  1. I'm trying really hard not to clutter this thread but I thought this one should really be posted for future visitors: Everland very recently got an online ticket site for foreigners, the main difference between buying here and not at the park is you get a free queue pass letting you skip the line for T Express or Lost Valley. Lost Valley has the biggest wait times of the park so you could always single rider T Express and use it for Lost Valley. The average wait time for T Express seems a little high on that website if i'm being honest, I haven't seen a line over an hour on weekends for T Express for a long time ever since they finally stopped splitting the rides in each area in half a year or 2 ago (so only 1 would run in morning then the other afternoon etc.) and more rides became available that way. The other advantage is it gains you automatic entrance to the water park if you have a combo ticket or water park ticket. That sounds silly but from previous experience, the water park can hit capacity quite often in the summer and you have to wait it out in Everland until you can go in letting your more expensive water park ticket waste away (especially since most summers they run a promotion where your water park ticket will let you into Everland free anyway when you're done to help try and get people to spend money in the other park when the sun goes down) http://eticket.placem.co.kr/order/index/en Edit: Playing around with the site there are actually two more q pass options: Safari World and Amazon Express, although tickets are full price. I've seen other online sites with discounted tickets linked on the Everland website but some of them charge quite a lot for q passes $20 for just 1 ride!
  2. Wow, really??? You did this??? What an a$$hole. The verification process is that they are actually putting some trust in people not to crash the morning EMH sessions. It's people like you that will make it so they have to put more rules and restrictions into place at the parks. Oh, and you're banned from our forum. This happens WAYYYY more than youd think. Having used to be a CM at the gates we experienced this quite often, and would usually just let the party inside instead or creating a scene and arguing. Never really saw it as a big deal. Seems a bit unfair on the people who have probably spent years saving for that once in a lifetime trip in a Disney hotel including the perks of early entry especially by rewarding people who are intentionally breaking the rules. My wife and I always talk about doing Florida but we don't think we could afford Disney hotels for our family and that puts us off a little since we feel with the only 2 weeks we get off being the busiest in the calendar year, so on top of huge queues, prices will be highest for hotels and airplane etc... fastpass+ and early reservation (for example be our guest) is something we would definitely need. If we ever do reach that point where we could do a Disney hotel for those perks and i'm talking 10 years of putting every little bit away it'd be really, really disheartening to see anyone walking in after all that saving "to avoid a scene." I mean, I know there will always be people who break the rules intentionally and be horrible if you call them out on it (look at my last Everland TR) but it seems a big difference between people cutting in line and smoking anywhere compared to going into what is essentially almost a private event. You wouldn't be allowed in the fast pass line without a ticket and I doubt a group would be allowed on if they used the single rider line even if you caused a scene in public so I'm not sure why this is different. Sorry, didn't mean to turn it into such a lengthy rant.
  3. I think I've spent too long doing Asian trips in Korea and Japan when I look at those lines and think 'yea, those lines don't sound too bad.' I really was expecting worse for things like Soarin' and 7DMT even on weekdays.
  4. I like how the game doesn't punish you for thinking outside the box, when I quickly made a bridge using the jetty and driftwood I was happily surprised to see the game let the guests walk on it even though the scenery was higher than the path, too many games which would have a clearance issue. And yes my invert car was too long, I forgot to change the number when I built it However I wish the same could be said for the coasters, I know it's early so hopefully in a future update but it still seems kind of restrictive even after 2.3. I get they want realism but if like the video above you can use sideways door and ride signs for roofs, a bit more freedom for the coasters would be appreciated. I just wonder why instead of having 1 wing coaster where you could select chain lift or launch they felt the need to now have 2 separate wing coaster selections. For the intamin launcher would be nice if we could make it go vertical or invert, or even just a chain lift to make a little junior coaster. Also find it interesting what slows down my computer, I tried to fill a hole with about 40 smoke vfx to hide a tentacle and the game hit huge lag on the POV but rendering almost 100 rocks and about 20 lights in each tunnel was no problem at all.
  5. I know this whole Europe trip has probably made you super tired of people asking you to compare coasters but I've got to ask after you said one of the best in your review video... is this now your favorite RMC or is it still to close to call compared to Outlaw Run, Medusa etc?
  6. Those photos are incredibly shot, thanks for showing them off.
  7. I think here and Phantasialand are 2 of the highest parks on my bucket-list to go do even maybe edging out a Florida trip by a margin. For us, now our son was just born, it probably would be once in a lifetime for Florida (as in 10 year saving plan) and the downside of being a teacher in Asia is the only time off falls in the avoid like the plague weeks for theme parks (1 week end of July and another Christmas & New year week). Plus, airplane tickets go sky-high since nearly the whole country has that time for vacation and on our budget it would be a v cheap hotel so fast pass + might work against us. That's not a dig at Disney since that's our own personal situation but what I mean is if Europa Park ever installed this it would leap over all the other parks on my list by a considerably huge margin as the place to save for.
