  1. ^ Really? Is VF that close? I don't know the area, but that's a good idea if it's sorta close by. Thanks for that suggestion.
  2. A Mega Wedgie. That is a seriously wicked looping slide.
  3. Zamperla MotoCoaster to further the overall count?
  4. ^ Intamin Bungy Tower or launch tower...thing...spaceshot...jackalope. Something like that. I might have to do MOA & WPOA later this summer if the $'s are there. Looks like you can fly right in and the mall is really close to the airport. Nice!
  5. Looking at the over all shape and colors, the track has a nice ocean wave feel to it. A nice sculptural touch. Hey, it's just a good looking piece of functional entertainment art. In a way, it has a coolness like Thorpe (?) Park's entrance.
  6. I appreciate the sentiment. Actually, the splash battle rides are ok, but I go for water slides and Intamin or OD Hopkins rapids rides, more than anything else. Splash country is getting a bowl slide this year too, so I'm extra happy about that. The ultimate joygasm, however, would be Kalahari or Great Wolf in Gatlinburg, with McDonald's, Carrabbas, Steak N Shake, and Vault Icee all across the street. Oh, and a date with Kat Von D.
  7. ^ That = true. From what I remember, it was better to have company, particularly in certain rooms and hallways. That's a really fun haunted house I've been meaning to get back to. It's worth doing. *sigh* I love Gatlinburg. Wadda great town.
  8. Nice! I like this concept.
  9. "Rodents of unusual size? I don't think they exist." If the rat was a ton, man I'd hate to see the cage and wheel!
  10. Grandpa slime geyser, from the old country. With all the Sponge Bob and Timberland Twister of late, I have a new appreciation for Gerstlauer. This one in your TR is pretty cool. Thanks for another update.
  11. At first, I thought this was just clever titling. But I was wrong...so VERY wrong. This was just epic. Period. Wow. Somewhere I have a podcast of Haunted Mansion or Tower of Terror(pretty sure it's WDW) and I think you're in it. Will have to check. On a side note, the best adlib I've heard of the "Drag your bodies to the dead center of the room" line came from a female cast member in another podcast or vid. She says "Kindly drag your bodies to the dead center of the room, away from the walls. I just cleaned them." Her snapped and slightly irrated delivery made it. Back on topic, terrific TR!
  12. Now I REALLY wanna go since I've been dying to try a bowl...slide. With Deluge and a Tornado (They have one right?) and now a bowl, I'm a happy guy. And they have Penguin's Blizzard River too. Sweet!
  13. Hey, really glad they finished up before I went to work this morning. Brilliant! Two words. Big Pineapple. Well, if ya gotta split hairs, I was going by the NASA assembly rules, i.e. the time two objects touch and have at least one connection, then that's the official time of installation. All the other bolt tightening is post facto, but whatever. Have it your way. It's done, I'm happy. Next.
  14. Uh-oh, webcam's down again. And just when it was getting to the good part...(last track piece on the top of the loop). EDIT: At 5:40 am central US time, the last section of track was installed. And there was much rejoicing.
  15. Half the loop is up and it looks like they're working on the drop, just out of frame. And back in frame.
  16. I get the feeling that was the original intent, but B&M had too much on their plate, so MS was contracted. While I like HD, I'm glad to see a new coaster go in over there. Anybody else catch the similarities to the situation leading up to Drachen Fire (B&M couldn't do it due to other obligations so Arrow stepped in)? Don't worry, I'm not bashing anyone nor saying this project will come out as badly as DF, just noting a coincidence. Bottom line, it'll be a fun ride and good addition.
  17. I like chocolate milk. And potatoes. But not at the same time.
  18. Best drop ride? Any one I'm not riding. Oh...that would be ALL of them. What a coincidence.
  19. I'll support that. yuk yuk... rolling d6...a 5. I do not blow up for that. Not too much left to install on Plunge, then it's whatever scenery. More of those wall coverings are up today. Been fun following this amid my sleep deprived states. Looking forward to the thing running. Also, I wonder if they'll leave the webcams up after the conversion.
  20. ^ Thanks Looty! Much appreciated. Curious. Mystery Mine gets replaced by a Euro Fighter coaster. Another Euro fighter coaster, made by the same company, is called Mystery Mine at another park. Somehow, this all traces back to Kevin Bacon.
  21. I was one of those lucky souls. What a shame.
  22. Wow! That is just an awesome park. Love the detail and themeing. There's a slim chance the Barnes and Noble around the corner might have the Jones Bubble Gum soda you spoke of. Matter of fact, Target might too. Will check in the next couple days. Terrific report!
  23. Eh, it's all in good light-hearted fun. right?
  24. Weirdly, my first park was Six Flags St Louis, 1 week after this happened! Also a Togo stand-up train fan. Loved KI King Cobra and KD Shockwave for years (except for the recent paintjob on shock). The EXT trains put too much force on the tracks and had to be removed. ACE now owns the trains and keeps them in storage to eventually put them in the planned coaster museum. EXT is one of a few I've built in RCT3 for fun. Thanks to Shane, I was also able to build the Pipeline Prototype test track, and the Corkscrew Prototype. His info is a BIG help.
