http://www.meadvilletribune.com/siteSearch/apstorysection/local_story_335214520.html Considering how cheap land is around there, I'm truly surprised no one is interested. 3.3 acres near a beautiful lake should be an easy sell. For comparison, I looked at land values around Chippewa lake vs. Conneaut lake. No comparrison, the chippewa area is way more expensive and looks fairly to majorly rundown. The park is hoping to sell this land to cut its debt load.

WalMart blocked in San Diego....

i thought the Sear/Kmart Merger was odd. Kmart's been on the decline for years and looked it. Sears had been declining, but somehow still looked nice and had people that knew what they were talking about (tool dept, auto care etc.) Since that merger, if you go to a Sears tool dept, they can't tell the differance between a drill bit and table saw. (I'm not kidding on this one either. I needed some drill bits and i couldn't find them, the sales attendant took me to table saws. I asked her why she took me there and she innocently said: Isn't that what these are? ( she was pointing at a stack of clearly marked items that read: Circular Saw Blades. the Kmart around me use to have the best submarine sandwiches though. Miss those. Great article, Wes. -

Partial retracking or not, it's still wrong for them to have to pay for it. If you bought a new car for 50,000 bucks and within 6 months you needed new CV joints, would you pay for them? I sure as hell wouldn't. -

Voyage... that's Sad and just plain wrong! I'd be screaming Warranty issues or something. Not even a year old and needs reworked. If I owned that, I'd be furious. I wonder if Villains retracking is going to have a trim added to first drop. I hope not. -

I still think it's sad for a coaster less than ten years old to need a retracking. http://www.martin-vleminckx.com/work_in_progress.htm -

Guess again. They have over 4000 stores nationwide and over 6500 across the globe. For 2006 (thus far) they have 1,800,000 employees making them the largest single non government employer. http://www.hoovers.com/wal-mart/--ID__11600--/free-co-factsheet.xhtml?cm_ven=PAID&cm_cat=BUS&cm_pla=CO1&cm_ite=Wal-Mart_Stores_Inc -
Ramen's fun to strap m80's to and launch them into the air when they explode. Noodle-Rain freaks people out.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/results.asp?q1=ALL&q4=&q6=&q3=&q2=&q7=&searchtype=0&submit2=Search%21&q5=walmart Some of the stories about Walmart on the above site are pretty good. Ginzo: I've read that article before. It's quite revealing about the business world. I wonder how other companies differ from Walmart on that score though. Of course, not many buy the volume Walmart does. -

^you've done your homework! ...and Walmart will teach their employees the proper way to fill out county welfare paperwork to get foodstamps, which is the real killer on local social systems. -

Maybe they should just transplant SOB to GL. Then, when it burns to the ground it would take out the whole park in one big whoosh. Then, Cedar Fair could open Solon Farms. Solon Farms would be a new (aren't they all) shopping experience with gorgeous (again, aren't they all) lake front views and a stunning (don't ya just love the word 'stunning'?) boardwalk. Some of the rides would stay, giving it a Mall of America flavor. Could be fun... -

yeah, not for your daughter for sure. But I could think of a few bosses I'd like to see have an accident with it. -
Call of Duty and the first several Medal of Honors were great. All were composed by the same man, Michael Giacchino. He also did Secret Weapons over Normandy and is doing Star Trek XI (2008) Great composer!

I could see them moving Xflight to CP and it would fit their one-of-a-kind coaster theme. The fact that CF is removing the newest coaster GL has speaks volumes of future events. I think the only reason they finished the retracking on WolfBobs was due to six flags starting the process and having all the materials for it. Do I think they're retrack Villain? I think they will. When they move that one too. No sense paying to retrack it and then move it. Yeah, there were many things I did not like about 6flags, but they did bring a few new ride experiences to the area. Superman Ult Escape was a first for Ohio, as was Batman and they capped it with X-Flight. the animal shows were great and were always packed with people. To GL: to quote an old CP ride: "I see Earthquake in your Future!" -
