  1. Hades is in the wood poll and ranked 7th this year. Pretty good for it's first appearance. The thing that suprised me was Millennium Force ranking in 3rd. I don't disagree with it, but it never seems to be a big favorite among enthusiasts. A lot of people complain of it being boring and lacking thrills.
  2. My check from work was bigger than expected, I received a generous check from IU giving me back some of my money, I bought my tickets to BGT, SeaWorld, IOA, and USF last night, and I got Animal House today. Now I'm getting ready to go out to eat to Texas Roadhouse with a gift card. Today has been a very good day.

  4. I actually truly understand how you feel, and I know what you're saying. You sound a lot like me when I was your age. I know its rough man, and it's hard not being part of the in crowd. Trust me when I say that there is a lot more to life than gettin' laid and partying every weekend. I actually made it into the in crowd. Yeah, I had some good times, but I also hid some of my true characteristics. I essentially wasn't who I really was. In the long run, popularity isn't going to matter, which kind of gave me an empty feeling sometimes. Once you graduate high school, it seriously disappears. Everybody is on the same playing field come college. Just be who you are and be happy. If that includes trying to fit in with the "popular" crowd, so be it. Be happy, just don't lose yourself. As for talking to somebody, I honestly don't know everything that goes on in your life and how much it's bothering you, but it's never a bad idea. Contrary to some beliefs, you don't have to be crazy to see a counselor. I'm not going to lie, I've done it twice. I went for a while my senior year and I went again this past fall. Those people do wonders and can really help you turn your life around. If things are really bothering you, then I would recommend it. You'll really be glad you did it, and it's completely confidential.
  5. ^^ That would be freakin' awesome!
  6. So today, when I signed onto AOL, when of the features was 10 foods that may seem like they are sinless, but actually can be bad for you. Some of things they mentioned were low fat dressings, low fat foods period, meat; no matter how it's cooked, soups, and to top it off, juices. Juices!! Juices are fattening supposedly! I'm not saying they don't have their fair share of calories, but they neglect to inform you what kind of calories they are. I just thought this article was ridiculously overkill. Seriously, what the hell are people supposed to eat and drink when even low fat foods and juices are bad for you!? Whoever wrote that article needs to be beat upside the head with a stick of salami or something. The article essentially said, "you're f-bombed no matter what you do." On a similar note, it just drives me crazy how obsessed people are with dieting these days. I work at an ice cream store and I see tons of good looking, fit, and thin people coming in and wanting the fat free ice cream 'cause they are on a diet. What is your problem? I guess I wouldn't want the ice cream if I was just going to get the disgusting sugarless, fat free crap. It just seems like diets are becoming an all too popular "solution" to staying thin, or getting thin. So many people go on diets to lose weight, but they forget the most important thing... exercise. Losing weight is great, but that isn't going to do a great deal if that person doesn't get the rest of their body into shape. I think it's great that so many people are trying to get into shape, it just drives me nuts how they are doing it. There are better ways to do it besides munching on lettuce while lounging on a couch all day.
  7. "How can he be Asian? Santa doesn't drive twenty miles an hour under the speed limit with his blinker on!"
  8. Go for the whole bag my friend. I'm not just talking about regular buttered popcorn. I go all out with the Orville Redenbacher Cinnabon popcorn.
  9. Yeah, I noticed these once while hopping around rcdb. I'm not sure if they are really cool looking or really dumb looking. Either way, it looks like a better ride than the old trains.
  10. I have a slight thing for two different girls. On top of that, they are both ex-girlfriends.
  11. "Women are not people. They are devices built by the lord Jesus Christ for our entertainment."
  12. I want a giant interactive manatee exhibit. Seriously! Manatees are my favorite animals! In a week and a half, I'll be returning to SeaWorld for the first time since 1992 and I can't freakin' wait. -Scott "Don't ever call them sea cows around me" Parrish
  13. ^Speaking of which, whatever happened to Greg? I haven't seen him around the boards in a long time.
  14. I know exactly where that runaway ramp picture was taken! That's awesome! I'll actually be driving that road in a little over a week. Looks like you guys had a good time! Good TR Julie.
  15. ^You know, I've spent my entire life an hour away from Indy, but I've never been to a Pacers game. Granted though, I have a top 25 NCAA team right here in town that probably plays much higher quality ball.
  16. I think I'd probably go with Dominator or Apollo's Chariot. I would consider Hades as well. Honestly though, I have no desire to ever do something like this. I love roller coasters, but not enough to waste 100 consecutive days of my life riding the same one.
  17. I can't believe how people are complaining about this ride. Sure its a one trick pony with hardly anything to it, but it's something that you didn't have before. Ten second ride or not, its still going to be a pretty thrilling ride and that top hat is something that no other place in Europe has. I understand the disappointment in not having more, but jeeze, you had a powered coaster before. I can understand the name argument a bit though.
  18. Happy Birthday Robb!
  19. Though there are a lot of Arrow rides I actually like a lot, I'm going with them because anything besides their '99-or later rides are engineered so poorly. The movements are very abrupt and some of the turns and elements are angled very unnaturally, i.e. turns before double corkscrews. The already jerky rides just become painful as the roughen with age.
  20. Thanks for the tips Joe. I'll be in Orlando from Jan 21-26. I hope it's not too cold for the water rides.
  21. I actually have a really bad habit of burning my mouth. I always eat something that is way too hot, but then stick it back in again as if it has already cooled off enough. I guess I'm just too hungry usually. I'm a moron like that.
  22. Hijiacking #2 Are there any seats on any rides (Universal, SeaWorld, BGT) that will make the experience significantly better, so much that I need to atually bother with specifically getting that seat? Or are the differences fairly insignificant on most of the rides? Elissa and Robb, I know you guys have a restaurant that you particularly like at IOA, right? Or am I totally off? Well, if I'm right, what is it and what's the price range? Thanks everybody.
  23. I have a ton of basketball cards from when I was young. Can't wait to pull those bad boys out 30 years down the road.
  24. Track all the way. I haven't even experienced it with old, heavy cars. I had a blast on SFOT's. I felt the lightness of the cars made it sort of easy to spin people out. Lots of fun and total mayhem if somebody wrecked in front of another. The track style really reminds me of Destruction Derby and Demolition Racer for PS1.
  25. I can finally say I've been outside the U.S.
