  1. Send me your friend code! Mine is: 4909-7993-1477
  2. I have to be honest, this park never appealed to us and it was never even close to being on our radar to visit.
  3. So for a bit of good news, Legoland Japan announced today that they would re-open on Monday March 23 after being closed since February 28th. Here's a little video of their Dragon roller coaster & Minland. Is this the first full "theme park" to re-open so far?
  4. I've been led to believe the Yeti fix is a "months" project, not weeks and, since it would likely involve a contractor, it's not an on-the-fly, do-it-just-because-we're closed kind of job like disinfecting the trains or pressure washing a sidewalk. I really wish people would stop complaining about the Yeti. It's just so dumb that people think this is a top priority of things that need to be fixed. 99.9% of the people who ride Everest don't even realize that it is "broken" because you fly by it so fast and many people actually miss it completely even when it was working! That is why it was never fixed. If it was like the Lava Monsters or the bears on Big Grizzly where it is a show scene where you pause and watch something, THEN it would be fixed. But as it is right now, IMO, it works just fine. If anything, the design flaw here was that the animatronic yeti should have been where the animated projection is of the yeti pulling up the track. THEN it would have been deemed an important show scene and need fixing. Sorry, the whole "fix the yeti" thing has always been a pet peeve of mine.
  5. Emperor is testing!!! [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew]
  6. Today we are not only celebrating TEN YEARS on YouTube but we also may or may not have announced our retirement from Theme Park Review! WATCH THE ENTIRE VIDEO!!!
  7. Yeah, like Elissa said, that's not what we saw at all. I wish we could have posted our video from the ride, but...maybe at some point down the road we will be able to....
  8. So we attended the Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway media event the other day. We were allowed to film 3 different complete onride videos, but our PR reps have asked us not to post any full onride videos from the media event. I'm not exactly sure why this request was made, and even though many other people at the event disrespected those requests and have posted their full videos anyway, out of respect for our hosts who invited us to this special event, I will hold posting a full POV until we go ride it on our own during regular operating hours. But for now, here is the provided B-Roll that Disney gave us, along with the edited rider cam that we are allowed to post... [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew] Anyway, the ride is honestly GREAT! For people that say it's all "Screens" there actually aren't any screens at all. (Well, there is one screen based media on the back of the train engine with Goofy) but the rest of the ride is all physical props and sets with things being projected on them. There are quite a few practical effects in the ride and animatronics as well. There is even one scene that completely changes before your eyes including many of the actual physical set pieces transforming. I'm not going to give too much more away about the ride. Although I will say that I think it's kind of funny (and also cool) that while we have been waiting 19 years for a "Pooh's Hunny Hunt" style trackless dark ride to come to Walt Disney World, we now have TWO within three months of each other opening, and they are almost right next to each other! I'm also one of those people who A. Really likes the new style of these Mickey cartoons, so this art style is 100% *AWESOME* for me, and B. Never really thought Great Movie Ride was all that spectacular. I always felt that GMR seemed more like a "Universal" ride than a "Disney" attraction and I was honestly very happy to see it go. Get out and ride Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway! It's honestly a lot of fun!
  9. Take a ride on Texas Stingray with Albert & April from TPR!
  10. Which of these coasters will you miss the most?
  11. Hello everyone! As some of you may know, TPR has been doing more "private" theme park tours over the past few years, however we do still allow new people to join in on the fun! This year we have two international theme park trips we are doing and we have a handful of spaces on each if you are interested. Unfortunately, we cannot take everyone so we have made this easy application process for people who are interested, and then you will be contacted later if you have been accepted on the trip. **IMPORTANT** Only fill out the application if you are SERIOUSLY INTERESTED in one of our trips this year and would be ready to send in a deposit if you are accepted. 12. 100% agreed. I was close to hitting the "ban button" on a couple of people who were getting a bit too emotional, but I'll wait and see if they can chill a bit and start acting a bit more "normal." (looking at you Lemur...)
  13. We got a behind the scenes construction tour today....
  14. Here's the official Texas Stingray POV!
  15. Here's the front seat POV of West Coast Racers and our POV ridercam from the media event today!
  16. The polar opposite of every single visit we've had to both of these parks over the past 16 years, but hey, parks are allowed to have their best days and their worst days. So maybe you just got lucky and experienced both of these in the opposite form of what we are used to. I still stand by Fuji-Q having the worst most ridiculous policies like that time they made me taking something off my wrist, put it in a locker, and then handed me a key to the locker to put around my wrist.
  17. We rode this VERY PINK roller coaster in Poland! VIDEO:
  18. Because then it would require multiple stations and it would be classified as a "transportation" system not an "attraction" and would need to be regulated by the Japanese Government requiring having to pay extra for the train and for it to fall under the guidelines of all the other Japanese rail services and systems. This is why the Disney Monorail is an additional charge and it also appears on the Japan Rail map. There are very strict rules put in place for having a train in Japan. This is why the railroad at Tokyo Disneyland is basically a "ride" with only one starting and stopping point so that it doesn't get classified as "transportation" which would have opened up a whole other can of worms for the park.
  19. Rude much? Are you trying to be banned from the forum? Or are you just that stupid? Don’t be an asshole to our moderators because you are too stupid to use basic functions of the forum to fix your dumb mistakes. Was I rude enough for you? Not trying to be banned. As you can see I don’t post very much on here and didn’t realize all the functionality. Stupid? No. Asshole? No. Ban away. I understand why so many people dislike you and the website. I enjoyed seeing the trip reports from folks but there are better places online. To answer your question yes rude enough. Later! Banned. It's not MY FAULT you're being ignorant and an asshole and are too stupid to know what the EDIT button does. But if you want to blame me for your shortcomings, go for it. Not like I actually give a shit anyway.
  20. Rise of the Resistance has TWO DIFFERENT SIDES! Watch our onride POV video that features BOTH RIDE PATHS!!!
  21. Rude much? Are you trying to be banned from the forum? Or are you just that stupid? Don’t be an asshole to our moderators because you are too stupid to use basic functions of the forum to fix your dumb mistakes. Was I rude enough for you?
  22. For someone who has talked a lot of shit on Robb and TPR on his Twitter page, coming here with your name and location, and some of your recent posts...yeah I give you a week. Oh hi.... bye!!!
