You work the Berserker? I went on it on 3/26 in the morning so I probabably saw you! It was that ride along with the Spongebob Boatmobiles that made me sick! But thankfully coasters don't make me sick! Only the spinning rides.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

I didn't mean headbanging. I meant all I ever hear about it is that its very rough. So with all this complaining about Mean Streak, Mean Streak is just as bad as bad as the Grizzly, if not worse? & I thought the Grizzly at CGA was the worst ever! Oh & Physclone. Ok so 3 wood coasters tie for being the worst.

I read people complaining it causes some head banging but nowhere near as much as Corkscrew. But I read there are more votes to Corkscrew for being the roughest of the two. Plus Corkscrew is known as the worst at CP along with Disaster Transport. Then Iron Dragon. & In one of my roller coaster books Mean Streak is listed #1 for the most beautiful coaster.

I'm not sure what it will be. Whatever it is I sure can't wait to go to Sea World again. I've only been once & that was in 1995 I think. That is so awsome both Universal & Sea World are getting new coasters next year. I plan to go to Orlando close to the end of next year so both Space Mountain & Dueling Dragons will be open for sure & of course those new coasters I can't wait to go on.

I can't believe Disney would come up with a park & name like that. It just doesn't seem to fit Disney. Come on Disney I know they can be more creative than that. They know California Adventure had a lot of trouble.

I don't like the tall drop slides & body slides that are totatally pitch black. If I ever get over my fear of drop slides I will make sure to ride Summet Plummet first but I'll still probabably chicken out! once I get to the top & see how steep it really is.

Maybe it was because I went during the week & it was too early in the day for the fire on Survivor. Yep I sure heard in the Demon tunnel "Welcome to the Demon I hope you survive. Ha ha ha." Do you think CF would give us another coaster in 2010? Hopefully they see the long coaster drought CGA went through. But it seems doughtful since they're making a huge GCI woodie. But then again since were getting a flat this year.....it could be possible??? Here is the coaster timeline: -The Whizzer 1976 -The Tidal Wave(Greased Lightnin) 1977 -The Demon 1980 -The Grizzly 1986 -Blue Streak (Green Slime Mime Car, Runaway Reptar) 1987 -Vortex 1991 -Top Gun 1993 -Invertigo 1998 -Taxi Jam 1999 -Stealth 2000 -Survivor? 2006 -New GCI Woodie 2009 -2010??? Hmmm

No tv's, sound, music no nothing! I miss the fire. I could really feal the heat! Its so annoying how they took that all out along with everything else in the park!!!

Nice trip report. Wow I will never go to Disney when the crowds are that bad! I went end of January & all the rides were walk ons especially Splash Mountain. Next time if you can try to go at an off time. You'll almost have the whole park to yourself.

The Demon at PGA in 1993. I even have the ride picture too. My next one was Vortex! I remember my friend & I got to stay on for a second ride without getting off.

SFMM (when X2 will be open), Disneyland, California Adventure, Knotts & Cedar Point!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!

I'm thinking it could be the next generation drop ride thats something like Disney's Tower Of Terror. Where an elevator car zooms over the edge then drops down one of the falls into the water making it a drop ride/log flume! You would get soaking wet! That would be cool!

I went today & I was done in less than 2 hours. CGA maybe the worst park in history. I'm sorry I went. I plan on not going for a loooooooong time. It needs a HUGE MAKEOVER. One giant woodie won't do it. At least 3 or 4 more after that. The Grizzly & Demon both need to go. Theyre so old. The Grizzly is probabably the slowest wood coaster there is & the Demon has a jerky lift hill & going through the loops are rough. Survivor lost most of its detail like the fire coming out of the torches (which I liked-you could feel the heat) & the sound I liked that played "now stomp your feet" during the ride. Spongebob Boatmobiles they really turned down the volume to the song & no more bubbles. All you SFO Bay Area coaster fans will be so dissapointed with CGA. I sure was today & my day was not fun at all. Don't waist your money & time at this park. Save it for a trip to SFMM & Disneyland.

I hope you all at Carowinds are enjoying Nighthawk or I should say Borg or Stealth from CGA out here on the West Coast. That was a super great coaster & CGA desperately needs it back!!! I sure miss it.

OMG! I am so glad I am planning on going to Orlando next year! It sounds so AWSOME! All of Universals coasters are totatally AWSOME. I know I will love Rockit since I love the Hulk, the Mummy & Dueling Dragons. Universal sure has some top notch coasters!!!

A name doesn't matter. Angry Gumball is right. They are still the same rides we have been on & will always be known by their old names. If you don't like Flight Deck just call it Top Gun & picture the Top Gun name over the Flight Deck sign. Cedar Fair needs to get rid of the Grizzly. I can't believe Paramount had to get rid of Stealth & Greased Lightnin & not the slow moving Grizzly. That would be 3 coasters gone if they get rid of the Grizzly soon. A new woodie for next year, then at least 2 more after that I will be satisified.

Great America sure once was a GREAT park. Its so depressing now looking at what has happened to it. I really miss the themed lands: Hometown Square, County Fair, Youkon Territory/Yankee Harbor, Smurf Village. I remember how dynamic the Tidal Wave que area looked like a sandy beach & its wave outline streching down the track. At night it looked nicly lit up. I totatally miss these rides: -Stealth -Greased Lightnin (Tidal Wave) -The Edge -Triple Play -Triple Wheel -Skyhawk -The Lobster -Yankee Clipper -Days Of Thunder -Nickelodean Splat City & the big tower that shot water out of the top I was thinking about going twice this year but forget it. Elissa is right. Maybe I won't go for another 5-10 years when theres at least a few more coasters. One giant woodie won't do it.

I would bring back the old CGA & all its very missed rides: -The Edge -Triple Play -Greased Lightnin (Tidal Wave) -Stealth -The Whizzer -Yankee Clipper (water ride that ran alongside Loggers Run) -The Lobster (flat ride that was by Tidal Wave) -Triple Wheel -Put in a coaster in place of the Grizzly that would break world records -Put in an indoor launch in place of Physco Mouse -Make Boomerang Bay more interesting

Your park is not at all booring. Your park stole our Stealth from CGA which was the BEST at our park but no longer have. I still can't believe we lost Stealth. CGA is more booring than Carowinds especially since it has one of our coasters which they never should have taken out! I sure miss it. I don't think I'll be getting over to Carowinds anytime soon.

I have the silver Razor from Verizon. I wanted a Razor but now I don't like it since everyone has one! I can't wait to get a new phone.

WOW. Never seen that before. That looks like a coaster for the future! Looks fun though!
