I'm pretty excited about this! Even if it will end up not having an amazing layout, that drop looks pretty interesting to me! -
2011.. What was your highlight?
matteocrepaldi replied to Chroniq's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think my highlight is the trip to Liseberg where I finally got the Balder credit! The second day we were there it was amazing because we entered the park just as it stopped raining and Balder was walk on the whole day and night! -

On the official Mirabilandia Facebook page there's a message saying that December 12th will be D-Day. From a comment it seems that they will reveal another detail about the new coaster. So keep your expectation low and this might end up being something good. What we know so far: - The official name will be Divertical. - It will be manufactured by INTAMIN; - It will be 55 meters tall (170feet) with a strange 45° drop. - It will be located in a new area of the park wich is located between iSpeed and the dark ride Reset. - It will cost approximately 20M€. - The main element will be water but it won't get people wet. - It will open during the season (I'm not expecting to see it open before the end of June). - It will have a Pilgrim's Plunge style lift system but it will be a roller coaster. If I wrote something wrong, please forgive me; I just wrote what I remember. -

Also, from this angle, the last support of the lift hill looks way too close to the track! Can't wait to ride it next year!!! -

Yesterday I started the skiing season! I'm pretty sure someone can recognize the large mountain behind me in the first picture! It's the Matterhorn; I had a perfect day in Cervinia: sun, perfect snow and great company! This is for all you Matterhorn fans! -

Thanks for posting these again. Now I can see that the support is there in the artwork. It just look like an ordinary one! -

Yes, that support got my whole attention too! I like ho B&M is innovating in those couple of years! I wonder if the one in Port Aventura is going to use something similar! -

That inclined loop looks like one of those elements that brings in the question: is it really an inversion??? -
Nigloland! New Coaster for 2014
matteocrepaldi replied to msep003's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just did a quick Google search and I found this thread on themepark.nl (http://themepark.nl/ubb/ubbthreads.php/topics/1741911/Nigloland_2012_Gerstlauer_SkyF.html) I translated with Google and here's the first post: I was really hoping to see a Mega Lite close to where I live. -

Gardaland is open for Christmas. If they open Raptor I might consider a visit! Videogames are another thing that keeps me busy in the long winter days. Too bad my PS3 died and I still haven't bought a new one! -

Yes, another offseason has started for me as well. I think that the main thing I do is follow construction on many as many parksas I can think of. Then there is trip planning although I generally organize things as the season goes through. The third thing is practice my favourite winter sport which is skiing! Also I follow the skiing races on TV. And finally there's the soccer Champion's League! -

Please, can you all stop saying that this will be a Piligrims Plunge clone? Ok, it will have a similar elevator system but the rest won't be the same. It will be a ROLLER COASTER with water. It will interact with it but it will not soak the riders. It will NOT be an aquatrax (I'm sorry for all the Aquatrax enthusiasts). In my opinion and from what I've heard, I say it will be some kind of a mega coaster without inversion and a non soaking splash element used as a break. I still can't imagine the 45° drop in all this but we'll see it there some day. -

Today Mirabilandia was open and mirathebest from Theparks.it was there to take some photos. I think this is the most interesting one: As you can see the land they are clearing is pretty big! When the park will be closed it will be possible to take photos from the other side of the lake as it happened with iSpeed! -

I had bad news for those waiting for the official announcement; the press releases about the 2012 project will be sent out for the International Tourism exhibition in Milan which takes place around FEBRUARY! I got this news directly from Mirabilandia's official press office. I hope things will start to move at the park in order to get some idea from looking at the site.
