  2. My Blues are off to a pretty good start. They are 5-2-0 right now, sitting second in the West-Central behind the Crap Wings, though they've also played to more games than us. I'm really hoping we get a playoff berth this year. I'm feeling it. Though if Minnesota keeps this up, they'll be the team to beat in the West. They are looking really strong. Hopefully I'll get to St. Louis for a game in the next few months.
  3. You don't actually follow baseball, do you? Apparently hitting is the only thing that will win the game. However, if you can't argue with SLUGGERS!, then your BoSox are screwed. Not only did the Rockies hit more homers in the regular season than Boston, but Ortiz, Boston's leading HR hitter, was out homered by Matt Holiday of the Rockies. Furthermore, the next three highest HR hitters on the Rockies all out homered the second highest on the BoSox. I'm not saying the BoSox are going to lose. I could really careless honestly 'cause none of my teams are in it. I'm just saying, if you are going to make such bold talk, be able to back up your argument. It's fans like you that give their team's fans a bad rap. Wes and Joe, I'm starting to wonder if we should start a 'bad experience with bad fans' thread. I have quite a few stories I could tell from run-ins with douchebag fans.
  4. Dang Natalie, you take some really good pictures! I thought I took some pretty good ones when I was there this summer, but I'm realizing that half of them are crap now. Nice TR!
  5. "The Lighthouse's Tale"- Nickel Creek
  6. Yeah, personally I love that last hill. It's the last big kicker for the ride, though it does really throw you over and against the restraint. Again, I actually love that, but I can definitely see how it might hurt or be uncomfortable.
  7. I just saw a Fox commercial that simply consisted of an anchor saying "Fox News... America's BEST political coverage." I just about peed myself. Oh, good stuff.
  8. Yeah, again, it's you. It's almost like an optical illusion. I've seen the same question come up with other B&M trains upon arrival.
  9. Yeah, I've never had a problem with Dominator being rough, no matter where I rode. During it's last few years, it started to develop a slight rattle, but nothing that effect the quality of the ride. I still would have classified it as smooth. Well, I'm glad it's going to KD. I've been hoping they would get a floorless for about the last seven years.

  11. They are not as nearly as pointless as you obviously think. Do tell. I'm not RCFreak, but I HAVE had my horse collar pop open on an Invertigo and I must say that I am very glad that the safety belt was there, otherwise I would have plummeted to my death when it shockingly opened up as I was going up the lift hill in reverse. So yes, they aren't nearly as pointless as you obviously think.
  12. Given that message, I feel like it should be something more along the lines of: "Diana is ticked off at me because she wanted her freedom back, along with some sanitary living conditions and food other than C-rations. Sorry, kiddo, but with $300-500 cell phone bills each month because of 6000 messages, I have to say no."
  13. I think ten years might even be quite a bit generous. I personally "got" Voyage. I love it's constant incredible speed, it's numerous pops of airtime, and it's kamikaze-fast turns. It's that whole completely-out-of-control feeling that I love, though I must say that I've only ridden the non-trimmed version. However, it was almost too rough in it's sophomore season. I'd be surprised if in two or three years I still want to ride the thing. I'm on the train that doesn't really get Raven. I mean, it's a good, fun ride, but I don't really get how anybody could call it the best in the park. I'm not really sure what people see in it to give it that status. Again, I really like it, but would never call it the best in the park. To each his own.
  14. ^The bigger question is 'what is a python doing in the water/sewer pipes of NYC?'
  15. I think this is my favorite variation of the forum title.
  16. Weird. My aunt actually found a snake in her toilet once. I can't remember what kind of snake it was, but she started having trouble flushing the toilet, so she took the top off and found a fairly good sized snake in it..
  17. I grew up going to WDW. It was quite a while before I found out that there was a difference between Disneyland and Disney World. And from then on out, I grew up pretty much believing that WDW was superior to DL. I still haven't been to Disneyland, though it's a goal for the near future. Oh, and I did grow up in Indiana.
  18. I find it annoying that there is even a story about this. Why is this news? I guess it's not much different than reading about a high-speed chase or something, but still. Some idiots deliberately broke the rules (anybody that has been to the park knows that it had to be deliberate) and got kicked out of the park. That's a story? Wow. Props to Great America for growing juevos.
  19. "Underneath the Golden Grain"- Reuben's Accomplice
  20. ^While you bring up a decent point, it's still rather invalid. It's not like people weren't capable of building a 400 ft coaster back in the day, they just never thought it would happen. Granted, they didn't have the technology to launch a ride back then, but it's not like they didn't have the technology to build a 400ft traditional coaster. It's just nobody ever expected it to get to that point. Hypothetically, they could have easily built a 400 ft traditional coaster. It would have simply been a matter of adding the support to hold such a structure. At the moment, this is without a doubt impossible. There are too many variables; weight, wind, trajectory, weight distribution. Even if you had weights to counter balance the weight of the passengers, those passengers aren't going to stay still. They are going to move, and every movement they make screws up the distribution. Because of this, simply making it to the other side wouldn't be the only worry. The car could likely twist in the air. Wind will only screw this up more. As everybody has said, it's impossible. Stupid question. However, THIS is possible :
  21. "Cherry Bomb"- John Mellencamp
  22. Hands down, from Tom's Japan TR, this gets my vote: Robb, did you play a part in Dogma but have your character cut from the movie?
  23. I'm calling shenanigans. There's no way that's real. It looks too obviously fake. Particularly with the girl laid perfectly on the ground with no blood? Yeah, no way.
  24. ^True, however, it wasn't but five to ten years ago that it was bumpy-ish without any full on jackhammering anywhere, and the only brakes on the thing were in that first long shed after the first two turns and at the end of the ride. It was so good back then that, if it were still in that state, a back seat ride would probably still be a contender for my top woodie, or at least in the top 5. Now, you'd have to pay me to ride it in the back seat. It's been trimmed to hell, and it's rougher than it was before. At this point, I'd almost rather see them bring a company in to completely re-track it, almost completely re-profile it so ALL the trims can be taken off while keeping it an awesome ride, and add new trains to it. More or less, pull a Phantom's Revenge on it. Take a formerly awesome ride and make it even better. I'd rather see that done than have a new coaster or major ride added anytime soon. But I'm also well aware that this will only occur in my dreams.
