  1. MOTHMAN CHAT THIS SATURDAY! ITS NOT OFFICIAL, BUT IT WOULD BE AWESOME! Elissa or Dave or any other mods, please make it so.
  2. ^ But Disney nerds are different from coaster nerds. I want to say I have waited about an hour to thirty minutes at least 45 or so times since I got my pass two years ago. I am a fan of the show, so I wait, even though I really only care about the Dragon Battle and Heffalump sequences. I also wait for Aladdin and the fireworks like half of the time I go to the park, yet I have seen every show at least 10 times. I dont know why, I am just a Disney nerd, so I will wait, and I guarantee no matter what we say this show is gonna get praise just cause its a Disney park.
  3. They will have the stuff, I am almost sure of it. They even have the Alice paper cut outs in Blue Sky Cellar. Also, I kind of just doubt thats it cause the presentation seemed like it pretty much had everything together.
  4. This is one park that completely owned all of my expectations. Very impressive so far, I cant wait for this to open, and I REALLY hope it does not fail.
  5. OMG, A schwarzkopv related coaster gift?! Thats awesome. I am so going to ask for one of these for my next birthday, only mine will say "Riddle Me This" as a tribute to my number 1, Riddlers Revenge. Happy birthday though, Nathan, hope to see you in the chat room sometime soon as its been fun talking to you recently.
  6. I agree, and it is a failed ride attemot considering we have been talking about the ride for two and a half years. Vekoma seems to be getting very unlucky recently, Battlestar, this, honestly I dont think the Dragonfly concept will go over too well considering no one knows what the hell it does. It will either be like a suspenended moto coaster, and leaning forward on pony express kind of sucks. Or you will be kneeling, which is just terrible. In the end we must ask ourselves "what the hell are they thinking?" This entire ride is ridicoulas, the pacing(from a previous off ride testing video) looks horrendous, the lift looks kind of uncomfortable, the half pretzel is just pointless, and to top it off the capacity sucks. I just dont get what Vekoma's up to, and they cant afford to keep making designs that are failing cause in the last ten years we have seen a major rise in innovention from Gerstlauer and Maurer Söhne, and both companies are doing well. I mean, the Eurofighter, both companies have succesful spinning coasters, the X car is starting to do better, well see. Vekoma's days may be numbered, cause at a certain point, especially when you come down to a ride like this, qulaity is much more important than innovation.
  7. Agreed, a very good movie for me. Not necessarily a 10/10 on my scale, but easily a very high 8 or a 9. An awesome movie that is quite awesome with some damn funny moments. Also, I am biased cause I hate Nicholas Cage, although he was okay in this movie, but I just dont like him. If I liked Nicholas Cage I would probably give it a 10/10, and he wasnt even that bad in the movie, although the way he spoke was kind of annoying. GO SEE THIS! I was not expecting much and it delivered!
  8. Very Bad Things: Thed only movie I have ever struggled through morally and ethically to finish. The even more ****** up part is it was actually kind of funny in some parts. I am now literally sitting in my room thinking how I can be at all a decent human being and enjoy a comedy that dark. For all that like EXTREME(I MEAN EXTREME)ly DARK comedy you may enjoy this, if not stay away. This movie is mean spirited, has nothing to offer for humanity and has no morality or happy ending what so ever, but it is shocking and somewhat brilliant besides the fact that the director of this movie must be an evil man. I am literally somewhat sickened with myself, if anyone else has seen this please post or something, its on Netflix. OMG! I need to pray or something, lol, WOW! I am giving this movie a 1/5 and a 5/5. It gets a 1/5 simply becasue it was so dark and I honestly dont know if I can recommend it. It gets a 5/5 becasue it is also brilliant and incredibly well done and is a completely brilliant satire of the American Dream and modern America, and the film started with such a familiar premise, a bachelor party in Vegas, that the aftermath also made the film extrememly original.
  9. It might just be the shot by Shockwaves sign, it just looks a bit rusty cause you are close to the track.
  10. Lol, it seems like Cowabunga is the only water park to serve coke. I work at Wildrivers and people literally get so amped on Mtn Dew cause I am a cashier and we have 25 cent refills with employee cups. I kind of wish we had coke products though, Mtn Dew is the only Pepsi drink I really enjoy.
  11. Big Thunder Mountain. Disneyland... last Friday. Actually a small bit of airtime in the front that I have never noticed before, great to ride a ride at 11:30 and run to indy for a midnight ride. I'm going again next Friday... I love being an AP holder!
