  1. Wow, so much response, I feel as though I've run the original thread's topic off the tracks. Hurry up with those pictures Gregg and steal some of my thunder back.
  2. Sounds good Robb. I forgot that Kennywood was four hours away from Hershey. This might turn out to be a much longer trip than expected...oh well, more time on the road with my friends. Thanks for all the advice guys.
  3. Hey Gregg, I am planning a similar trip for next summer and I was just wondering what order you went to the parks in. I'm coming from New York City so I was thinking SFGAdv (Day One), Dorney (Day Two), Knoebels and Hershey Park (Day Three). Is it worth it to be at Dorney for a whole day? Or would it be better to do Dorney and Knoebels in one day and then maybe Hershey and Kennywood another? Thanks. Anyone else who has done a similar trip is more than welcome to respond to this as well.
  4. That sure is a rare breed of whale you got a picture there with Elissa. You got this stupid Atkins guy who is endangering the species. Best pics are of the Penguins and the Meerkats. The sea turtle sex reminds me of the pic that GACoaster got of the tortoises having sex at Great Adventure.
  5. Awesome video! Balder and Kanonen are simply spectacular looking rides. You can really see the ejector airtime on Balder. This is sure making my mouth salivate at the thought of Coaster Expedition 6 shipping in less than a week.
  6. For coaster enthusiasts who like to have a nice recap of the prior day's events in the coaster and theme park world while on the way to class/work.
  7. Awesome video, loving the music and the editing. Bench: The Ride was great, that one woman didn't know what was going on. "I didn't even s*** myself." Seems like you shot the same part of Spinball multiple times though, it got a little repetitive but other than that I have no complaints. Thumbs up from me.
  8. That was awesome Robb. I was laughing so hard, my roommate was giving me the weirdest looks.
  9. Balder is a wooden coaster. There shouldn't be any debate over it. So is Colossos and so will the new SFGAdv woodie.
  10. *Yarmulkas. Oh man, PANTIES! Crossdressing with TPR anyone?
  11. Yawn, I already have a hot pink shirt so that wouldn't help, I'll stick with the white.
  12. No dice, Great Adventure's water table is extremely high. This is why S:UF didn't get a tunnel when it was built. Record breaking drop will only come as a consequence of record breaking height. I'm still putting my money on steepest drop as one of the record breakers.
  13. This is the best news I've had all week. I am so excited for this, I almost jumped out of my seat while in chemistry class.
  14. As much as I disliked the Coney Island environment when I went this past summer, I would hate to see it go away. That is something that makes Coney Island so unique, bathrooms inside trailers that cost 25 cents to use, the constant (not so constant now) sound of Cyclone barrelling through its course, and the screams heard from people who don't expect the surprise on Deno's Wheel. This would turn the historic Coney Island area into a huge joke, sure it would probably bring in a ton of money in the long run and would give the area a much needed revamping, but c'mon, you can't touch it. It's a landmark, when people hear of Coney Island, they immediately think of the Cyclone, Deno's Wheel, Nathan's, and all the other great stuff to be had. The area could use a little touchup, but this is purely out of line.
  15. Oh my sweet Jesus. I think....I'm going to cry. That looks incredible, not to mention work is going at a great pace. Can't wait to see this one finished. This should be shown to Six Flags Great Adventure, make them get a move on constructing the new Intamin wooden.
  16. Hoorah, my first TPR DVD. I'm so excited. And I get a TPR shirt to boot! Woohoo!
  17. At first, all I saw was Boomerang and immediately thought "What is wrong with you? You're happy about getting a boomerang?" But then I saw the water park business and realized it was actually a good thing. I'm hoping to make it to Carowinds soon due to my semi-close proximity now that I'm in college.
  18. That's terrible. What did the daughter say to all this? And there is a HUGE difference between petting and punching.
  19. How has nobody mentioned the "Try our Hand Dipped Fried Twinkies?" That sounds like the most disgusting thing ever. No wonder everyone is fat.
  20. Great Adventure being my home park, I am definitely the most excited about their new wooden coaster. I absolutely cannot wait for the announcement of the coaster to see exactly what we are getting. Since parts are already arriving at the park and it is known to be an Intamin pre fabricated wooden roller coaster, it should undoubtably be a top 10 wooden if not a top 5. Intamin have proven their design and capability in designing wooden coasters with Balder and Colossos and this should be no different. Speculation puts the coaster at a crossroads between Colossos and Balder in terms of their elements but it is simply that, speculation. Until the announcement we really have no clue what it could be.
  21. Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios Orlando.
  22. I found Elissa. That was too easy though.
  23. Wow, that's shaping up to be an awesome ride. Too bad it's in Australia. . Either way, lucky you.
  24. Is there a list of the actual coasters included in this package. I really don't want to go around looking for them, especially since there are so many already included in the game.
  25. A few years ago I went to the Hempstead Fair or carnival or something out at the Nassau Colliseum. They had a coaster there that me and my friend went on. There weren't any seatbelts, any lap bars, or for that matter, any restraints at all. We thought nothing of it since it was such a small ride. Wowee, were we wrong. From off the ride, you don't really grasp the elements of the ride so well. The lift hill was hidden by a wall that had the name of the ride and all that good stuff. As soon as we turned the corner and started to drop, I saw up ahead of us a fairly banked turn of roughly 90 degrees. Now, remember that there are no restraints on this ride. I quickly look around the car and see this little thin bar on either side of the car. I grab each tightly, more tightly than a woman giving birth squeezes the hand of the person standing next to her (hopefully that didn't come off too bad). I am screaming very loudly by this time. As we enter the turn, I just start screaming, Holy F*ck, Holy F*ck, repeatedly. In the turn, I feel my ass slowly peel away from the seat beneath me. I was scared as all hell by that time. Luckily, the damn coaster gained enough speed to get the heck out of that turn quickly. The rest of the ride, I have no clue what transpired because all I could think about was that ~90 degree bank. Maybe I wasn't scared to death but I surely was scared that I wasn't going to make it back to the station. Phew, what a ride. I went on it again.
