  1. This is really cool! I'm looking forward to reading more on the progress of everything!
  2. I saw The Muppets today. Absolutely loved it. This film really did them justice and I admit I teared up a few times (and I wasn't the only one).
  3. Kronenbourg 1664 last weekend. I love that beer. Hopefully I'll be sampling some new beers tomorrow night.
  4. *runs through the thread screaming* Oh hi! Carry on....
  5. Yeah there can be some headbanging on the corkscrew part of Kumba if you're not careful. But it's worth it!
  6. The one on Kumba always makes me squeal with joy. Boy that sounds kind of dirty if you think about it.
  7. I laughed. I cried. Then I laughed some more.
  8. I remember visiting the Ripley's museum in Gatlinburg back in the early 90's (maybe a year before it was destroyed by a big fire). It wasn't the "World of the Unexplained" though. It was just called the "Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum". I remember there was a model of a ship made out of toothpicks and a ferris wheel made out of sugar cubes or something like that. Lots of bizarre & kind of creepy stuff. My best friend & I had a blast checking the place out.
  9. It feels natural to me, but I ride Montu a LOT (I've probably ridden it close to 50 times this year so far), so my opinion is probably moot. Anyhoo... I was at the park this past Monday and even though some of the schools around here are off all week for Thanksgiving, it wasn't too crowded for the most part. Saw one of the Christmas shows (the one at Desert Grill) and it was cute. Got in 2 rides on Kumba with no wait, 3 on Montu, once on Cheetah Hunt (had a posted 20 minute wait) and rode Lion side of Gwazi (Tiger wasn't running that day). Saw Kasi the cheetah and he gets bigger by the week, but he's still freaking adorable. I'll be at the park again next Friday with a friend from California and it'll be his first visit to the park. He's been reading up on the coasters and can't wait to ride them.
  10. I remember visiting Canada's Wonderland back in 1988. Really nice park but I thought I was going to die on a couple of the coasters. The stand up one was so slow I though we were going to get stuck upside down in the loop! And I remember one of the wooden coasters only had a lap bar like on Blue Streak at Cedar Point (doesn't go all the way down to your lap) and I was hanging on for dear life because the airtime would have made me fly out of the coaster otherwise. I hope that one eventually got seatbelts or something because that was effing TERRIFYING! I do remember LOVING the coaster/mine train that went through Wonder Mountain. Thunder Run, I believe it's called? Yeah I rode that a bunch of times. I hope to go back there again one day.
  11. And video it for a permanent (and hilarious) record.
  12. Since I'm in Tampa... yeah I'm in! I'd love to pop up to Orlando, get to know you guys a little better and have some fun. I'd also like to suggest in February we should totally have an impromptu TPR day at the Florida State Fair. That would be so awesome!
  13. Nice! is it weird that the whole time I looked at this TR, the theme to "Laverne & Shirley" was playing in my head? Now I want a beer.
  14. ^ That gorilla is a camera ham. He was totally posing when I was snapping some pics of him last week.
  15. I love seeing all the goodies people are getting in their bags of crap! I still enjoy looking through the two that I've won in the past, especially the one from Japan this year. Looking forward to seeing more people post their crap!
  16. Same. It LOOKS like a really nice park overall though. Hopefully one day they'll see its true potential.
  17. ^ He's so PURDY! I'm still trying to get excited about this Fantasyland expansion. I guess I should just go in with low expectations and hopefully will be somewhat blown away. It's definitely something the park needs, but at the same time I'm kind of "meh" about it. *shrug*
  18. Maybe this year I'll finally win something! I came so close a couple of times, then got denied at the last moment.
  19. I agree with what Adam said. OLC usually spares no expense with attractions, and knowing how big that Star Tours building is in Tokyo... I can only imagine the goodness they're going to bring with the update.
  20. That's pretty cool! Hopefully this will speed things up because so many people seem to have absolutely no clue what to do with their tickets with the "old" system.
  21. Oh that was absolute comedy gold. I hope he'll be there as well!
  22. Why didn't you let me know you were going there to credit whore because I live like 3 miles from there! My last coaster was Kumba this past Tuesday.
  23. As usual, wonderful photos, Hanno! The expressions on some of the people on the coasters ranged from pure joy to downright hilarious (like the kid on the wild mouse). I seriously can't want to check this park out for myself soon.
