It was very unique depending on the seat. Front of train- You would be facing st8 down when the train would "stall" and you would be thrown forward into the harness (similar to the Impulses) Middle of the Train- was cool cause when you "stalled", you were upside down and be weightless against the harness Back of the train- Very cool to be whipped around the back half of the inversion into the drop. you can see my DF video in the Video forums section to give you a better Idea of the hangtime on it. Interesting fact alot of you might not know. DF first test run was unsuccessful cause it did not make it through that first inversion (cause of the cold temps they were testing it in and the wheel grease was hard) So they installed heaters along the track (station,E-brakes,MCBR, and top of the lift) to heat the grease, and man you could really feel the heat from thoses things. They were only there through the 1992 season..I will try to post a pic from a Brakeless test POV I have from the park from the 1992 season JEFF

Simpsons Intro: Live Action Version

Really cool, Thanks for posting that. JEFF -
My very first coaster was space mountain at disneyworld when I was 5 in 1985 and I cried and screamed the whole way then next year my best friend convinced me to go on Scooby doo at PKD and I was scared at first but then I did not think it was so bad. I became a full blown enthusiast at the age of 7 when my dad convinced me to go on Rebel Yell in 1987 and I have been obsessed ever since. JEFF

Strongest/Most forcefull Launch
pkdcoaster replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
LIM- Easily goes to Chiller launch- Hypersonic XLC (but I am pretty sure Elissa has it right with dodonpa being the most powerful judging by the videos) Volcano's doesnt have a quick punch to me, the speed is very gradual JEFF -
Which is worse?
pkdcoaster replied to Superdasher's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow I was expecting to be the only one who said I love em. SLCs are defintely not smooth but IMO they are fun...I find very few coasters so rough that they take away from the fun. I think Boomerangs are great rides for the price and amount of space they take...for the smaller parks. I love going backwards Vekoma count: Boomerangs-8 SLCs-5 Invertigos-2 JEFF -

My old Spacewarp set pics
pkdcoaster replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
oh yea that is what happened to it....I remember now!! (i'm old ) the last one in the set of pics I entered in a 10th grade physics project (got an A ) and on the way home in the back of my friends truck it got slammed into by something..back there (can't remember what) and I could not get it to work again without spending a whole lot of time on it. So I just scrapped it, I still have all the pieces boxed up in my crawl space. -
My old Spacewarp set pics
pkdcoaster replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
All together about 2 months...I would only do 1 at a time, Look at what I had left then build again after I perfected one or got bored with it. JEFF -
I always wanted to build a Coaster off my house....But I do not think it is too feasable now. So I built this. I love old Arcade games, There are much better MAME Cabinets out there but this is mine that I designed and Built (with a little help from my Uncle) With my homemade Marquee. Enjoy, JEFF

pkdcoaster replied to Shockwave's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Holy crap! I knew they reprofiled the first drop on BIG ONE but I did not know they did the turnaround also. Was it really rough or something..it was crazily shaped. What year did these reprofiles take place...most of my footage of the ride is from '94 and '95 The first drop still looks like it has a killer whip to it. do you have a POV pic going into the turnaround? Thanks, JEFF -

Man, I cannot believe I had the time and patience to do these. I was 14 or 15 when I did these. It is about 5 or 6 sets combined. For those that do not remember these, do a search for spacewarp in google images and 10 bucks to anyone who can follow my last creation (bottom pic) I think I have video of these...I will try to find it...could take a while And YES all the tracks worked Enjoy, JEFF Forgive the dirty laundry I made it and I cannot even follow it See my shiny balls! The Barbies are NOT mine My sisters collection (I took over the book shelf)
