4.5 hours for Maverick.. Didn't even ride.. Yeah.. I waited that whole time and more.. and what was EVEN worse.. the LAST operating train before the ride broke down for that stretch.. we could have got on. Disappointing really. There was quite a few things I didn't like today, which I haven't seen in the last few opening days..

QFT. Each person is different. Just like people who love/hate MF. Some think its astounding, while others find it pathetically horrible (coughmecough)..

Complaining about being TOO smooth? Wow.

The mighty Toro is leaps and bounds above Voyage. Both rides are amazing, mind you, but I came off of Toro is complete shock of how amazing it truly was. It captured my number one spot instantly.

haha its perfectly fine. I was in your shoes.. Hell, last year, MF was in my Top 5. It is in no way a bad coaster, but I do agree, its not as good as many claim.. and doesn't in no way deserve to be ranked so high. MF does lose its appeal after you've started riding other things. It dropped down my Top 10 fast even before I went on my trip. Maverick is what changed my opinion about it.. because I hadn't really ridden a coaster of true QUALITY until then.. and ever since, MF continues to go lower. Its in my Top 25.. but barely.

I wouldn't go that far. I know plenty of people who still have MF in their top few spots.. and have ridden more then JUST Ohio coasters. How do you think it stays so high in most polls? Even in the MH, its still up there. Remember, not just the people who post on forums vote for those awards. ps: Are you trying to defend MF? Because first you say its underrated, yet you procede to say it doesn't deserve its high spots on polls. Not seeing your logic..

I wouldn't consider it underrated.. as its what.. the #2 rollercoaster in the world? MANY people call it overrated because it simply is. Past the drop.. theres not much to it.

MF is crap.. pretty much.

Busch Gardens Europe 60 new coasters this season.. from a CC of 41 to 101. Not bad considering 3 years ago, I'd only been to Cedar Point and one or two rides at Geauga Lake. 100th coaster was Voyage.. yay!!

This should remind the kids out there.. NEVER.. EVER go to Cedar Point on a Saturday or your in for some pain... and during Halloweekends? You might as well just assume the position. Learn from your mistakes and you shall prosper my young padiwon.

Sad to see it go.. as I have a lot of childhood memories there since I live so close. But.. the rides were less then spectacular tbh.. not a huge loss on the enthusiast front. Memory wise..

Just being a stickler.. because I can be.. Maverick has 6 rows in 3 cars. That photo is not a Maverick train with 8 rows in 4 cars. Now that we have THAT straitened out..

1. Its No-Limits.. no way you can know the coaster type just from that. 2. Thats not a Maverick train.. more like a Intamin Mega train. 3. There is no reason to think its Maverick just because of that. How many other coasters have Maverick-esque trains? Lets not jump to conclusions now.

Right now, i'm seeing Superman: Escape, Colossus, and something else.. not sure.

Agreed. Demon Drop is one of my favorite flat rides all together. But, Drop Zone is my favorite.. so they did improve. As to why... who knows?

I've had both extremes from both chains really.. but as of right now, Six Flags. I'ma huge CP fanboy.. but I generally liked SFNE and SFGAdv more then my favorite two CF parks i've visited.. Cedar Point and Kings Island. But, KI still suffers from Paramount syndrome, so we'll see. Of course, you have those HORRID parks like Geauga Lake and SFA.. which were giant dumps which deserved to be put into parking lots (besides GL's waterpark, which is quite nice tbh) I'm visiting more of both next season, so maybe my opinion will change.
