  1. Best icehouse of the trip! Richard and I stayed in there for a good ten or fifteen minutes. WTF was with the sunflowers?!
  2. I love you guys so much. Chicago/Indy trip totally rocked because of you all, thanks so much for hanging out with me!! And I'm so so glad you guys are alright after the gnarly tyre incident!! "The car has been humming along nicely, we'll be fine...."
  3. Oh, guys, I can totally be bothered to post one of those!!! Thanks to Cameron for being photographer!
  4. It was excellent to finally meet you Scott, it was a really fun day! I'll probably add my pictures in here at some point, when I have enough energy to actually sort them out!! I never got any of the candy, I voluntarily left mine at Cameron's, which I suddenly regret! Thanks so much to you all for making the first part of my trip so much fun!!!

    New Ultracoaster

I am kind OF bored with this now. Oh, and I'm offended by the implication that I support United. Have a nice holiday.
  6. See guys, I always tell you I'm the nice guy... Thanks Jow, nicely done.
  7. Not that cold?!?!?! You people are insane, that water was damn freezing!!!! Brrrr!! Yay for more updates!! Thanks for posting Kyle. I really like that first picture of me, Jon and Hector on the beach.
  8. This thread is entirely based around rumour and speculation. We have a Speculation thread over on the Theme Parks board just for this kind of discussion, please feel free to continue this there, I'm closing this one. And trufflesnouter, please tone down the attitude, it's getting kinda old. Thank you.
  9. Not any longer we aren't. I don't see why this matters, and why you feel the need to debate it at all. Move on, back on topic, please.
  10. Yeah, I think this can pretty much be closed now. Bumping old discussion threads is fair enough on occasion, but bumping old news threads is pretty much pointless. Thanks!! --Lou
  11. Robb and Elissa would agree that it's the people who make the site what it is, but at the same time, there has to be some control over the place, and that comes from the people who pay for the site, run it, and started it in the first place. In other words, Robb and Elissa. So yes, as much as opinions on most things are more than welcomed, their rules stand, and we aren't debating them here, thank you very much. We now return you to your regularly scheduled Spam threads discussion. Thank you.
  12. ^ Please try and use better grammar and punctuation in your posts, and don't capitalise every word, it makes them very difficult to read. Thank you.
  13. ^ What Jessica Alba one? Will is correct, many of the most active mods are off on the Midwest trip, though there are a few of us left. Please be patient, we get rid of stuff as quickly as we can.
  14. Yeah, seeing as ttdmaster posts from the exact same IP as another of our members who I believe may have been warned about those type of links before... I think I'll go ahead and lock this thread. Funny ideas though guys, thanks for the comedy! --Lou
  15. 1- Call her at least 37 times per day. 2- Buy her a lot of stuff for no apparent reason. 3- Constantly compliment her, especially when it relates to various parts of her body. 4- Smile nervously and fidget often around her. 5- Tell her you want to marry her on the first date. 6- Pay no attention to your personal hygiene. Women love a rebel. 7- Invite her over to watch your Ultimate Fighting Championship DVDs. Or, if you're from Atlanta, take her to a dogfight. 8- Ignore the restraining order. She's just playing hard to get. As a girl, I confirm all of these things to be GREAT turn-ons for women around the world.
  16. Beautiful hotel, and a stunning-looking park too! Euromir has always intrigued me looks-wise, and the theming at this place is very detailed. Looking forward to getting there someday soon!
  17. Shari, I'm so terribly sorry for your loss, but I do think it's wonderful that you have the strength to post this tribute, it really made me think. It's awesome that your mum shared your passion for parks and continued to visit them even when she couldn't ride anymore! Very cool. I know she'll be very much missed, but I'm glad she passed a passionate interest in something down to you, which I know you're passing down to your daughter now too! I enjoyed reading your memories, thank you so much for sharing, and my thoughts are with you and your family. It's a cliché, and you'll never stop missing her (neither should you), but time's a great healer.
  18. Dude, no way! I started my own Retarded RED Hat Group, remember?? EDIT: Pic doesn't work, oh well. See Kyle's PTR!!
  19. LOL, it's my own fault, I picked yellow but then realised later that it wasn't a nice yellow and I wish I'd gotten a pink one! I tried again later, but all they had left was green (which is how I ended up with two).
  20. I'm flattered and all, but I don't think this was the answer he was looking for... Unless there's some joke I've missed. I'm assuming he's referring to Kristie, whose ass we all grabbed in the Spain updates?? This game seems kinda silly if you're gonna use questions with subjective answers.
  21. ^ I have a spare one! But it isn't pink. I wasn't special enough to get a pink one.
  22. I really really liked both Fear's and Force's "insane" parts, as it was COMPLETELY unexpected, as in I wasn't even aware that there WAS such a feature, let alone what they actually were. Loved them both. But as for the overall ride, I preferred Fear, and re-rode it more than Force. Really did like both sides though.
  23. Agreed, and it seems like most of us who DO exist got into parks from an early age (as a general interest I mean, "enthusiasm" sometimes comes later) through location or family or something like that. Didn't your parents go to WDW for their honeymoon, Nic?? And in my case it comes from spending time in Florida with my brother as a kid.
  24. ^ Oh my God, I'm so ashamed of myself for leaving The Cure off my list before!! I LOVE The Cure.
  25. My family did the same thing. And it didn't just apply to theme parks, it was the same thing anywhere major, such as huge shopping malls, where I did once get lost... I was always shown a particular place to find my way to if I got lost, and told that if I didn't know how to get to that place, I should find somebody who worked at the mall/park, explain to them that I was lost, and tell them my name, my parents' names, and that they had arranged to meet me at X location if I got lost. It only happened once, when I was 5, and I vividly remember looking at a shopping centre map but not being able to figure it out. I looked for a police officer and couldn't find one, so I looked for a familiar store: WHSmiths, where my Dad used to take me every week to buy magazines. The employee there took me to Security, who put out a PA message for my parents, who then met me (panicked by this point) at the pre-arranged location. They were freaked out, but they at least knew that as long as I HAD merely wandered off, and hadn't been taken, that I knew to tell a responsible safe adult and to find my way to meet them. Of course, if I had been taken (which I'm assuming was the point of the original posters' letter), this plan wouldn't be much help, but it does eliminate the problems like yours ACTUALLY turned out to be, which is that your child wandered off from you. At the end of the day, your child can be taken from their bed at night, ripped from your arms on the street... It's horrible to think about, but these things happen, and the world can't shut down just on the off-chance that a child may have been abducted rather than just fulfilling their human need to explore. I see this kind of thing as the same as terrorism and crime. You can't put 8000 obsessively detailed security plans into action every time a parent loses sight of their child. But at the same time, you don't take unnecessary risks, you DO watch your children, and you don't bitch at Six Flags when your child wanders off from you in one of their parks and they don't perform a complete lockdown. As somebody else said, that's the equivalent of your child ripping their hand free from yours and running into traffic, and you then blaming the council for not having six foot tall brick walls along the edge of the sidewalk. It DOES scare me that not all employees have radios though... That's very surprising to me, especially seeing as 99% of stores, ALL security and customer service employees, and even the refuse collectors and walkabout staff ALL have radios and communication devices even in my local shopping centre.
