  1. ^ I would have gotten that ride op's attention and made sure they were aware of the restraint issue. That IS scary! I was at the park yesterday (got there around 3:30) to catch the finale of Summer Nights. It was HOT (93 with a heat index of 104). Only coaster I rode was Montu, front row. I can only do front row on most coasters (or the first few rows) as the G forces in the back give me really bad migraines. Saw the cheesy awesome "Dance to the Music" show at Desert Grill. I just love that show as I'm a disco fan. Saw the very last performance of Kinetix. I love, love, LOVE that show! I really hope they bring it back again next summer. The music, the acrobatics... just awesome. I talked with some of the cast afterwards and they were all pretty cool. Fed the kangaroos and wallabys and went over to Edge of Africa to wish the lioness', Rose and Iris, a happy 5th birthday. The park had a little birthday celebration for them earlier in the day. The male lion, Simon, turned 5 earlier this year. Forgot to go over by Jambo Junction to see the progress on the Death Row Vengeance maze construction. I'm not a big Halloween event person, so this stuff is usually off my radar unless it's right in my face.
  2. Very nice photos! Thanks for sharing. Looks like a nice park. The name of it though makes me want to yell "De plane! De plane" or "Smiles, everyone! Smiles!"
  3. Beautiful shots! I could look at photos of Disney Sea all day (and I probably have... and more... if you added up all the time I've spent looking at photos of this amazing park since it opened nearly 10 years ago). I want to go there so bad I can almost taste it. And it probably tastes like.... sea salt ice cream!
  4. I was at the park yesterday and got a couple photos of the Death Row Vengeance maze construction.
  5. Gwazi, both sides. I like Tiger over Lion.
  6. In case you wonder what the Joyland "it's a small world" rip-off ride is like... TPR filmed it!
  7. You can hang out with me. We can can be the "Chicken Clique".
  8. My Bag-O-Crap arrived today! Thank you so much! I love it all! Woo-Hoo! Gay pride ghost Mickey & Minnie pin! Pin from Universal Japan's nighttime parade. MEAT CHICKEN!!! Pin. No idea what it's from but it's neat! Also no idea WTF this is from or what it is but... it's from Japan, which instantly makes it awesome. "I have been chosen! So long my friends, I go on to a better place!" Land Dog FTW!
  9. I'm in. A little spendy since I already have a 2 year AP to Busch Gardens, but I've been wanting to attend a TPR event for YEARS, so it'll be worth it. Not sure if I'll stay for Howl-O-Scream though. I normally don't do Halloween events because I just can't stomach the gore. But we'll see. I can't buy my ticket for a couple weeks though (90% of my paycheck this week goes to the rent and the rest goes to other bills), but I'll be able to buy mine when I get paid again in 2 weeks.
  10. I can't wait to get my Japan bag-o-crap so I can post pics!
  11. I work for a non-profit organization. Just tonight we had a fundraising event... an '80s themed scavenger hunt and pub crawl. This was the 2nd year we've held the event. It was a lot of fun. We had a good turnout, despite the monsoon that hit not too long after the teams took off for the scavenger hunt. Plus we all got to dress up in '80s costumes, which is always a blast. I'm already looking forward to next year's event!
  12. Totally not surprised. I wasn't a fan of hers, but no denying she had talent. So sad. What a waste.
  13. Scissor Sisters back in April at Hard Rock Live in Orlando. AWESOME SHOW! I want to be Ana Matronic when I grow up. She's just full of win.
  14. I am TOTALLY in for this... for the daytime part. I don't normally do Halloween events (I can't stomach the gore), but I'd try to make an exception for TPR. Regardless, I am SO excited about finally attending my first TPR event! w00t!! I heard the "Alone" house will be back but have a totally different ending this time.
  15. Cheetah Hunt... again. Rode it 5 times in a row last Saturday (thanks to the single rider line). I just love that coaster! It's not extreme, but it's just hella FUN!
  16. WOO-HOO!!! I just emailed you, Robb. Thanks! That is seriously a good way to end my day (which was a pretty decent to begin with).
  17. Steel: Magnum XL 200 Wood: Gwazi Hybrid: Gemini
  18. I just read the whole report again. I just can't get enough of looking at pics of Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. This place is really high up on my bucket (right after the Eiffel Tower). Was a little disappointed there wasn't much Duffy, considering the phenomenon he is in Japan, but I'll take the few photos I spotted him in. I just love me some Duffy bear! Loved the family shots at the end though. Best way to sum it all up. Oh and.... I want a Japan bag of crap!
  19. ^ Ummm... I was at the park Saturday and the Quick Queue for Cheetah Hunt was open then too. The unadvertised single rider line was open as well. I got in 5 rides using it.
  20. Ok the instructions on how to use the toilet were hilarious! OMG those waffles look awesome! The old school look of Fantasyland is pretty interesting. I really enjoyed the whole report. All 12 pages! Just.... awesome!
  21. SO. LOVING. THIS. REPORT. Seriously. If you can't make it out there, this is the next best thing... BAR NONE. And OMG I just died seeing all those cute little Duffy badges! I love me some Duffy (and Shellie May)!
  22. While talking to a coworker today, I learned something interesting. She grew up in New Jersey, so I asked her if she'd ever been to Six Flags Great Adventure. She said she had been there once. I asked if she remembered the Haunted Castle and the fire in 1984. Turns out... she knew the kids who were killed in the fire! Her mom was actually engaged to one of the kid's dad! She said she wasn't allowed to go to the park because of that fire (the one time she went was before that tragedy).
  23. I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Big Thunder accident at Disneyland from 2003. In one of the tunnels, the locomotive part of the train detached and rolled back into the rest of the train, killing one and injuring 10 others.
