What have you been hit in the head with?
tngdiablo replied to zaneymon's topic in Random, Random, Random
Metal baseball bat. On the swing. I didn't fall. It hurt though. Oh, my dad threw an apple or maybe it was a pear, at my head once, that actually hurt a lot. Turns out those suckers are pretty solid. -
Hey, you never know...

As always, my favorite one liner... An Irish guy walks past a bar. Or, my backup... A dyslexic man walks into a bra. And then, one my CS teacher told the class: If Helen Keller falls in the woods, does she make a sound?

You went to the area, and didn't have Portobello's pizza...sadface.

^ Ding ding ding ding! I'd build a giant house with a giant garage. In that garage would be: Enzo Ferrari (I'd have to buy it off of some willing bloke) Mercedes McLaren SLR Aston Martin DB9 (Vanquish sucks) Ford GT Koenigsegg CCR Ferrari F430 Ferrari F40 Ferrari Testarossa (See a trend here?) Ariel Atom 2 (Civic Si in a bare-naked chassis,) Morgan Aero 8 Bugatti Veyron Nissan Skyline GTR-33 (Right hand drive) Mini Cooper S (For the twisties) Subaru Impreza WRX STi (For the twisties as well) Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (The one with all the crazy letters and numbers at the end) And then after all the newer cars are bought, time to build up the muscle car collection. 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 (A la Eleanor from Gone in 60) 1968 Dodge Charger (Hemi) 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 1971 Plymouth Barracuda (Hemi, Manual = One of the rarest cars ever) That's pretty much all the msucle cars I'm DYING to get, but I could gather up some more. Shoot, with all that muscle, I'd probably have to get my own gas station. Don't even get me started on the house itself... Let's just say your ears will be ringing for days after you leave...

I skimmed, seems like you're having a blast. Make sure to get to Grimaldi's or Portobello's, look at my earlier post for locations. And if you go to Portobello's tell the manager (Tony, medium height Sicilian man, probably arming the cash register, see picture below) that Juancarlos sent you. You might get preferential treatment...keyword, "might." However, he is a very friendly guy, so you can talk to him with ease. Tony is the one in the middle.

"This is good, you are getting away from the drudgery of your normal Monday life, spent playing Stratego at home" -Triumph the comic insult dog Packing stinks. It was pretty bad for me fitting everything into two boxes and the car for me to move to college...500 miles away. I have so much crap and clothes, my roommate just said "whoa, that's a lot of stuff." -
This is way late but I think a better question is "Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?"

Are you a soccer fan or do you play soccer?
tngdiablo replied to Hattuchili's topic in Random, Random, Random
No, but living in New York and having greek friends influenced me a lot. They are crazy. -

Sikose to...to gamimeno!! I'm sorry but MLS sucks, majorly. When I was at the England-Colombia game at the end of May this year, a Metrostars game was right after that match...let me tell you, I stayed for five minutes tops, and then me and my dad and about half of the stadium waltzed on out. To think that people went to the main match only to wait for the Metrostars game to start... Some people just don't know what soccer is...ahem, football, i'm sorry. My speech has become too americanized. -
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Yeah, I got the game in June and still haven't finished. Figure I might as well take my ever so present free time in college and play. The ending missions are hard like

I denied potential plans for partying it up at my friend's house tonight because I wanted to sleep. Alas, it's 12:20 and I am not asleep. How sad...yay college.

Let me guess, you're going to Disneyland? Happy 2 Years! -
If I were in New York instead of at college away from home, I would hang out but alas...I'll be home for Thanksgiving though.
-
Thats a bit insulting. While it is true that there are many New Yorkers that are rude and generally don't care about anything, most of us are not and rather like to help people out when they need it. It angers me when people assume all these things about New Yorkers, but that might have been your experience, so to each his own. If you're in the city, try to get tickets to Blue Man Group at the Astor Place Theatre. That is certainly a show that you do not want to miss. They might be expensive and I don't think you can get the matinee tickets since they are usually for school groups and the HighFive tickets program but I guess it's worth a shot. Maybe you could hang around and bum a ticket off of some teacher. -Juancarlos "We're not all rude" Aponte

EDIT: Never mind. I'm tired and didn't realize that it said "Posts" not "Age"

Too bad the Alvey's can't spell Logistics...

Can't really help you out with Theme Parks, all I know of in the area is Astroland, Playland, and Adventureland. If you go further to Jersey or Connecticut there are more, although Great Adventure is closed for the season. I can recommend pizza though, actually two pizzerias. The first, Grimaldi's Pizzeria, in Brooklyn, right under the Brooklyn Bridge on Old Fulton Street. Best pizza ever, straight out of the brick oven. The second, Portobello's Pizzeria & Sicilian Kitchen...the pizza is amazing, and probably the best slice you'll get out of a conventional pizza oven these days (Brick ovens aren't allowed in Manhattan). Portobello's is on Murray Street, just off of Greenwich Street in Lower Manhattan. Juancarlos "Giving a great slice of the Big Apple" Aponte

SFAW Tribute Video
tngdiablo replied to coaster1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just a few notes that I would like to add on the video: -The pictures at the beginning, I think that you should have darkened them a bit, sort of like the pictures of UT's lift hill and then the Texas Cyclone with the sun setting behind it. More of them should have been like that. -The ending IMO would have been more effective had you put in the empty train of the Cyclone. I think that's all I had. Just some suggestions -
Hands down, Mountain Dew Livewire. I just wish they would offer it year round...

No hair in this package, huh Soren?

Taco Bell last night. DineAnytime Grill isn't open yet, still another half hour to go before a breakfast burger and pizza. Oh, I forgot today we have the wing bar! Woohoo! I love college...

Very moving video. The song alone could bring me to tears. I liked the ending as well. For a quick edit, this turned out very well. -
The Official "Champions League 2005/2006" Thread!
tngdiablo replied to Hattuchili's topic in Random, Random, Random
Real Madrid needs to win! Thats all I keep saying to myself. Second place in Group F, if we win this, we can keep that and then we just have to beat Lyon and Olympiakos. Go Madrid!