  12. I personally find the show very over rated. I see how it is vary dangerous and it is interesting, but I dont find it thatinteresting. It is guys fishing for crabs in treacherous conditions, very intense, but every season is veery similar IMO. That being said, my parents love this show and I bought my dad a northeastern(thats a crab boat on the show, right) at Epcot signed by the captain of the ship. I just dont find these shows very entertaining and it just kind of bores me.
  13. At my school the girl to guy ratio that people whatch glee is at least 5 or 6 to 1. I am not a "gleek" by any means, but I seem to be in the minority of guys that watch Glee.
  14. That was a good overall TR, I have not seen some of those parks, or at least have not seen much of them. Is it just me, or is Shockwave due for a paintjob? I think so.
  15. ^^ How close to Verizon do you live? Did you hear the GWAR **** salute 2 summers ago. It was awesome. I work at Wild Rivers during the summer and Gwar was headlining sounds of the underground. Suddendly from the stadium everyone yelled **** and it carried into wild rivers, or at least near the ticket booth. GWAR have some balls, but if you ever look them up be VERY afraid.
  16. I dont know if any of you have ever seen the Boondocks on adult swim, but dear god... someone actually made the Luther. For those that do not know, the luther is the same as a double down, except replace the chicken with 2 crispy cream donuts. luther.bmp Mmmmm... I kind of wanna try it, but it may literally kill me.
  17. ^ Agreed, but it set up the rest of the season well. The Watching Glee is easily the most feminine thing I have ever done Ghost PS...QUIN IS SOOOO HOT!!!!!
  18. You've got a point... I am 18 and can handle pretty rough stuff. That being said I wont ride something like DejaVu and avoid ghostrider besides my one courtesy nightride somewhere near the front. Matterhorn does to me what a coaster should though, it throws you around. Also, I think if the ride was smoothed they would need to rework a lot of the layout considering some of the drops and turns are there due to the unique structure of the mountain. Can Matterhorn or Thunder Mountain ever be retracked? They are essentially the most terrain based coasters in the world simply because the terrain is made ccustom to go with the laytout perfectly. They would need to change parts of the mountain to refurb the matterhorn probably. For example, at least one of the death drops is there because if it was not you would be decapitated as you drop under a little ridge, I believe the one I am referring to is the second death drop on the left side. LEFT>>>>>>>>>RIGHT IMO! Or tomorrowland>>>>>Fantasyland for you non disney people.
  19. Wow... thats a beautiful ship. I love cruising and have been on 4 or 5. I went on the Voyager when it was the largest, now I really hope to get on the Oasis, but I doubt cruising will fit in my future. I do love Royal Carribean though, we have been on Disney(I was in second grade,so I dont remember it, Carnival, Royal Carribean and Princess. Carnival was my least favorite, but I dont really know why, it might have been cause I was young, but royal always had more to do. Princess and Royal are about the same in my book, but princess is my personal favorite cause we somehow all got into the 21 and up club on the last night, not for drinks, but there was a huge party with an awesome DJ. I am pretty sure they kind of just said "screw it, let them in, just dont serve them drinks" and it worked well. Also, I danced with three girls to the song I kissed a girl, so it was an awesome night overall. Damn... this thread makes me want to go downstairs and become depressed there are no baked goods in my kitchen at all hours of the day and night.
  20. ^ Thank you, lol. Also, to emphasize the fact that the roughness makes it fun the ride goes what... like 20 miles per hour? With the roughness I honestly feel like there are some insane parts of it that make it my favorite at Disney. For example, on the left side there are two very steep small drops that are just kind of there. They are not taken fast, but they are such a surprise and kind of a WTF moment. I also do not find matterhorn painful at all, it is slow enough where it is semi intense, but fast enough where it isnt boring to me.
  21. ^ Wrong Country, lol. This is Canada, not Vegas.
  22. My guess is that it will. Seeing that the kid would have to ride alone, I'd expect it to rise to maybe 40 inches. Thankfully my little sister got the credit on the last trip. I'm glad to see something new on the tracks, but can they PLEASE make it smoother? That thing is rough as hell. Never, the roughness is the best part of the ride. Also, KT is my hero for getting the credit. I rode when I was 3 and was TERRIFIED of the yetti, I didnt ride again til I was like 9. It is now my favorite ride at Disneyland, even beating Indy just cause I can never memorize the layout.
  23. Same as Sasquatch I'll join, but no guarantees I will finish.
  24. Ummm, I kind of expected this thread to be buzzing. Season 1 Part 2 off to a good start, it was still funny and as real as it was for the first part of the season.
  25. Wow... poor Vekoma. Regardless of what did happen this must be a MAJOR issue, and I am kind of believing the seat thing now just cause no one has been able to have nay evidence to deny it and the coaster is still closed. Its looking kind of bleak for them IMO, or at leat this particular design is looking bleak for them.
