I dunno,I've never seen the queue chained up like that before plus leaving trains on track rather than moving at least one offline & onto storage.

Doesn't he have a home to go to? I can't believe that he's STILL at it after well over a decade....talk about persistence.

Well now that they've taken care of the waterpark & family attractions over the last decade or so hopefully this will be the start of turning their attention to the thrillseekers once again,now they don't have to add a coaster next year or even in 2014 but some new flats to make up for what has been lost over the years would be a good start towards showing the GP that they're committed to improving this particular park. When you let one aspect of the park languish & stagnate over long periods of time it sends the message to the GP that you're not interested in running it any longer...after all that's why I left after the 07 season as,from my POV(as a paying customer) the park's appeal really went downhill starting with the hyper driven focus on the waterpark.

So far WOF has yet to announce & they're rumored to be getting the third & final windseeker that was purchased for 2012.

Yes, the removal of El Dorado would be very distressing for all fans of boring rides with maintenance issues. Yeah,ED is a sleeper,not a keeper. Was at the park yesterday & lines weren't too bad...I did notice on acouple of the oversize maps near the restrooms that they now have pics of windseeker on them so this pretty much confirms it.Arghh my head is still killing me this afternoon,but that's what I get for letting my GF drag me on volcano last night. Anyone know why rebel yell north wasn't running?they had both trains on line but had the queue chained off rather than blocked by a trashcan & that's odd.

I'd assume that theyr're getting rid of the old station as there's no further need for it. You don't think it could replace SFA's Hall Manor building? If their looking to improve Fright Fest for the future, this would be a good start. The old Skull Mountain station could easily be converted into an indoor haunted house. They could even extend the building to the further left; away from the ride for more space. Not gonna happen because for the most part the new ride will be right next to wild one for the entire time....look at the video & you'll see that there's not even gonna be room for a path there.

Let's keep in mind that the CF parks are regional parks so the locals are gonna really eat this up,I for one am REALLY looking forward to windseeker next season not only for the thrills of the ride experience but for the views of the surrounding area it will offer. Anyone gonna be at the park tomorrow? I'll be going and can only hope that it's not gonna rain this time for a good portion of the day as I'd like toget in as many rides as possible.

New trains for Iron Wolf will most likely improve the experience. The Mid-Atlantic doesn't have a stand-up (EDIT: forgot about Green Lantern, but Apocalypse and Green Lantern are like little brother/big brother when it comes to intensity). As for Deja Vu, they obviously relocated it for a good reason. It's not like a Roller Skater or a regular boomerang. This is an absolutely massive roller coaster, and it takes a lot of money to take apart, load up, move, and reassemble. They need to do something about those deathtraps they call restraints. The original train they showcased didn't have anywhere near as much padding as the finished trains do today. You're forgetting about shockwave at KD,which was the first s tandup on the east coast back in 86.

Perhaps they can move the carts over by I305?It would fit over there a bit better with the whole nascar theme & all.

Man I get vertigo just from riding flying ace at KD(chance aviator) & that has an OTSR & only goes up to 85 ft. in height...good thing KD's getting a windseeker & not sky screamer as I don't really even trust the chains alone on wave swinger & that's nowhere near as high!!

I'm still suprised that neither SFSTL or WOF have opted to add a floorless yet as they'd be prime locales for such rides ever since Dominator left the region.

If KD could only find a way to get rid of that horrid rattle(especially during the 2nd half) Dominator would return to being a top rated floorless IMO.Not that it's a bad ride mind you as the forces are intense from start to finish but it's just that the rattle really ruins the flow of the ride.

I don't think so...unless I'm driving by then as even the friends who I used to go to SFA with(who did the driving) won't return as even they grew tired of the park in favor of KD. Now if they keep up the momentum of this addition & once again begin adding new rides to the ride side of the park(especially to replace what they lost over the years) then maybe,just maybe I might consider returning,of course it'd be suject to wether I get my liscense as well,which I hope to do within the next year.

I don't know how many of the red zone staff were let go when the change in management took place but I highly doubt it that we'll see another coaster at the park so soon after this one. Sadly I think that original site plan drawn up in 1999 by the original premier parks management team will not come to fruition,if it would've then we'd be seeing that 140 ft. tall,3,000ft long B&M standup that was originally planed for 2001 & not a relocated Iron wolf coaster from SFGRAM...still this may be a new beginning for a park that was long overdue for a major ride/coaster seeing as how every SF branded park currently in the chain has gotten mutliple coasters over the past ten years but this one.Right now I'm taking a wait & see approach to how SFI plans to upgrade the ride side of the park in the future before deciding if it would be worth visiting again.

Who knows? The next flat KD gets could turn out to be a frisbee but for now I'll take windseeker.

Well both CF & especially SF aren't exactly swimming in cash right now so it makes sense to relocate assets within the chain,especially to parks that havn't seen major rides in a long time(cough SFA cough).

Yeah like Apocalypse using KD's shockwave's original 1986 colors ughh. Still like I mentioned earlier it's good tosee them give this ride another chance at a new location,and if they can work the bugs out then maybe other parks will take notice & add similar installations in the future.

I agree,I'd rather see a B&M invert over there than this & after what happened at KI with one of the dinos going up in flames I'd HATE to see that happen anywhere near grizzly.....now if it were behind hurler that'd be a different story. Edit:I hear rumors that the go karts may be getting the ax in 2012 so that may be where the DA entrance will be located,either that or the ED site.

Remember what happened with ultra twister?The park had planned to install it from SFAW but it arrived conveniently too badly damaged to operate & I don't see that as coincidence.

It's great to see this ride get a new lease on life & if SFNE can get it to work reliably then perhaps other parks may see the potential in the design....wouldn't mind seeing one of these at KD in the future myself.

Still no official word from the park just yet. I'll bet they'll have to shut down every few cycles though...not for mechanical problems but to clean the ride every so often when someone craps their pants from being up there.

Now if we can just get another launch coaster then we'd have two records at once. If it's legit(I'm kinda having doubts based on the 2nd & 3rd renderings,as well as some of the wording in the description) then it'll be a good fit for that side of the park with a removal of hurler someday being the next step to revitalizing that side.
