  1. Pound Puppies Gak Those cars you could actually drive, that went like 2 mph (name?) Speaking of which, I was sitting on my porch today and noticed like 10 kids ride by on these motorized scooters! My scooter you had to kick for it to move! WTF?
  2. Interesting topic. My first memory was from age 2. I was at this strange cat lady's house with my parents picking out our pet cat. I remember cats everywhere! I picked out the cutest siamese kitten and we named her Jezabel (Jezz for short). She gave me such happiness for 16 years, and then she died. I really miss her still. Anyway, I love having such a wonderful memory as my first one. -kip-
  3. This is the place to discuss anything having to do with piercings and/or tattoos. Tell about your experiences, what you want to have done, share pictures, everything. Put it here. -kip-
  4. I've always wanted to ride Tornado (Pinfari RC70), and I had never heard from anyone who has ridden one of them (there are 2). Sucks that it' so rough, but I thought it would be. After all, Pinfari's are cheap and brutal, but I love 'em! Something about Pinfari doing a corkscrew is just so wrong. -kip-
  5. Haha, actually, the tongue was one of the least painful piercings. The week afterwards was a different story (aka SWOLLEN). We won't even discuss what else I've had pierced . I think I've reached the point where I'm done with piercings, maybe? I'll keep the 3 I have left because I really like them (and they're not visible). I dunno, I think I must be getting old or calming down because the thought of driving a needle through various parts of my body sort of freaks me out now - which is weird because I've had it done like 15 or 16 times! PS: Maybe we should start a new thread for piercing/tattoo stories and such. We don't wanna derail this thread. Has there ever been a piercing/tat thread? I can't remember. -kip-
  6. It's all about the Ninja Gaiden! NES baby... -kip-
  7. Allison - I'm so jealous of your labret ring! It looks great. Flight of Fear shook my stud out. Boo. I should sue PKD (price of piercing and pain). -kip-
  8. Wild Adventures (Valdosta, Georgia) has a double model that is free with park admission. It was fun and relaxing, but not really worth any money. When the arms crested at the highest position, you got sort of a weird weightless pop. It was interesting. -kip-
  9. Another great one I forgot - Kings Dominion's Grizzly. The woodie is submerged in the trees. Very dark and that deafening tunnel (with a bunny hop) is truly scary. -kip-
  10. Sean, I would really hope SFGADV does *not* get rid of Stuntman's Freefall. They are so rare nowadays. A "modern tower" can be found anywhere. Maybe if the first gen. falls were lame, but I think they're more effective than the Giant/Gyro Drops. I find the old ones far scarier than the newer ones. Personally, I'd love to see a 200+ foot first gen. tower, but that ain't gonna happen! That's my $.02 -kip-
  11. One that has always floored me at night is Boulder Dash. Twisting, turning, dropping, diving - all in complete, complete darkness. Well, aside from barely making out the trees as they fly near your head! Total chaos. That ride is a work of art! -kip-
  12. Wildcats are awesome! But they are getting old and I hear they're a bitch to maintain now. -kip-
  13. If you were to tell me Cypress was looking for a "smaller Intamin ride", I would be more inclined to think outdoors junior coaster (like Skull Mountain outside). I can't picture a looping Rocket at a park like Cypress. Then again, what do I know?... I've never been there. -kip-
  14. Cool, I wasn't trying to be an ass or anything. It's just better to know how to spell park names properly, if you're going to be communicating with them. -kip-
  15. You do know that it is "PIERS", right? -kip-
  16. I've heard a lot of rumors about this movie. The two most intriguing are that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt produced it, and that Marilyn Manson rewrote the script to what it is now. The Jennifer & Brad thing seems less plausible than Manson "touching up" the script. I say that because one of Manson's first music videos, filmed in the very early 90's, was a demented recreation of the Wonka boat ride. I haven't watched it in almost 10 years, but I distinctly remember Oompa Loopmas hanging by nooses and all sorts of other wild things. Anyway, this is why when I heard about the supposed Wonka rewrite, it made me go hmmmm. It was great to hear your thoughts, Greg, thank you. I can't wait to see the new Willy Wonka movie! However, my most anticipated movie of the summer is Devil's Rejects (the sequel to House of 1000 Corpses). The first one would probably get my vote as the sickest, most twisted movie I've ever seen (well what else would you expect from Rob Zombie? ) -kip-