  8. This looks incredible, sorry if this comes across as strange but it almost seems like a modern-take on the classic Fantasyland rides such as snow white, peter pan, pinocchio etc, jumping scene to scene with animatronics, all the characters and locations etc and that is definitely not a bad thing. It works great using what was left from Maelstrom but with it's popularity I feel like this would go great in any other park, maybe even with just a track and sled themed cars if they wanted to duplicate this ride and it would fit in nicely in most Fantasylands.
  9. I don't get why a park wouldn't have their express pass shops open, especially one that offers them online in advance. Surely even when it's quiet the option should be there since I bet there are people willing to spend their money regardless. Most parks I've visited when it would be fairly quiet and I've looked into buying one the staff have told me I may not need it if I wanted to save money and advised me on expected wait-times but still allowed me the option of buying one.
  10. ^ There used to be one of those in Wicksteed Park, not far from my Dad's house and it alone was worth the price of a wristband, too bad it's gone now.
  11. I can't work out which one I am enjoying more: these awesome TR's or the super-fans reactions to Robb's opinions.
  12. Wasn't expecting this one: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-36572649 R.I.P. Anton Yelchin
  13. This guy appears viral every now and again on Korean social media, couldn't find the original video:
  14. Figured this was best here with the other news clippings, more bad news for Lotte Worlds main company, especially Lotte Tower (aka Lotte World 2) Source
  15. It amazes me how quickly you can make something half decent in this. I haven't really had a chance to play it since I bought it due to my son being born.I wanted to have a quick play around so when I had 30 minutes spare so really quickly threw this together and then had a very quick play around to just check out placing scenery, terrain tools, vfx and lighting (just one quick spotlight on the other side of the ship and some small smoke machines on a tunnel to see how it worked.) The only place I got stuck was trying for a dive loop, it just kept coming out completely inverted and I didn't have time to figure it out. Gotta agree with the people asking for pre-themed rides, really wanted to quickly put down a uni-coaster and try and barrel-theme it but there was no getting around the floaty brain.
  16. That's true, I'm kind of a wait until it's died down kind of person for trips rather than being first so i'll probably wait a year or 2. I still haven't ridden Harry Potter because I'm more interested in Flying Dinosaur and want to wait. Even with my local park, I remember Lost Valley had 4-5 hour lines when it opened and still gets dashes in the morning. On all my trips I didn't ride it until a year and a half after opening when it had a 20 minute wait around lunch.
  17. I feel like entitlement in general is a big issue. The amount of times I see both from students (whose parents complain when teachers tell them off for breaking rules) or people in the apartment blocks or on the road who seem to think the rules are for everyone but them has increased so much recently compared to just a few years ago. It went from every few days or so 6 years ago to every day to now when I literally see about 8 things that make me shake my head in despair and just hate the world in just 1 trip to the local supermarket and back.
  18. If i'm being honest, outside of Soarin, I was expecting lines for this park to be much worse than 75-120 minutes for bigger attractions even in the morning on a opening weekend (or so close to opening).I think based on some of the mad dashes at opening I've had on Japan trips I was expecting to see around 3-3.5 hours for things like Tron and Snow White etc.
  19. What's a blitz coaster? A Blitz coaster is manufactured by Intamin. They are usually a somewhat compact coaster that have an LSM launch to propel the train. Here's a list of Intamin Blitz coasters here. Pretty sure he's joking. Either that or AJ resets every so often
  20. I get the impression that TPR has never really cared about being first and more about the quality of the videos they shoot. I think they'd rather have a nice steady video without the shaking than having a member rush out with a hand mounted one to be first.
  21. ^I've done one midnight showing in my life and that was Simpsons Movie because.... we were in the area and thought it'd be interesting. It came out one daily earlier than the USA and there were seriously die-hard American fans who were posing with tickets and ringing up friends. They were dissecting whether it would match "old-school" Simpsons level of funny and discussing favorite seasons and episodes, what they'd heard in interviews, who they thought the secret celebrity voice was etc. Back then there was no option for reserved seating at all and we were there 25 mins before opening behind them. With all their discussions I felt like i'd seen the movie before we even went in. That and then the mad scramble some of the super fans had once doors opened to get perfect seats.... Never again.
  22. ^This may be useful for you then, they will pick up near military gates in Seoul and Osan.
  23. I was quite shocked when I saw the video length, I had never seen a video of Aladdin and I only looked it up yesterday after being curious once I saw the length of Frozen.I guess off of my previous experiences in Tokyo and HK I was just expecting the shows to have been something shorter like the length of Lion King at HKDL (so around 30 mins)
  24. I heard with alpha 2 it's a bit more optimized, I bit the bullet and just hope it holds up.
