  1. Seen videos making the rounds on Korean social media of this ride with riders today. Excuse the vertical video: [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew]
  2. ^It's been maybe 10 years since I rode AIR, where those handles he is holding always there?
  3. Aquatrax's are a myth anyway, there's only trax's now.
  4. ^ Give them credit, at least they tried to make the the thing itself match the theme, could be worse.
  5. I Believe, it will go. I Believe it, in the snow. I Believe in Dolly, yes I can. I Believe it will open on time, Sam I am. It's just a matter of time now until Guy sings a Dollywood version of I Believe from Book of Mormon. Possibly dueting with Dolly herself.
  6. Perhaps Vekoma trying to make a new version of Battlestar Galactica? Or maybe it's the company that made the knock-off dual tilting coasters going for their next copy of a Vekoma ride.
  7. Lotte Worlds roof expansion would have had some interesting attractions, along with the re-theme of the ice-rink and main hub indoors, there's not many places they can expand inside to make bigger rides and considering most outdoor rides now have scream shields, perhaps because of the super expensive apartments nearby, I can't see this ever happening sadly. There was also a 2nd park proposed, like most things Korea these days, it was aimed at mostly families over thrill seekers: And Everland also was going to make a next generation version of Universal's Terminator 3D attraction based around Aliens with James Cameron: All photos from the Goddard Group
  8. Glitter and Bacon baby! Cause where there's glitter, there's strippers, and where there's bacon, there's bacon wrapped strippers covered in glitter! And that there is logic you can't deny. I should not catch up on all my TPR email notifications on the same day, now I'm getting deja vu on talk about bacon covered strippers with glitter.
  9. I've already seen a few pro-blackfish posts making the rounds again with this news.
  10. From Screamscape I'm guessing some sort of pre-show since I can't think of any rides at CP that have had a pre-show before, but I don't really know about some of the rides that are no longer there.
  11. So not to go too off-topic but now i'm seriously considering getting Cities:Skylines reading the above, but reading some articles it seems there a few mods that nearly every-one uses for some parts, what do you guys think of it?
  12. ^ Could also be Dubai based on the re-tweet at the bottom of the page (Dynamic Attractions latest tweet), the article says opening October 2016: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/travel_news/article-3474749/The-ultimate-desert-playground-Model-Dubai-s-2-8billion-theme-park-extravaganza-100-attractions-unveiled.html
  13. I keep going back and forth on buying this game, I used to love Sim City. Also funny that came up after Planet Coaster used this in one of their videos:
  14. Outside holidays or lengthy refurbishments (which it had last year) Atlantis nearly always has it's maintenance day every other Monday so as long as you avoid that day you should be fine, the schedule is put up each month anyway so if you want me to check for you ahead of time on the Korean calendar which lists the attractions I can do that but the English website they have the opposite anyway (as in the calendar is under each attraction name) Personally I've always preferred Sundays over weekdays for Everland though (I've gone over it in a few TR's and the discussion thread). Word of warning though due to quite a warm winter T Express only just went down for it's annual rehab last week so it's reopening could potentially be a little bit later this year. Normally it reopens when temperatures warm up around mid-end of Feb so hopefully you will be OK. Spring can usually be the busiest period of the season (as seen by the blackout dates for the cheaper season pass: http://www.everland.com/web/everland/membership/yearly/pop.html) including weekdays so I'd assume they want it ready for the busy crowds.... not sure how late in March you are going. March 16-26 If this Sunday was any indication, you've picked the perfect time to come out. With the pandas dominating the headlines upon arrival, Everland announcing them going on public display in April, and the water park completely closed until the start of April to prepare for season opening, the March crowds were extremely light, T Express was almost walk-on from 12-2PM and most popular rides such as the water rides and safari rides never rose above 30 minutes.
  15. It looks really pretty from a viewing perspective with all the cars in sync like that, almost like a reverse-Aquatopia. Aquatopia is really fun to watch (and of course to ride) just because of the chaos: watching all the different boats, spinning, interacting with the scenery, and not knowing where each one is going but this one does the opposite keeping them all in sync in those dance patterns, that shot just before the POV where they all faced the camera and did their sidesteps looked great from a non-riders perspective.
  16. ^ I think you're right, I had the map flipped, but looking at the Japanese name of the station it does put it next to Universal Station on the opposite side of the park away from where the rumors had it placed..... interesting. I updated the other post, thanks for pointing that out. I wonder why BTTF is the only ride off the fast-passes then. Space Fantasy is currently removed from some while the virtual reality overlay is on since it's one of the 3 choices of which 7 you get (flying/backdrop/XR) and Shrek is missing due to Cool Japan event taking over the theater but BTTF is currently operating like normal, could Despicable Me be coming before Nintendo Land?
  17. So, apparently, this will be the location and size of Nintendo Land in red, compared to the rest of the park. It puts it the opposite area of where the current rumors placed it (the BTTF area) since the station on the map near Nintendo Land is Universal Station. Also the budget is around $351 million dollars: http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20160305-00000502-san-bus_all I Looked at google maps newest scan for reference (Flying Dinosaur is just missing it's entrance pretzel loop), wow Harry Potter land still looks packed compared to the rest of the park: https://www.google.co.kr/maps/@34.6679468,135.4314259,120m/data=!3m1!1e3 Edit: Corrected location.
  18. A safety lanyard, plus it has an overhead strap and a chin strap according to the FAQ. I wore the overhead version at Everland and even without the chinstrap and lanyard it seemed quite secure.
  19. It's in the FAQ: https://www.sixflags.com/national/special/new-2016/faq On top of that, looking at the FAQ it seems they are using the design similar to the one I posted on the previous page with the overhead strap although the ones we tried didn't have the chinstrap and lanyard, the one's in the concept art/video are Samsung's goggle style ones, probably because they look better in the art that way. And since I'm sure people will ask this question next:
  20. ^Using the Samsung Gear VR, I have a picture of it here from Everland (also owned by Samsung)
  21. ^ Yep and not only that, on top of the multiple choices you have to make with more than 1 attraction on each ticket, but it's been split 3 ways so only the first pass will include Space Fantasy the virtual reality version, the second only includes Flying Dinosaur and the 3rd is only for Backdrop. And the Harry Potter Junior coaster isn't part of the choices it's one of the stand alone of the 7 so even if you weren't interested in a kiddie coaster you can't swap that one. The 3 choices are now listed on the English site: http://www.usj.co.jp/e/ticket/ The only other option would be to buy the backdrop 7 and then buy the must-see pass (15th special) on top of that to get the other two but it's really pricey, by that point you could be ending up paying almost double the entry cost just on fast-passes depending on the day. Edit: Here's something interesting I just noticed Back to the Future has been completely removed from all the fast passes.
  22. Pandas arrive in South Korea Source Image source and more pictures
