  1. There is another video from the other side:
  2. I will be going to the press launch for Atmosfear this Wednesday, so if anyone have any intelligent questions for the Liseberg management then post them here before Wednesday morning and I will try to get them answered!! Easiest would be to take the train from Stockholm and Gothenburg. Go to www.sj.se to book a ticket, prices range from 95 SEK for the slow trains 4-5 hours or from 150-300 SEK for the fast trains about 3 hours. The cheap tickets are non refundable and are available 90 days before the day of travel, there is a limited amount of cheap tickets so prices will rise depending on demand and time. From the central station you could walk to Liseberg if you have the time, or take a bus, tram or taxi...
  3. Fresh of the Gröna Lund FB page: Source
  4. tiger01: I might do... freefallXL: it's already on there. CLICK deathbydinn: if you have the money, do it. But I warn you, it's really hard in the beginning. ^ Sure NL2 is coming "soon", but it could also mean that it will take a year or so before it's released, I know, since in the past whenever there were a new update coming it said soon but it took forever for them to release it...
  5. Thanks for the comment Also would like to add that this is made without tools if someone was wondering... About the name, it's a name I really like, and it's actually the second coaster I have made with the same name, the colour scheme for this coaster is taken from the latest Shinkansen train (Info at wikipedia) which is branded with the name "Hayabusa"... And no I haven't browse any monthly micros, since I'm not a big fan of RCT at the moment.
  6. Not having touched NL for a long time (what feels like years) I decided to see if I still had it in me do make a coaster. Also never really made a B&M since my early days several years ago I gave it a go. This is the product of a 12 hour build... I present: Stats: Roller Coaster: Hayabusa Amusement Park: Loefet Summerland Classification: Roller Coaster Type: Steel - Inverted Status: Operating since 3/21/2011 Make / Model: B&M / Invert (custom) Length: 744 m (2441 ft) Height: 40 m (130 ft) Inversions: 4 Top Speed: 92 km/h (57 mph) Maximum G-force: 5.1 g's Elements: Loop Zero-G roll Immelmann Corkscrew Trains: 2 trains with 7 cars per train. Riders are arranged 4 across in a single row for a total of 28 riders per train. Download
  7. Went into Gothenburg yesterday, and hanged out on the roof of a parking garage for half an hour today to see if I could grab some shots/vids of some testing action... But they were only doing some slow clearance checks on the brakes or something during the time I was there. Still it's going to be awesome!!! New video from above, dropping from the top this time. Looks like it slows down quite a bit before it enters the building below, but then again it's an empty drop car at the moment, with some additional weight it will take a bit longer to slow down... Can't wait for them to release the date for the Pressday
  8. ^^ Next time you post an image you haven't taken yourself post the source of it, which in this case was me ^ Only from 66 meters this time, I would guess that they will increase it for every run until they get to the top. I might stop by our Liseberg observation point when I go to Gothenburg tomorrow...
  9. Are you sure that they are trims, they could be a set of boosters to give be sure to get the train over the hill? Or just be a part of a roll-back system. Either way this thing looks really nice, can't wait until I get a chance to ride one of these large models.
  10. Be happy that you didn't manage to many flips on Götterflug, after doing 60+ flips during one cycle I would have to say that it was the most nauseating experience ever, I mean drunken Piers isn't even close to the feeling...
  11. Liseberg names Andreas Andersen as the successor for the CEO post in the Liseberg group, when Mats Wedin retires February 1:st next year. He have great experiences within the business, worked for Tivoli A/S between 2001-2008, have been leading the IAAPA (Europe branch) since 2008 and is also the person in charge of the EAS show. So I wish him good luck in the future, and let he continue with the Liseberg success story!! Link to press release: LIseberg [swedish] ADMIN EDIT: I've gone ahead and added the official press release in English that Liseberg has sent us regarding this announcement.
  12. ^ I completely agree with you that this isn't a DM track that they have taken a picture of. Unless B&M have decided to make one that is just 4 seats wide or something, like a B&M Eurofighter. Also when looking on the brake-run piece you can see that they will be using a new brake setup with the magnets on the train instead of the track that every other B&M have. Could this mean that this coaster may have a LSM launch?? May I even go so far to call it a B&M Aquatrax, especially considering it's location in the park...
  13. ^ Then you might as well delete this whole topic, since I don't want to put that much time into doing it all over again...
  14. ^ I noticed that, but they work on another forum that I have posted this PTR on... I have no idea on what's wrong here. They are there, I seems like photobucket won't work here on TPR, if some mod don't know what's wrong then you can lock/delete this thread... EDIT: I have located the fault with the Images and PM:ed Robb about it, it's something that is coded into the forums that makes the way it is. The thing is that all my trip report images are located in a folder called "P T R" (without the spaces) on Photobucket, and when you write that TPR automatically replaces it with "Photo TR" (even in links) which causes the images to fail...
