  1. Not quite accurate! You should have said "some of the best". Way more will be avail. here: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/toolbox
  2. Also be sure to use the latest AHG version 1.2, which does deal a bit better with any such effects, just in case you have not got it yet: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/pageid-6.html
  3. Judging ride quality by approximate length and height only? How smart! I'd never be able to do that...
  4. Don't always demand fences around everything, after all, whenever you're complaining about people being oh so stooopid, immature and irresponsible... ...why not take it for a great chance for natural selection!
  5. That program might well have been very correct. But: any "damage" g-forces could do to your health is very dependent on the duration of impact. For instance, rapidly sitting down on an "unpillowed" chair could easily give you 11g (eleven!) in your butt. Got hurt? No. And like jumping down from a wall about 1m (~3ft) high might pull up to 20-25gs in your ankles. Same with advanced skiing and lots of other sports... On rollercoasters, said "really really high g-forces" (4.5 - 6.5g) do occur for fractions of a second only, and "quite high g-forces" (3 - 4g) for just a few seconds, so besides the risk of greying/blacking out (which is a "harmless" warning signal, but not any actual threat yet), there are more than enough safety margins. Do not classify any g-forces unless you consider duration, as well as point and orientation of impact also. And now stomp on your accelerometer... 8)
  6. Sorry, but not this time. I have followed this entire thread and have seen your possible reactions on other comments. I'm not willing to put any effort in helping you while at the same time taking the risk of being flamed. Thus: I have nothing decent to say so I keep my mouth shut.
  7. Hehe, how ignorant can one be? The AHG works exactly as intended. Don't blame the knife for cutting your fingers...
  8. The "Tilts" on the Winjas. http://rcdb.com/id1235.htm The tilting lifts are already awesome, but the effect of that track suddenly tilting sidewards within total darkness is just uncomparable. I love these. redunzelizer, waiting for a free flat to rent in Wuze-Town.
  9. Looks like someone is mistaking mindless brutality for skills here. The fact that the rules for this "contest" are so totally out of this (real) world makes me think that any judging done on the results will probably be totally random and unfair too... No way with someone like me, and IMHO definitely not recommended for anybody else. BTW, Have you ever thought about, that presenting something like that might actually harm the well earned reputation of TPR? I don't think so.
  10. Actually, in case you don't fit into these initially, you'll be dressed in a white plastic wrap and have to drink 80 litres of water. Then you'll get another chance to ride...
  11. It's called a heartline. Sorry about that. Still don't get it though. A hint about this technique: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/tutorialid-2.html The basic design procedure within the NoLimits simulation is the very same as with any real-life heartlined track.
  12. Drywall is such a great material: http://antiotter.livejournal.com/144625.html Would have made TPR a much safer place! Too bad....
  13. I'd definitely say that Auto BergBahn is a credit. Reasons: Not only is it listed on RCDB, it seems to be a gravitational ride, no electrical donkeys required, utilizes lots of dryboard, certainly is radioactive too (carbon anyone?) and may easily be ridden after a larger dosis of lentil soup. At least that's what the canadian acrobats reported... Servus nach Wien, übrigens
  14. Yummy, lentil soup! 8) taken with bread and a nice shot of vinegar...
  15. Obviously they do, but certainly not as much as a typical woodie, I'd suppose. B&Ms in particular seem to need the least, but who is to ask for final proof? I can't tell for sure. And for any rides severly needing a 'break-down' there is too much personal taste involved to make any distinct statement, hehe... BTW, speaking of coasters. Rollercoasters anyone? You probably might be interested: Guido Andree from freizeitparkweb.de provided a neat video of the Deep in Africa site. The one with that special snake right in the middle... http://rapidshare.de/files/21455566/deep_in_africa.asf.html (full 5 minutes! ~51MB) Just in case, please do put on your diapers before watching!
  16. And don't forget to ride "Klotticoaster" / "Heisse Farhrt" on the way from Phantasialand to Holiday Park. BTW: more tons of Black Mamba impressions provided by Christoph Otten from freizeitparkweb.de: outstanding theming galore...
  17. ^^ It's said to be about 22 Mio Euros. 11 for the B&M Inverter, 7.8 for buildings and theming, and, naturally... 3.2 Millions for diapers (with so many enthusiasts wetting their pants...)
  18. Andy Weingarten aka "Cologne PinMan" from freizeitparkweb.de providing more interesting details: http://tinyurl.com/jwh7f
  19. http://www.blackmamba.phantasialand-bruehl.de/derbau/baubilder/2006/Mai_2006.html A very big construction overview (quite from the beginning on) here: http://www.blackmamba.phantasialand-bruehl.de/derbau/baubilder.html One could assume hopefully, that both the month's names as well as the outrageous complicated german year's numbering will be understood by at least some international viewers.
  20. Giovanola aka GTec has been out of the coaster business for quite some time. In the meanwhile the company is closed or is at least "in liquidation". See also: http://www.moneyhouse.ch/shab/1998_105/Giovanola.htm You may also note that CH 1870 Monthey is, where the headquarters of B&M are, hehe... See: http://www.bolliger-mabillard.com/contact/contact_en.aspx
  21. Rails getting polished, waterfall(s) installed... http://www.onride.de/viewtopic.php?t=23300&start=135
  22. In case... ...green olives and green pepperoni, together with a glass of dry white whine. honestly not that much into sweets, redunzelizer
  23. Just my exact thoughts, except: 2. Clothoid Loop - Werner Stengel (And yes, btw, Miller's upstop wheels seem almost as important to me.)
