  1. ^ Sorry Mark, it's just Elissa being sarcastic towards someone asking a very, VERY stupid question! --Robb
  2. ^ And short version of the story (if you don't want to search) Jahan: "I'm just not into theme parks any more." End of story. Let people have their own lives. Move on... --Robb "I love White Castle!" Alvey

  4. ^ That is correct. It would be impossible for us to include airfare because everyone is flying in from all over the world. Each participants airfare would be a different price. The only time we include airfare is when we require a flight during a trip and everyone is going to and from the same destinations. For example, when we had our flights within China or our flight from London to Goteborg in 2006. --Robb
  5. I'm going to lock this thread because there has litterally been at least 20 threads in the past 3 months posted asking for "tips on SFMM." Do a search and I think you'll find a lot of information! --Robb
  6. I really hope they get this sorted out soon. It's just not acceptable to let rows go empty like that. As much as I know the park wants everyone to see the pre-show, they may just have to bit the bullet and let people walk past it to fill those trains. I'm sure they'll get it sorted out. Good to hear about the other minor improvements since opening. --Robb
  7. We will be hitting Alabama Adventure during the Deep South trip and the good people there have given us a nice amount of ERT. Looking forward to posting our photos and I'm sure we'll have a better visit than our last time! --Robb
  8. ^ I'm not doubting you, I just never saw those rides during those early years. I rode it over multiple visits in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003 and always thought it was terribly over-rated. It wasn't until this past year that I saw the OMFG side of Boulder Dash. --Robb
  9. 17/20 - missed the last one and two others
  10. Just in case it is only environmental audio, have you ever ridden a coaster with a similar sound system? And if so, how was the actual quality and clarity of the audio? I understand that Disney could probably do it as well or better than anyone else but I would like to get an idea of what to expect. I guess that could possibly make more sense with the tiny size of the track on this ride. Well, Evolution (Revolution) at Bobbejaanland had a pretty awesome pumping soundtrack playing in the building as the train went through the course. That was pretty freaking great! EuroMir also has an AWESOME sound track playing during the indoor section of the ride. So it's been done very successfully before and I agree, if this is the route Disney chooses to go, then I would hope they can do it even better! --Robb
  11. ^ I haven't heard them calling this "On Board Audio" at all. It could very well be enviornmental audio around the track. --Robb
  12. You did know you can click on the pictures, right?
  13. This is really a huge problem that I hope gets fixed. I'm all for the pre-show being awesome and everything, and I'm sure people do not mind watching the pre-show as "something to do while they wait in line" but if a pre-show a keeping them from riding the coaster and they have to wait in line a second longer due to watching the pre-show, that is unaccetpable. On a positive note, when I was there on Saturday the crew was dispatching a train as soon as one his the brakes, which is awesome, but I too did notice a few empty rows during my visit. --Robb
  14. OK, that line is awesome. I would very much like to end this thread with this!
  15. In fact, I'm just going to lock this thread. Seriously. This has been argued to *DEATH* TPR has plenty of other threads that are far more productive than this one that people could be posting in. FIND THEM!!! --Robb "Lockers" Alvey ps. If you take issue with me locking the thread, you can discus it with me privately. Email me - robbalvey@aol.com
  16. You all are also forgetting one HUGE factor in this stupid, pointless argument that I really wish would just go away and it most likely will when I eventually lock this pointless, stupid argument... Those lockers aren't owned by the park, they are owned by Smartcarte. And while I'm sure Six Flags gets a cut, I would put at least a dollar on it that Smartcarte gets the bulk of the cash. --Robb
  17. I recorded and processed all the VO for the game, so I guess I can say "thank you!" --Robb
  18. ^ Same! --Robb "Police Academy 2 is still one of my favorite movies!" Alvey
  19. The game will be in Majesco's booth, yes. --Robb
  20. ^ No offense, but have you skimmed through the last 20 or 30 pages of this thread? I think plenty of people have already posted exactly what you are asking for. Many people have even posted a rating on a scale of 1 to 10. --Robb
  21. I'll post some photos I took today a little later. It seems like the line between 11:30 - 12:30 today was about an hour to an hour and a half. The crew was CRANKING trains out! I was only taking pictures (not riding) but it seemed like one the train hit the brake run, another train went out. I saw them do this about 20 times in a row! GO TERMINATOR CREW!!! WAY TO TAKE THAT TUNNEL!!!! --Robb
  22. Yay! Now more people can see what I do at my "day job." --Robb
  23. Well, it kind of depends. Are you talking about in line to get tickets or in line to get into the park? The gray area here is that at each ride there is a "no line jumping" sign posted stating the policy, but there isn't at the front gate of the park. And if you're standing in front of me waiting for the park to open and someone else joins you technically I don't know if you'll end up going to the same place I am, where as in a line for a ride, we're all going to the exact same place. I would find it more obnoxious if left say one person was waiting for the park to open and suddently a group of 20 people got in front of me. Park opening is a big gray area really. Usually there is a giant massive crowd with little to no organization anyway. If there were defined single file lines with a sign that stated the "line jumping policy" then I'd day that would be rude, but if not, then there really isn't anything that can be said. That's kind of my take on.... --Robb
  24. ^ It's not really that big of a deal. I mean, Screamscape pretty much is just a collection of links pertaining to theme park news and it's constantly updated. And this is nothing new, TPR has been sending our updates to Screamscape as long as both TPR and Screamscape have been around! --Robb
