the ride. They will paint the rest over the next two years. I dunno,we at KD have been waiting over a year for anaconda to have it's repaint completed & so far all they've touched is the brakrun/turn into the station & nothing else since the 2009/2010 offseason.

You havn't b een on Grizz yet? It's a helluva lot better than hurler that's for sure.

Based on my one visit for haunt(on a saturday) this season I found the park to be packed from the minute we arrived & it only got more crowded as the day went on & progressed into the night....not sure what the crowds are like on sundays though.
