Never been on the Florida one, but I was disappointed by the Hollywood one. I enjoyed Indy a lot more at Disneyland -

Only in BC and Ontario. I'm in Alberta (oil country) which has a legal age of 18. Had a few Alexander Keith's White tonight. Easy drinking, very enjoyable. -

I've never been to any of those so I can't say. But this was the first coaster I've gone backwards on. -

Entertaining, funny ride ops.
Dino_Martini replied to GivenOneChance's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Pretty much all the ride op's at the disney parks. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror especially. -
I sort of liked the 'California' parts to it. But then again, I am from Canada and my idea of what 'California' is, is different to a person from California. I thought DCA was a okay park. Im really glad I got to see it before the construction. If my mom and I go to California again this summer, I guess will get to take a peak at the construction. Though I would imagine that a few of those projects would be completed by July?

Because Disney's California Adventure is located within a residential zone and must adhere to certain noise restriction guidelines, special "scream" tubes were designed for California Screamin' to muffle the Guests' screams during those thrill portions of the ride that are sure to elicit such a reaction (according to Wikipedia)

Physics Class and Roller Coasters
Dino_Martini replied to Sunfire's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Im taking physics. At the end of the course we get to take a day off, and go to Galaxy Land in West Edmonton Mall. Ride all the rides out there. Its going to be awesome. -
I've read some people comparing Orlando's Tower of Terror to DCA Tower of Terror. Can someone explain to me why DCA version is 'bad tower'? I have only been on the DCA version, and I thought it was a pretty good ride. Am I missing something? Is the Orlando version like double the height or something?

Guitar Hero World tour Vs. Rock Band 2
Dino_Martini replied to kalvin's topic in Random, Random, Random
Rock Band 2 has a good track list but Guitar Hero World Tour has way better guitars. -
(I did use the search function, but there wasnt a lot pertaining to what Im asking.) Ok TPR. Interestingly enough, my mom was talking to some friends about our trip to Disneyland and what a great time we had (we did, it was awesome, love Disneyland). And the friends were like "Well, now you have to go check out Disney World. Its massive, so much more to do, Universal Orlando is better then the one in California as well". That coupled with a few other things, that were sort of in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Orlando. Now I have school, and my parents are like religious about school attendance so there is no freaking way they would let me take like 10-14 days off from school. (well I could suggest it, but I dont see it happening) So its looking like we are planning for a Christmas Break or a Easter (April) Break trip. Talk to me about the crowds. As I understand it, a lot of people go to the parks during these 'prime' times. The lines are going to be long I know. But how long? We went during a peak summer time to Disneyland and the lines were never over 35 minutes for something like Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, California Screaming'. Indiana Jones was a different story, peaking at like 55 minutes (we would be like. pfft fast past and come back) Is that what we can expect during those times? Maybe with the current financial problems being experienced by some not as many will make the trek to Disney? I've done some searching on TPR for Orlando Trip Reports and such, and there is a ton to do it looks like. Test Track, Mission: Space, Dueling Dragons, The Hulk, Rock N Roller Coaster, 'good' Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror (why is it the 'good' version? I thought the DCA version was pretty good, but thats the only one I've been too, will I be able to tell the difference?). A concern I have is Space Mountain. Will Disney be taking it down for rehab any time soon? I would hate to go and have it closed, because I loved Space Mountain at Disneyland. Is it feasible to get to Universal Orlando from Disney World? We did a bus tour thing in California, that got us from our hotel in Anaheim to Universal and then back to our hotel. Should we do one day at Universal? We were done at Universal Hollywood in one day. What about Sea World? one day enough to do everything at sea world? I think that about covers it but I'll think up some more stuff maybe. Thanks TPR!

Unanswered/Dumb Question-Dumb Answer game
Dino_Martini replied to Angry_Gumball's topic in Random, Random, Random
As I understand it, no. but a bit of Googling revealed times when water could stay liquid below the freezing mark. If I stick my hands up in Space Mountain, is there any point that they could smack into something or be ripped off? -

Dino_Martini replied to LeeJeano's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
After experiencing 'Fast Pass' I think its pretty good system. A lot of the time if the line was short enough, we would hop in line and grab a fast pass. Space Mountain in the morning, 5 minutes wait, grab a fast past, jump in the stand by line. Its a good system, and its on all the rides that usually have long lines. Fast Pass for Indiana Jones is a must. They dont give out too many, its free. It was always always worth it to use Fast Pass (for us at least) and the Fast Pass line was never long. -
Disneyland was pretty good.

Canadian National Exposition

Conklin was on the edge, almost bankrupt. They sold alot of their rides to try to keep afloat, rides like the Zipper, Octopus, Drop of Fear, Wildcat. Then they ended up merging with another midway company to form NAME (North American Midway Entertainment). They run pretty much all the midway's at big exhibitions in Canada. Calgary Stampede, Edmonton CapitalEX, CNE, etc. It sucks that they had to sell off their good rides before merging. Drop of Fear was a great ride even though the lines were long at the Stampede. Wildcat was pretty much my first coaster. Because now, most of the rides NAME has arent really that great. Mega Drop cant replace Drop of Fear, no more Great Wheel.. Since NAME is running it, there will definitly be a Wild Mouse coaster, and thats it. Then you will get a bunch of Flat Rides. Gravitron, Zipper, Fire Ball, Swings, Sky Master, Alpine Bobs, Mega Drop. that sort of thing. -
United States Canada (home country) Thats it. Actually my trip to Disneyland last week was the first time I have ever left Canada.
