Photo TR: The Old Man takes his camera to Spain with TPR.
Louise replied to OldJJman's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
^ Me too!!! I'm not even a Family Guy fan, and at random intervals during the trip and then ever since, in completely silence, suddenly I hear "I'm a tumour I'm a tumour I'm a tumour!" and have to sing it. Grrr. That picture IS odd, it's like my whole body is hidden behind Robb. LOL at Piers's ghostly chef!! Ed looks like he has a wooden ponytail, and there's something off about the perspective of the green things behind Elissa. Interesting focus. -
LOL, I was literally JUST about to hit "Reply" to post that!! The whole fun of it is gone if we have no idea whether it looks nothing like you or exactly like you, and I think I only know what two of the people in this thread so far actually look like so... Help us out here!

^ LOL!!!!!! Would YOU look happy?! I'd had a quiet evening in the room, decided to "pop down to the bar for half an hour", I'm waiting to get my drink at the bar, and suddenly some random Spanish dude grabs me and starts swinging me around the dancefloor?! All I ask is for a quiet life. Thank God you were there with your camera, Rob! If not for you, this event would have gone entirely undocumented!

My Ongoing Spain PTR
Louise replied to RaptorBoyASU's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Kyle this is like crack, give me more! Thanks for the lovely compliments (and for carrying my shit in your bag all week ), you were even more a fantastic person than I was expecting too, and Jon. I missed the lack of affection once you two disappeared off home, glad to see you both got back safely! [/ass-kissing] Good thing were so many other fab people to keep me occupied! I miss everyone so much and can't wait to see you all again. Mmmm, sangria... Mmmm, croquettes... Mmmm, Spanish parks. Thanks for posting Kyle, great pics! -
OMG Hanno, that picture is freaking hysterical!! Kyle, the add-on was a whole lot of fun, but you were VERY much missed by many of us, believe me. You too Jon, and Rich and Melanie and my Brit boys and all the others who left after Spain! Was great to meet all the new people, just a shame not everybody was there. But there'll be other trips and other times. The parks were all awesome, and I'll probably try and post some kind of trip report without pictures at some point, but it's the people that really made the trip for me. Alveys, the Panthers, the Retarded Yellow Hat Crew, the surviving members of the BotBC, the people who were on the UK trip last year but I only got to know this year, the new people, and everybody else... I never thought anything could live up to the UK trip, but this was insanely amazing and I'm missing it (and you all) already! Only slight sore point on the trip was losing (on the very last night before I flew home) a bag containing 180 cigarettes, my graduation hat (this is the thing I'm most bummed about because that's an awesome memory and souvenir, sorry Larry ), my Zamperla cap (Bruno, can I get another one?!), and my block of wood from Troy. :(:( *sob* To those of you who are bitching about updates, everybody seems to be being too nice to you people. This trip was exhausting for everybody, let alone Robb and Elissa, who had 800 other things to do on top of having fun in the parks. You should be grateful that Robb posts any updates at all whilst on a trip, I sure as hell wouldn't. You *know* how busy he is, yet you continue to bitch and whine? I suggest you get lost, and find some other way of distracting yourself in order to remain patient. The updates aren't thrown together in ten minutes, even these mini forum updates can take several hours, and he does actually want to eat, sleep, and spend time with his wife, daughter, and friends at some point. I knew there had been one or two complaints earlier in the thread, but I didn't realise there were members here who were stupid, inconsiderate, and rude enough to actually continue bitching. Seriously, banning you guys until all the updates are done sounds like a GREAT plan to me. Amazing trip. Yum.

I have internet access for the first time all trip (and this keyboard is entirely fucked up, so apologies fo any typos) and just read through this entire thread... Just wanted to say thank you to Robb for posting these mini-updates, some of these pics had me literally cracking up with laughter, so many great memories already! I also like that I know a couple of my friends are reading this and seeing where we've been, seeing as it's been somewhat busy and difficult to keep in touch! Am about to head down to the bar for a drink but will probably post a big-ass long post of random thoughts later on, so much to say already and including the add-on we're really only halfway through! This trip is all kinds of awesome. That is all. -Lou

That isn't too bad, I was expecting you to say £1-£2, but still, it's the principle of it, and it does seem silly.

Photo TR: Orlando parks and DisneyQuest
Louise replied to WillMontu's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've always wanted to go to DisneyQuest, seems like pics from the inside are pretty rare, was glad to see these, thanks Will. I *must* make it there someday soon. Mmmmm, EPCOT. -
How much are Thorpe and Chessington charging?! Unbelievable. I always pick up an Alton map (well, one per year, I throw away any repeats) even though they're rarely used, but no way would I bother if I had to pay. The only time I'd ever heard of paying for maps anywhere is when somebody writes to/calls a park and asks for one, then sometimes they ask for a small fee, but I was not aware that this was a common occurrence just visiting a park.

Happy birthday Will and Tom!

Although the Cyclone is iconic and old, we decided a while ago that it just wasn't practical to have birthday threads for coasters, otherwise we'd end up with hundreds of them all over the site. Locking. Thanks!! --Lou

Photo TR: Nicole does Sylvan Beach
Louise replied to niiicolaaah's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This update did not have enough Nicole pictures!! I was disappointed!! I saw a Solo-Nicole TR and expected a good half a dozen... Still nice pics though. -
LOL at "Donkey died! ". Nice way to wrap it up Scott, though I'm surprised that there were three you think might be lost!! One or two of them will probably randomly arrive in about three months' time.

Oh I know, I figured that! I love parks with beautiful scenery around.

Kentucky Kingdom (SFKK, KK) Discussion Thread

^ C'mon now Mike, you know what he means. I'm still wondering how she's doing, I do hope they managed to reattach her feet, though I actually don't know which is more difficult: learning to walk with prosthetics (assuming they were suitable), or learning to walk after an amputation and re-amputation. This article concerning the beginning of the investigation actually has a few random interesting tidbits, but nothing we didn't already know really I don't think. http://www.kentucky.com/454/story/105717.html Edited to add a few emboldened parts.