  17. Silver Comet, Martin's Fantasy Island -- don't go out of your way for it. It ran beautifully, but it has a piss-poor layout, imo. Not much air at all, if that's your thing. Comet, Great Escape -- definitely hit Comet! It defines "FUN!" It's similar to Phoenix with a different kind of air. Phoenix can be thigh-bruising; while Comet's is more relaxy, floaty. The Great Escape is a wonderful park anyway. Great White, Morey's Piers -- never a big fan of the middle section. It's a bunch of swervy ramps. Plus, when I last rode, it was HORRIBLY ROUGH. However, since I've ridden it last, it's been retracked by Martin & Vlemincx (the best in the biz). J2, Clementon -- Probably the most extreme a woodie can get nowadays. I had nighttime ERT last year, and I was seriously thinking the train was gonna derail. Outstanding coaster! The rest of Clementon sucks the big one, though. There's a decent flume, a Chaos, an Inverter, a Ferris wheel, and some other small, non-notable rides. I got SO bored at Clementon, even with Tsunami. Lightning Racer and Wildcat at Hersheypark -- I'm not a big LR fan. Mainly because I hate the GCI trains. The lap bars are heavy and they fall into your lap and lock down on you. Ruins any airtime. Wildcat is a beast though. You simply must ride in the front seat. Anywhere else supposedly rattles your fillings. The front has this fantastic type of lateral air. -kip- (Can you tell I love me some airtime? )
  18. MYRTLE BEACH PAVILION Overall -- A beautiful, well-kept, clean park. One of my favorites actually. Hurricane -- Rather rough and bouncy, a good ride, but it won't shake up your Top Ten. Mad Mouse -- Arrow sure made a winner! This is easily the best mouse I've ever done (well, Kennywood's is up there). Better than Hershey's and Wild Adventures even. Kiddie Coaster -- Interesting layout, beautiful scenery, not to be missed! Top Spin -- Skipped it because, well... I've ridden plenty of them. Haunted House -- Wonderful ride. I liked it almost as much as Ocean City, MD's! Flume -- Good flume, but not as good as Family Kingdom's, if I recall. Rapids -- Awesome rapids! Just a great, great ride, and the trough is painted sort of clay red. FAMILY KINGDOM Overall -- Pretty dumpy, reminded me of a carnival (with a beautiful classic woodie). Swamp Fox -- One of those coasters that you like just because it's old and maintained well. It's a really fun ride, however, it clearly cannot compare to the wild airtime machines of today. What do you expect?... it's a John Allen Chance Freefall -- This was such a funny ride because it SUCKED SO BAD. It fell basically at the speed an elevator would fall (ok, slight exaggeration), but it's very bad! Flume -- Quite good, it has a tiny coaster-like section. -kip-
  19. It- no one responds to you because your avatar scares us. -kip-
  20. Reon- how about NOT Cedar Point? I can't think of a worse place to have a get together of any kind. Too big, too crowded, etc. Standing for 2 hrs in a cattle queue, in 90 degree heat, while trying to talk with friends? -kip-
  21. Oh, it is worse . Only because with PKD's car, you have no floor to steady your body. On PKI's you can keep your body in place by using your feet. On PKD's, your legs dangle freely, thus, your body flops around in the seat, and your nutties can take a beating. In fact, I think virtually every guy I've talked to having ridden Firefall have had the same complaint. But, it's still worth it because Firefall runs a pretty wicked program, plus the custom music score, the fire, the mist, the water. It's quite the sight to behold. However, it breaks down *A LOT*. Of my three visits to PKD this year, Firefall was down more than it was up. It was constantly going DDM, it even would get stuck, arms in the air, with people on it. On opening day, it honestly broke down about every third or fourth ride. -kip-
  22. Well, I would hope you wouldn't have headbanging on Joker's Jinx - seeing as it has lap bars. Chiller, the Freezes, Flight of Fears, Poltergeist, and Jinx all have lap bars now. I liked them with shoulder restraints. Now, with just lap bars, they are simply brilliant.
  23. Speaking of Primevil Whirl, did anyone else think it ran like shit, especially for a Disney ride? It was just horrible, it ran worse than the non-Disney clones, imo. Dinosaur was ok (I was expecting Indiana Jones, haha, boy was I surprised!). The best ride at Animal Kingdom, I think, is Kali River Rapids. What an incredible rapids. I'm sure Expedition Everest will take the cake next year, though. That looks badass. -kip-
  24. I wouldn't be too excited... if you have testicles -kip-
