  1. ^ Hmm...that's very strange. Is anyone else having this problem? If you turn off email notification, you're not supposed to get any emails regarding posts. --Robb
  2. I actually voted for Great White. For some reason, out of all the Batman clones, that one seems to look the 'sharpest.' Not sure why, since it feels exactly like all the other ones, but I think the color scheme and the location in the park is really nice. The theming to the trains to make them look like sharks was kind of a nice touch too. IMO, the best "Batman" is probably the one at SFGam. I really like the small 'pond' and green area it flies over: --Robb
  3. I think my list goes something like this: 1. Dueling Dragons 2. Nemesis 3. Batman clones 4. Montu 5. Pyrenees 6. Volcano 7. Top Gun PGA 8. Top Gun Carowinds 9. Raptor 10. V2 Clones/Wicked Twister/Linear Gale 11. Great Bear 12. Silver Bullet 13. Alpengiest 14. Talon 15. Vekoma SLC's --Robb
  4. Awesome Photo TR! Keep them coming! Nice to see some WDW stuff that most people never see. I for one have never seen that "tiki" boat game place in your photos. --Robb "Loves seeing all the photos!" Alvey
  5. ^ You just made the list, pal. --Robb "Typos here adn there are acceptable, incoherent posts are not." Alvey
  6. Hmmm...I'm not seeing anything about this on IGN or Gamespot and no one here has heard anything about this.... --Robb "You'd think if we suddently had to stop making games for the Dual Shock, someone would tell us!" Alvey
  7. Yeah, I really don't seem the need for 'moderating' unless things get REALLY out of hand. IMO, moderators main job is just making sure the board is legible. Editing posts, slapping people for bad spelling and grammar, making sure stuff posted isn't TOO offensive, the board isn't getting spammed, and making sure that flame wars don't get out of control. I have deleted VERY few posts and topics, and I intend to keep it that way. --Robb
  8. ^ LOL! Yes! --Robb "And yes, we did know it was....it just made for a funny caption!" Alvey
  9. Hey everyone! This past weekend was spent with Elissa's family in Las Vegas and Zion National Park. Now, the photo update might not include a lot of roller coasters, but damn, Vegas really is just like one huge theme park! And even our day in Zion produces some photos that allowed us to have a lot of laughs! To top it all off....we're all just completely insane! You can see from the photos. So click here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/vegas05/vegas1.htm And you'll get to see all kinds of cool stuff like: - Strippers right to your door! - Togo Death Machines! - Zion Park Shuttle Loop! - The incredible edible dildo!!!! Enjoy the new update! --Robb
  10. Ok, I've turned this into a poll. I think I've managed to get just about every invert option in there. The only one that I didn't include was SFMW's V2. Then again, I just can't imagine someone voting for that one over all the others, unless of course that is the ONLY invert someone has been on. --Robb
  11. Nemmy...did you get your XBOX modded? It's awesome isn't it? I also have StepmaniaX with about 1,000 songs on it! Have you had any problems with it crashing because of too many songs? --Robb
  12. Easy...here's what you do: 2 days at Disneyland Resort 1 day at Knotts 1 day at SFMM 1 day doing something else (Universal, Legoland, or Sea World) If you were bored at Magic Kingdom in Disney World, IMO, Disneyland isn't any better. The rides are pretty much the same, and other than having one extra 'mountain' and Indy, if you aren't into WDW's Magic Kingdom, you probably won't be that into Disneyland either. We're kind of the same way. We don't spend much time at Magic Kingdon at WDW, hence we don't spend that much time at Disneyland either. Our typical DL visit is to do a lap on the mountain rides and Indy maybe a dark ride and then head over to DCA where we spend most of our time. Two days should be enough, IMO. But it depends on how much you want to re-ride stuff. If you ARE into the dark rides like Pirates, Mansion, Small World, and the Fantasyland dark rides, you may need some more time, but if you're not, then two days should be enough. The other thought would be that Knott's would not be a full day park, and you could probably get in another 1/2 day at Disneyland Resort after Knott's. As for what to do on your free day, IMO it could be a toss up between Universal and Legoland. I'm starting to like Universal more and more, but if you've been to Orlando, don't bother. Go to Legoland instead because that is a really fun park! Anyone else want to add their thoughts? --Robb
  13. ^ Are you talking about the one that's at PGA? OMG that one was AWESOME!!!! I *flew* so far on that! I'm hoping we do make it to Denver over Labor Day weekend this year. --Robb
  14. Personally, I don't think it's getting that much hype from the community because no one really seems to be all that into TTD in the first place. I'm sure the GP will EAT IT UP....but it just doesn't seem like something a lot of us are into. Just think - how many 'one trick ponies' out there have the enthusaist community really embraced? S:TE, Oblivion, TTD, etc. They all might be good rides, but you don't see many people going out of their way to ride them. That being said, ALL of those rides are popular with the GP, and remember, parks don't really make rides for us, they make rides for the other 29,995 people that show up to parks every during the busy summer weekends. --Robb
  15. Sitting in the Monte Carlo hotel in Vegas about to head down and play some slots! --Robb
  16. Just to make sure, go to Profile -> Profile -> Profile Settings -> Notification just to make sure its still set to "no." If it is and you're still getting these emails, let me know. --Robb
  17. Hi there Bobby, Welcome to the boards! I hope you have a good time here. Please do make sure your posts are easy to read, for example, capitalizing the first letter in your sentances, the letter I, and stuff like that. --Robb

    VHS

^ Sorry, but starting this year we decided to go DVD only. It's actually gotten to the point where VHS tapes are more expensive and more time consuming to make. I can now make about 10 DVDs in the same time it takes me to make 1 VHS tape. And with DVD players coming down in price, you can get a prefectly GREAT DVD player for about $40. This is the one I highly reccomend: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?j=1&id=1069297420815&skuId=6100961&type=product --Robb
  22. At one point I had tested several different codecs. What I found was, in order for your videos to get the most exposure, you needed to choose a codec that could work in virtually every machine configuration. I found that the lowest common denominator was your stadard "MPEG-1" format that plays in evey version of Windows Media Player. While it might not be as high of quality as some other codecs out there, I rarely get emails saying someone couldn't play our videos. And that's really our goal. We want EVERYONE who clicks on our videos to be able to view them with the least amount of hassle as possible. As soon as you get that message of 'codec not installed' from Windows Media Player and you have go searching the internet to find one, most people just give up. I got a copy of a program that as far as I know is called "Panasonic MPEG encoder" and it's a plug-in for Adobe Premiere. I know that several film studios use (or at least used) this program to compress some downloadable trailers, and that's what we use to and I will continue to use it until something just as good and low hassle comes along. --Robb
  23. Ok, I'm closing this thread because....well....it's pointless.... --Robb "We HAVE to be able to come up with better coaster related subjects, can't we???" Alvey
  24. If I choose to use Google AdWords to get the word out about my site that's my prerogative thank you very much. It's something I've never done, and only just started testing it to see if it could help promote the site to help pay for the cost of running the site. There are other, more annoying ways I could be doing this, for example, pop-ups. Do you see any ads or annoying pop-ups on this site like you do on so many others? No. And you never will. --Robb "Thread closed because it's really not something I wish to discuss any futher." Alvey
