Nice photo TR! I went to the Florida State Fair a few years ago and the midway was pretty massive. I think 3-4 midway operators are there at the same time. That's why you see duplicates of the same ride. Most of the same rides are still there from a few years back.

That's a wide pass if you want to go from PA to KI. You'll pass through West Virginia, but the only park I know of there is Camden Park. If you do KI, you can also hit SFKK, Holiday World, Beech Bend (a little further south), and Wonderpark and Coney Island in Cincy.

On the way, you could probably do: - SFA - Hersheypark - Dutch Wonderland (Lady Gay rules!) - Kennywood - Idlewild - Geauga Lake You can probably do Dorney Park and Knoebel's too. If you want to go straight through without going off the beeline path, do SFA, Hersheypark, Dutch Wonderland (can be done in a few hours), Kennywood, and Geauga Lake.

Try to avoid going to Dorney on a Saturday, especially from June to August. Everyone in PA seems to visit Dorney on a summer Saturday! Weekdays tend to be quiet. You can probably ride the coasters multiple times with a short wait if you visit on a weekday.

If you're talking about Universal Studios Hollywood, it's only one park. Universal Orlando (in Florida) has 2 parks. But I will answer some of your questions... LAX, Long Beach, or John Wayne airport will get you to USH. I can recommend the VIP Tour Experience since I did it 2 years ago. Your studio tour is twice as long. You get your own private tram. You also get to walk around in backstage areas, like the sound stage (you might meet a Foley artist), the clock tower area, and the prop department. You also get front of the line access to the rides and preferred seating at the shows. I believe there are a few hotels in the USH area.

I've never recorded video onto memory sticks with my camcorder, but I've seen people do it with digital cameras. The video looks like poo-poo. I say stick with the tapes.

Actually, I went to the Magic Kingdom during Memorial Day a few years ago and the crowds weren't too bad. The Saturday and Sunday of that weekend were pretty busy, though.

I just tend to stay away from pixie sticks and candy shops. If I ate a pixie stick, I'd be in a diabetic coma and I would need 5,000 injections of insulin.
