  1. I'm currently uploading a POV I shot earlier this year of feeding some wallabies at Busch Gardens Tampa. Figured we could use some critter cuteness as well as kick-ass coasters.
  2. I am really looking forward to checking out this park in the near future. I think my last visit was in the late 70's or early 80's when the park was in its heyday.... before they started adding rides even. One thing though... That's not a supermarket. Bealls is a clothing store. And I've shopped at that particular one too!
  3. Wow! That looks one really cool fair! Oh that is hilarious! Love it!
  4. Woah. Jungle Storm looks insane! Thanks for sharing that POV. That is one heck of a crazy layout!
  5. Picture turned out fine, had to make a selection of pictures to post of that day.. and skipped that one.. Ok no worries. Hope it eventually gets posted somewhere though as I'd like to see it (proof I finally attended a TPR event).
  6. I remember going on one of those Toboggans when I was a kid with my cousin. They had one at a fair we went to. I don't remember if it was painful, but I do remember us screaming our fool heads off the whole time.
  7. My home park (Busch Gardens Tampa) is open year-round, so no real withdrawal symptoms for me. Think I might hit the park one day next week for a Cheetah Hunt and Kumba fix. Though in between visits, I do love watching the Coaster Expedition videos I've downloaded... and of course Drunk Piers (he seriously needs his own "fan" page on Facebook) videos are always good for a laugh.
  8. Nice! I will always have fond memories of Busch Gardens Bash. It was such a great (however looong) day. Was hoping you were going to post the group shot of everyone that morning before the bash started. How did it turn out?
  9. ^^ I got that same press release. I told my mom Frankie Avalon is coming right before her birthday and she's already making plans to see him. I'm happy Kinetix will be back again. It was really an amazing show. Looking forward to what the 2012 version will be like.
  10. Last night I went to a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's my Halloween tradition to see it in the theatre with a live shadow cast. We actually have 2 shadow casts here in Tampa Bay. I've seen one, so decided to check out the other. They actually had females playing Frank & Rocky, which was... different. The one playing Frank was actually quite good, but the one playing Rocky... not so great. And the girl playing Columbia just didn't seem into it (maybe she was just having a "off" night). I'll give them another chance because the rest of the cast was pretty decent.
  11. The video of Piers dancing with the caution cone is hilarious. I really want to go on a cruise sometime. So many of my friends have gone and say how fun they are.
  12. I actually have a couple times. Looks like it's the same show that's at the Florida State Fair in Tampa.
  13. Hey I'm in one of your Cheetah Hunt photos! Looking like a complete dork but... Busch Gardens Bash was so much fun... Unexpected! Can't wait to see more photos!
  14. Looks nice! I'm sure water park fans will enjoy this. I'm like Dan though... I do NOT like getting wet. Only time I willingly will is when I take a shower.
  15. Did he remind you to eat your oat bran? Before he was the "diabetes guy", he was the "oat brand guy" in the late 80s/early 90s.
  16. Oh boy. Let me see.... I've met a TON of baseball players. Mostly Detroit Tigers, past & present, including: Al Kaline George Kell Willie Horton Mickey Lolich Jim Price Jim Northrup Alan Trammell Kirk Gibson Lou Whittaker Guillermo(Willie) Hernandez Justin Verlander Cecil Fielder (I remember watching his son, now Brewers slugger, Prince, run around the dugout in Detroit when he was a little kid) ... a lot more that I won't even bother listing as most of you probably never heard of them. Some of the Tampa Bay Rays I've met: Evan Longoria Desmond Jennings Matt Joyce I've also met Barry Larkin, Ernie Harwell (he was the "Voice of the Tigers" on the radio), Sparky Anderson, Jose Lima (I was SHOCKED when he suddenly died... he was so sweet), Carl Crawford (before he deserted us for the Red Sox), Carlos Peña... Then there's the bands/musicians... Duran Duran Nile Rodgers Live Sugar Ray Avril Lavigne (I met her just a few months before she "broke" in the US) a couple guys from Anberlin OK Go Comedians: Carrot Top Margaret Cho Celebs I've seen in person but not met: Mark Harmon Bob Saget I think that's it.
  17. Florida Avenue Ale by Cold Storage Craft Brewery in Tampa, FL. http://www.coldstoragecraftbrewery.com/Services.html
  18. Once again, PETA shows they're several fries short of a Happy Meal. *facepalm*
  19. Thank you, Robb, for setting these guidelines. I can always cut the non-native English speakers some slack because English is really a difficult language to learn for some nationalities, with all the slang, multiple meanings of words and what have you. I have no issues with that whatsoever and I appreciate those who take the time to learn the language. But for those who do speak English as your native language... you're taught proper spelling and grammar for a reason. PLEASE use what you're taught. People will respect you more as you'll appear educated and mature. Thank you.
  20. Nice pics! Thanks for sharing! Now I'm getting excited for the Florida State Fair next February! I didn't make it to this year's fair, but I've been in previous years and it's just tackily awesome. Next year I will FINALLY get the 2 or 3 coaster credits they have, hell or highwater!
  21. If I were you, I'd speak to your doctor about it as they would know best. The more intense rides though say you shouldn't ride if you have any medical conditions. But talking to your doctor will be your safest bet.
