  1. Great trip report, I love that stuff also. I had a lot of those early console games including the Vetrex. Back in the 90's I got a few EM pinball machines from some auctions. I never fully "shopped" one, but I would clean them up and trade them for arcade games. In retrospect, I wish I had hung on to the pinball machines. Instead I have a shed with over 35 full size arcade machines in various states of repair.
  2. I like this idea, but it could be the fact I am a huge Tron fan. If Disney were to advertise another movie on the monorails, I would probably be against it. Can't wait for the movie.
  3. I was at the Great Wolf in Williamsburg this past weekend and the chemicals were horrible. I couldn't even be in the water park for more than an hour without my eyes burning and watering. The lobby looks identical to Williamsburg. In Williamsburg a winter theme going on in the lobby with lighted snowflakes and snow machines. I was impressed with the food at the lodge, your looks pretty good also.
  4. I would guess Bon Bon Land, or possibly the site has updated.
  5. 2 different clues today: A lot of people are saying a remodel of Ireland with a possible 4 D or IMAX replacement for Corkscrew Hill.
  6. I think someone got the answer with this guess: http://afreserve.com/?:Action%20Sports%20Pro%20TourAction Sport Tour one weekend in April I was disappointed with this one. The original quote does mention PLENTY of new attractions, so maybe the next one will be better.
  7. New attractions for 2010? from Facebook: Here is the link to the Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/#/BuschGardens they update it quite frequently even in the off season
  8. Busch Gardens sent notifications out today via Facebook that the park was at capacity and they were turning people away. It is safe to say they will be doing this again next year from facebook earlier:
  9. I waited WELL over an hour for the penguins. Then I headed to the Fest Haus for dinner to find the line all the way over to Dark kastle. I decided to leave and try it again another night. A BGE employee said "if you are only going to open half the park you should only let half the people in." So my trip report comes from the local news: WTKR news story and video
  10. I am REALLY looking forward to Friday night, the weather is going to be great. Calling for mid 50's and sun. Hope to see some other TPR-ers in the park
  11. I am looking forward to it. I got the $5 dollar pass member tickets good for opening night, so I will be there the 27th as well.
  12. That is a good question, its been there for about 24 hours - I would have thought if it was a typo it would have been removed by now
  13. My experience, if you go on a Saturday the QuickQue is a MUST. One Saturday last year we waited 2 hours for the maze by Festhaus. (old Draken Fire) Sundays don't seem to be as bad. My plan this year is to try both. We are going Saturday Sept 26 and Sunday October 11. Unless these bids stay low for the last ride on BBW, I may make another trip-----> Bid on last ride on Big Bad Wolf
  14. Thanks for this, I enjoy the Extreme series and its good to see some new ones coming out.
  15. ^Love the comet I rode this one with the yellow track last. I was in the park saying goodbye to a friend. This one
  16. That's bad news, I was going this Saturday to try to get the last ride in. I may try to push it to Sunday.
  17. Great trip report, I am glad you got to ride BBW before it closed. Riding Rt 13 up Virginia's Eastern Shore took you within 25 yards of my house. Great pictures of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (CBBT) You know I have friends that cross that bridge EVERY DAY for work. JD
  18. This news has saddened me also. Having grown up in the area I can still remember the excitement of seeing the commercials for the Big Bad Wolf on TV the year before it opened. I couldn’t wait to ride it – and ride it I did, I have probably been on it EVERY year since it opened. It was also the first roller coaster my son rode when he was 3. My wife told me not to, but we rode it together – and he loved it. When I first saw the rumor on Screamscape, I thought I may start a website or Facebook page to save the ride. (We all know how successful they have been in the past) But, the more I thought about it, the more I see how it must be done in order for park expansion. It is just a shame that this year after Labor Day the only coaster my son will be able to ride is Loch Ness Monster because he still falls short of the height requirement for the rest.
  19. Make that three, I even stayed at a hotel off that exit less than a month ago, and never saw it. Of course I was being drug to that HUGE Ikea that's is north of there. I also think that is near where they are building a new indoor water park along the lines of Great Wolf but owned by a different company. BIG Thanks to Big Mike for finding the place so NEXT time I can sneak away from IKEA long enough to check this place out.
  20. I really am enjoying your thread. I am trying to convince the wife we need to go to Tennessee in 2010, and this is helping. We are campers (RV not tent) and I have seen some great campgrounds in the area. We did Lancaster this year and she wants to go Myrtle Beach next year, but I am pulling for TN. Its about the same distance.
  21. I'm out, someone called in sick and I am stuck at work. With enough heads up, I can try for Freestyle Music Park with you.
  22. me too, I was planning on going Saturday - but I can switch to Friday.
  23. Great start to the trip report, I look forward to the rest. J.D. "thanks for the local humor" Outten
  24. Bush Gardens Europe x4 Ocean City MD (Trimpers & Jolly Rogers) Hershey Park x2 Dutch Wonderland Came so close to visiting Knobels on my PA trip, but the weather just wouldn't agree. Of course, the weather did turn my one day trip to Hershey into a 2 day trip - so I got to do a lot more.
