Engrish done Fuji-Q Style!
philcoaster83 replied to Splash_Mountain's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You can't beat a bit of Engrish. Best one there is the sign on the queue for Fujiyama which states 'Your Memorial Photograph'! I know the ride is rough but surely it wont kill you! -

Favourite small park
philcoaster83 replied to Scott's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Amen to that, especiallt the guy that loads the Zingo dressed like the lone ranger who called himself 'Kato'. He seemed very impressed and proud that a Brit had ridden his coaster. -

I quite like Amarillo's Wonderland and Tulsa's Bells. Really impressed with Hanayashiki in tokyo, very cute -
The theme of this place is 'Chav'! this place sucks. The rides stink- the Queen should personally chop the head off of the designer of Jubilee Odessey, the most painfull ride in the world (and that includes Manhattan Express and White Canyon). Actually having no head would be an advantage on this abomination. Millennium coaster is so so. But the view is horrid - caravan after caravan (read Trailer in american). I never ever intend to visit there again as long as I live. I am so glad that Hastings doesn't have a coaster because that place is worse.

Favorite Coaster at Cedar Point?
philcoaster83 replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Has to be Millennium Force, it just has to be then 2 TTD 3 Wicked Twister 4 Gemini bizarrely enough -
Of the list Cedar Point but is it the best? Fuji Q has the best setting for sure next to Mt Fuji! Otherwise Yomiuriland Amazing valley and Tokyo LaQua - Tokyo CosmoWorld - Yokohama Harbour Sea Paradise - this is an island rather than Pennisula. Sea World Gold Coast has an incredible location oh and that park on the mountain behind Barcelona or the one next to Niagara Falls

Actually I would have to say that all the Tussauds coaster music is pretty good. Thorpe Park's Colossus track aint bad either. The Alton Towers tracks can be found at http://www.towerstimes.co.uk/interact/music.html Check out Tom 'Little Britain' Baker on Nemesis or Ian 'Emperor Palpatine' McDiarmid on Oblivion

Mission: Space at Epcot
philcoaster83 replied to jumbach's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Mission Space is a so so ride. The build up and theming are terrific but the ride just doesn't match the hype. It would be better placed over at the Kennedy Space Centre. That place has all the pre ride hype and theming without the actual ride (unless you're an astronaut!) Incidently KSC is planning a thrill ride. But any ideas as to what it is? A Mission Space themed around the Shuttle would be awesome. -
Mantis Is rough. The roughest Stand Up I've been on (Ok only been on that, Riddlers Revenge and Stand and Looping Coaster). It's rough for a stand up(compare to the smooth RR) AND very rough for a B&M.

Tips for a "Disneylands around the world" trip
philcoaster83 replied to omiyage's topic in Ask Alvey
Oslo > LA > Tokyo > HK? Why not the other way round to take advantage of the international date line? I travelled from Tokyo to LA on the 1st Aug at 7pm arrived 1st Aug 1pm 6 hours before with a nights sleep in between! I managed a morning and afternoon in Tokyo (doing LaQua and Joylopis) and afternoon and Evening wandering around Hollywood. So in Disney terms you could do a Tokyo Disney (any last rides you missed out on) in a morning and spend that afternoon at DCA - you wont need alot of time here. I mananged to get round it all in a morning(although Screamin was closed). That gives you an extra bonus day that you wouldn't get flying West to do Universal or Knotts. Might be worth your while considering, LA is cheaper than Tokyo to stay in. -
