  1. So yeah, that's one of the learning curves that will be different. This forum has a "multi-quote" function, which basically means if you want to quote more than one post, you click the little + at the bottom of each post: And then when you have selected all the posts you want to add to your quote, you click the "Quote # posts..." button that appears on the bottom of the screen: The main reason for this method is so you don't get posts that have quoted 20 people and wind up with some GIANT thread with tons of previous posts. So now you're only quoting exactly what you want to comment on. Hope that helps!
  2. Oh, I did forget to mention... one thing that did not make the cut are avatars. You may find your avatar missing or outdated. Please just upload a new one if yours is missing. Thank you! (oh yeah, you can now add gifs to your posts right from the posting toolbar!)

  5. Would you believe it? After 15 years of the TPR forum being online, we finally updated it!!! We hope many of you will love the more streamlined look, improved functionality, and new features. And I'm sure some of you will hate, because... "change" but, hey... that's okay, too! This is also the thread to use to report things not working or not working correctly. With 15 years worth of content, it is impossible to check and test every little corner of the forum, so if you find something that doesn't seem right, please report it here. So why did we make the change? Mostly due to the fact that the old forum we were using was pretty outdated, and even though there were some updates available for that software, it really is more of a "free" open source base of code, and we wanted to switch to something a bit more "professional" with a proper support staff. It's a change we've wanted to do for a while, but never really found a good timing for it. So here are some of the new features to check out... Much better Mobile View! With about 85% of our traffic now coming from mobile devices, we needed a forum that would look and feel better on your phone. Easier to add photos! Either from your phone or from your desktop, you can now quickly upload photos to a post! Much like you would on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter! You can even drag a photo from your desktop right into the place you want it to appear in your post! That's what I did here... "LIKE" a post! This is a feature long overdue and something people have been asking us to add for years! Now it's easy to "LIKE" and react to a post! But please do not let that stop you from also adding your own reply! Replies are what helps keeps the forum alive! Import VIDEO into a post! Yes! You can now add video clips to your trip reports! However, while you can now import video, we do ask that you keep it to shorter clips, no more than 5 minutes. Please don't post full length movies! Embed YouTube videos instead! lava monster.mp4 Overall, this updated forum will add a lot of new functionality, ease of use, and better browsing. We hope you all like it, and please let us know if you find anything that doesn't work right! I will continue to update this thread with new features we highlight! This would be a great time for you to click that "follow" button on the top of the page so you can get notifications for when we update this post! Thanks again for your support!!!

  7. So apparently the name is no longer on the website??? I took a screen shot of it earlier.
  8. Well, we have a name for the new Universal Orlando coaster! "Jurassic World VelociCoaster" From the Universal Orlando website: https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/theme-parks/islands-of-adventure/jurassic
  9. The same one that's closed for Spring, Summer and Fall events. (It's a joke... though it WILL totally be closed) I see. That's an assumption. LR could be back up by mid Nov. For a ride that's "always" closed I've ridden it a lot. So many I've lost count. FFS IT WAS A JOKE!!! That being said, I've been to the park three times since the ride has been open and I've gotten on it once. So... The other thing that is quite moronic about your post is that you live somewhat close to the park and probably have more of an opportunity to change plans based on what rides may or may not be operating. When you live a plane ride away and you have to make plans months in advance, you don't have that luxury. So that being said, YES, the ride has been down quite a bit and so many other people have missed out. Next time, before you go making such an ignorant statement, maybe you should try telling the entire story.
  10. Can you please send me a screen shot of the pop-up message? You should not be getting that any longer and i'm trying to figure out why you're still getting it.

