  1. ^ In that case you might want to look into a mini-trip to the Hershey/Sesame/Knoebel's area. If memory serves correct I believe they had quite a few rides for that height but I'd check the websites to be sure. --Robb
  2. ^ I totally forgot about Sesame. It's a great little park! Not too much for the little one to do at Dorney, however if you like water parks they have a nice one and the 2 year old might enjoy a few laps in the lazy river? How "two year old" is the 2 year old? (Closer to 3 or 2?) -_Robb
  3. Knoebel's? When Kristen was 2 we visited there and she loved the train, carousel, whip, antique cars, motor boats, kiddie area, and more. There was actually quite a bit that a 2 year old could ride there. And plenty for the bigger kids. And then Hersheypark isn't too far off from Knoebel's and while there isn't as much there for a 2 year old they do have the two dark rides (Chocolate World and amazingly bad, but must be ridden Xtreme Cup Challenge). They do have quite a few other kiddie rides and family attractions like the tower. Not sure how early in the spring they open, it's either April or early May. Check their schedules. Just if you're looking foran option a bit more "amusement park-ish" and less "theme park." --Robb
  4. Oh, man, I'm not sure what I'm looking foward to more... Hoodie 3 or Redneck Batman!!!
  5. ^ They all start off exactly the same since they are all clones of each other. Intimadator305 does look fantastic, but IMO it doesn't look anything like an Mega-Lite. Having been on all 4 Mega-Lite's in the world now and then watching the POV animation of 305 I don't get the feeling they are anything alike. Sure, they may share some similar elements or moments, but so does Millennium Force, Goliath, Expedition GeForce, and Superman: ROS. If anything 305 looks a lot more to me like Millennium Force than it does a Mega-Lite. --Robb
  6. ^ It is more practical.
  7. ^ I traded it in for one of these: You know so we can pick up the rest of the clique and all hang out together... Pretty sweet, huh?
  8. Nice report! For being kind of an out of the way smaller park they actually look like they have some decent rides there! --Robb
  9. ^ Dumbass it probably has your old location in Los Angeles! Guy = DUH!!!!
  10. Why would you want to do anything to the #6 wooden coaster in the world??? Leave that fine piece of worksmanship alone!
  11. ^ I would have assumed that was the case. I was under the impression that a GCI Millennium Flyer train wouldn't work on any other woodies other than a GCI. --Robb
  12. Heh, I'm actually surprised it was ONLY 150 minutes! Did you see that video PianoJohn posted from Epcot during this past week? Test Track was 130 minutes and Soarin' was 160! And those are for rides that are YEARS old now!!! --Robb
  13. Mammut was not very exciting, no. I was hoping it would be more like an "Intamin twister" but it was very tame. I'm sure it's done well for the park but seeing as how it debuted at #68 really says something. But I thought the trains were great! --Robb
  14. ^ Shhh! I'm supposed to answer these questions! But yeah...what he said.
  15. I will say though that as much as I really hated some of the earlier Gerstlauer trains on the CCI woodies, the newer trains they've produced, like the ones on Falken and Mammut seemed to work much, much better. --Robb
  16. Let me also recommend a fantastic lens for you that works great on rides - VCL-0630X It's just wide enough to help stabilize your shots, make rides look even better, and it's not too wide that it's distorted. Again, all our off ride shots usually have this lens attached. --Robb
  17. ^ We would have to decide how it will affect 2010 trips. We might have to just say that 2010 trips will not be affected as 2011 trip signups would happen within the first year of Club TPR being introduced. But that being said, there is no decision one way or the other, and thank you for bringing that up! --Robb
  18. Ahh...I had not heard that. Very interesting!
  19. Read the update we just posted and combine that with the list on the front page. Where's your forty bucks???
  20. ^ Speculation, yes, but nothing concrete at all. One would assume it would end up at one of the companies other properties and that really only leaves two options if you assume that Dollywood wouldn't get it since they already have Thunderhead. --Robb
  21. Don't worry! We rarely serve gravy at any of our events! Seriously though, the fact that this thread exists I think is already a step in the direction to show people that the way we do things is different. At least I hope everyone can see that. --Robb
  22. ^ I hope that helped answer the question. I know it's a big issue for people and that's exactly why we won't let it turn into an issue. --Robb ps. yes, I know...I caught the tone and the simley!