  15. Ok here goes... Day 0, or as it really should be day -1 and 0. We all went on a short weekend drive to Öland which is located on the other side of Sweden from where we live. On the way there we visited our uncle at a "antique" engine show (which actually was the main reason why we went), and going to Öland was pretty natural since most of us hadn't been there before... Luckily enough for me I knew that there was a few credits there that I haven't ridden at the time, so I had an excuse to leave my parents and get some new credits while they went on a rock pile (aka. old buildings) sightseeing I expected the place to be a bit crappy by what I have herd of it before I got there, and the entrance fee seemed like a rip-off to what I knew was available, but that changed when we got in... The main reason for this weekend trip was the motor show, they had a lot of stuff that made a great noise, most of the engines were 50+ years old, some a lot older than that. The insanely long bridge between Mainland Sweden and Öland First things first, before we went to the park we made a mandatory tourist stop at the southern lighthouse, Long Jan But beware there was a lot of animals on the road The old Swedish kings really know how to show off, like this wall that stretch right across the southern tip of Öland Finally it's time for some new credits!! Shame that I left my speedos at home Welcome to Ölands Djur och Nöjespark!! Blues Brothers??? WTF?? I spy a credit!! But before that, here is a monkeys ass and Flamingos and a goat This was new, a blue monkey... Some other animal Insert fart sound here... Llamas!! I couldn't get the full mugshot so here is half Camel doing some neck exercises See they are not only in Kenya Teenage mutant ninja turtles!! or not... Who needs Africa, when you can stay here by the savannah Complete with Zebras Strutsar And other horned animals Lemurs!! Wiiii Yo Human open the dooor!! Another monkey Some horned cow like thing They have a lot of monkeys Lynx says Nyaaa!! Snooze Did anyone say food?? They have even got tigers, no need for Kenya Mirror mirror in the water... It's the Coon!! Hmm, strange type of tiger More strange animals Black bears Chimpanzees Hey come here No not you Did we walk through a time warp?? Oh Noes!! It got my brother It is coming!! Finally some attractions Easily the best ride in the park!! Random stalls First credit Antenna POV I know you love it Did I say that this place was deserted today Mmmm, another credit Other stuff Ok... Be aware of sharks Afrika expressen I don't know if I trust this guy... It have incredible themeing Nice Even more Monkeys The Geopard does not approve Monkey POV Looks like a Pinfari, but we couldn't find any information, and asking any pf the ops was useless since none of them spoke Swedish or any other "normal" language... Here we go Crappy ghost train Complete with dragon Waltzer of DEATH, most awesome waltzer I have ever ridden, it spun like crazy when you got the balance right, and if that wasn't enough the ride op came out during the ride and spun you even more Blues Brothers approves this ride!! We went by the water park section to have a look Booo, the Nautical Jets are down Small flume ride I approve of this themeing in the "Pirate section" Warning a fat guy By rides Creepy... Finish of with a few Awww pictures: Bye Ölands Djur och Nöjespark for this time!!
  16. As some of you already know, I have recently been on a short trip to a bunch of smaller parks in northern Europe, with some German Fairs and some more well known parks thrown into the mix. Before the actual trip the whole family went on a weekend to Öland, which is the second largest island of Sweden and that is well known for it's nature (or something...), and it's the place where this trip report actually starts... Index: Day 0: Family pre-trip with some extra credits... Day 1: Day 2: Day 3: Day 4: Day 5: Day 6:
  17. ^^^ I didn't know that Liseberg had a Facebook page, might be a reason to get an FB account then.... ^ I really love the old one, just pure bliss to see the history of Liseberg, I really hope that they will put up more in the future.
  18. ^ You can clearly see what causes some of the roughness in that video. In the last segment of the video it's clearly visible that the top of the first/last hill have a small flat section, that is seriously not good. Still can't wait until I get the chance to ride it though, I really wonder if this could be worse than Cobra at Friheden...
  19. ^ It ran without brakes on the MCBR for several seasons at Expoland. I really doubt that they actually need any brakes there, and as long as they only run 2 trains (I can't see that Walygator would ever need more) they really don't need to use the MCBR...
  20. A more detailed itinerary would help a lot to see where you go, since then it would be a lot easier to help you plan your visits... But I had a quick look at the Princess webpage and I think I found the one you are going on: Click By the look of it then you would have to possibility to visit: Copenhagen: Tivoli Gardens (city centre) and Bakken (outskirts) Stockholm: Gröna Lund (close to the centre) Helsinki: Linnanmäki (close to the centre) St Petersburg: Wonder Island, Attraction Park and Gagarin Park, I don't exactly know where they are located in the city, and wile looking at the info on RCDB on each park, then it seems like Wonder Island would be the place to go to, the other ones are very small and are not really worth it... Tallinn: Have a park but it seems like their coaster is closed. If you have any more info about your trip then it would be a lot easier to help you with the parks. Also have a look on www.rcdb.com for more info (just search on the city names).
  21. ^ They are linked to on the last post on the second page... Either way, I have to say that it looks awesome, I really hope that we will see more S&S rides after this.
  22. It's a BHS (before Maurer & Söhne bought them)/Sansei Yusoki built coaster where Schwarzkopf have aided them with the design of the trains, brakes and the lift hill. It's very similar to Venus GP at Space World. Before they moved it to Russia it also had a fake mountain on it just like the one at Kobe Portopialand. More info and some pictures before the move can be found at: http://schwarzkopf.coaster.net/ESAndalusiaRailroad-KureGF.htm
  23. I would guess that he hit his face on the restraint, there are a few transitions on Pyrenees that are pretty snappy so there is several places where a "non experienced" rider could mash his/hers face to the restraint, which on most B&M's are really hard. And seeing that he was around the lower limit, which could mean that his head were low compared to the restraints, which would definitely add to the "hit his face on the restrain" theory. Also something that is worth to be noted is that B&M Inverts around the world have a limit of 140 cm or 54" which is 10 cm taller than what Pyrenees have. So I think that the result of this could mean that they will raise the limit of the ride if/when they reopen it...