  13. Yeah, I'm always appreciative of the free stuff parks give us, but if you're going to give us a bag, and you know you have a locker policy on each one of your rides that you know we are going to have to PAY to put the stuff in when we have a limited amount of time to film before the park opens, why not give us the bags AFTER we having done our filming sessions? Not to mention that each one of the rides we filmed on had an area to place bags on the ride platform! And I get having to use the lockers during the normal operating day, but when we're a small group and we are there with a purpose, how about just letting us use those bins to store our crap for 15 minutes? But I got the feeling they wanted that extra 20 Euros per ride from our group! And it's not even the extra cost I'm worried about, it was the TIME it took for everyone to have to go to the kiosk, get the locker, put the stuff away, come back to the locker, get the stuff, go to the next ride, etc, etc... This EXACTLY was an example of how the rest of the day would go. The same kind of nonsensical pointless policies followed us throughout the entire day.
  14. It is very rare that I will walk away from a park thinking "I hate this park" but I hate this park! Outside of our filming session I think I only rode one, MAYBE two other coasters. At this point in my theme park traveling life, my patience is very thin for parks that have horrible operations and I just couldn't be bothered with some of their ridiculous policies to get on such mediocre rides. And these were even rides we were allowed to film on! I even tried to give Hyperion another chance. I went back and rode it two more times which took me over an hour even though there was only a handful of riders in front of me on both times. Got stuck in one of those horrible shaky outside seats both rides and was given an instant headache that only worsened with each ride. I really wanted to like this coaster, but it goes on my list of as one of the worst "new" coasters I've ever been on. I'm willing to give this park another chance at some point. Perhaps it's one of those places you can have a good time when it's not that crowded, however it actually wasn't even that crowded when we were there, but their horrible operations made it feel that way. So I'm not even sure...
  15. UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT’S ALL-NEW STUNT SHOW – THE BOURNE STUNTACULAR – WILL GRAND OPEN ON JUNE 30, 2020 ORLANDO, Fla. (June 27, 2020) – The Bourne Stuntacular, based on Universal Pictures’ blockbuster Bourne film franchise, will grand open on June 30, 2020 at Universal Studios Florida as the most technologically-advanced stunt show yet. The all-new show will fully immerse guests in the world of Jason Bourne through groundbreaking technology, including an immense LED screen and high-tech props, to incredible live performers executing extreme stunts at heights up to 22 feet, and practical effects that will have guests feeling gusts of wind and the heat of explosive flames. To celebrate the opening of The Bourne Stuntacular, Universal Orlando will debut a virtual sneak peek of the show on June 29. The sneak peek will feature special guests from the Bourne film franchise, a behind-the-scenes look at what it took to bring the show to life, as well as a preview of the action-packed stunt show itself. Guests can tune into the Universal Orlando YouTube Channel at 7:00 p.m. EST to get a first look at The Bourne Stuntacular and follow along on Universal Orlando’s Twitter and Instagram for exclusive highlights. Guests should download the Universal Orlando App to view The Bourne Stuntacular show times. Across the destination, the health and safety of our guests and team members continues to be our top priority. To ensure proper social distancing, we have implemented new procedures in our indoor theaters, including appropriate spacing between travel parties and providing assistance to our guests with seating and exiting the theater to avoid congestion. These procedures mean that our show capacity will be limited and wait times may be longer than usual to experience the show. We have also increased our already-aggressive cleaning procedures and will continue to sanitize high-touch surfaces between each show. All guests are also required to wear a face covering while experiencing The Bourne Stuntacular.
  16. You don't go into a car dealer and get a BMW for the same price as a Toyota because they just sold out of that Toyota you wanted. That's not how it works. It would be one thing if the difference between Pop Century and a DVC was like fifty bucks, but we are talking a few hundred dollars a night here.
  17. This is a photo from 2002 at Holiday World during their "Stark Raven Mad" event. The event was an after-hours coaster enthusiast event similar to their current Holiwood Nights. One of the features of the event is that they would allow lap bars to only be "one click" so that roller coasters enthusiasts could get as much airtime as possible. Also note that the coaster does have seat belts and those were required to be worn during this event. For obvious reasons, the park does not allow this anymore. That being said, I am going to lock this thread as there is no reason to bring up something that was done at a park nearly 20 years ago as though it is still being done today. So please let anyone who is passing around this photo know that this was taken during a different time and is not representative of anything a park would currently allow.
  18. I would most certainly hope they are being charged full price. I'd be pretty pissed off to know that we paid full price for our DVC Deluxe Resort room only to find out that someone who booked a room at a value like Pop Century got to stay at our resort at their value rate. I highly doubt Disney is actually doing this.
  19. FEC's like Boomers change hands all the time. Wouldn't be surprised if someone picks them up. I mean, that Boomers (Bullwinkle's) in Fountain Valley has had how many different owners over the years?
  20. Yep. Universal has not allowed filming as long as HD cameras have been around! That's how long it has been! So all those POVs you see out there of all their coasters were done without permission.
  21. I think that is 100% exactly it. I will admit I do remember having a better time at Duinrell during our last visit, but then I went and looked at our photos and it wasn't much less crowded than our current visit: So is it just that our specific TPR audience is maybe a little "spoiled" and if a park doesn't have a skip the line pass or I can't get a filming session at a park next time we just won't included if the majority of the group is going to come away from it being miserable? I'm not sure the answer to that... I personally thought the park was super cute and I'm glad we went, but maybe this is one of those parks better visited by you and I during our own personal travels and not with a bigger group. Not to mention one of the only "covered splashdown boats" I've seen outside of Japan!
  22. No, sorry. As it says in the video, all the onride footage was provided by Universal. They don't allow anyone to shoot footage on their rides at all.
  23. Is that it? That's the best you've got??? 24 years of TPR content where there are plenty photos of me where you could have had me fucking a whale or at least put a huge dick in my mouth or something (not that I would have minded) and the best you've got is a "fat Hitler Walt kitten joke?" REALLY???? **sigh** You trolls are getting more and more pathetic each time. Go crawl back to your shitposting subreddit where you belong.
