WANTED! Kennywood Photos!
pkdcoaster replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I assume you wanted pictures of the loops on Steel Phantom so here are my best ones of the loops. Enjoy, JEFF -
Well if you are mainly a Roller Coaster Lover the choice is easy. Busch Gardens Tampa and Islands of Adventure. Some People swear by Disney...but IMO that is the last place in Florida I would go. But do some searching of what each park has and see what rides look the most Interesting to you. JEFF

I use a Quantaray wide angle lens but there is no # or anything on it.....went searching and could not find any for sale that looked like mine...might be discontinued since I bought it over 6 years ago. JEFF

Montu Batwing Element
pkdcoaster replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
He must of been refering to me...Yes I know that It was designed for Carowinds Entrance but EVEN if they had built it in flat land out in the middle of nowhere it would still be that drawn out and it would not be nearly as intense as Montu's is! I think it looks great but I would rather have a High G Batwing than a tunnel under a park entrance. Nobody on here can deny that B&M has tamed their rides considerably over the last decade because of how intense they have gotten...just look at how many random trims are placed around EVERY B&M that is built now. Oh well as long as they do not touch Raptor! JEFF -
It really depends on the camcorder...the one I took all my POVs with that have "fisheye" only really shows up noticably on the computer and barely on the TV...But on my new camcorder you can not even see the edges so I believe it depends on the camera you use. The only way to really tell how much is going to show up is trial and error with different camcorders. JEFF

Montu Batwing Element
pkdcoaster replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That is just a coincidence... I promise you will never see another B&M with a Batwing as tight as Montu's again.....Similar situation is with Mantis and Riddlers Revenge. RR is very Drawn out just cause of the extreme forces Mantis had. They take away the constant extreme G-force when they space it far apart like that. JEFF -
Montu Batwing Element
pkdcoaster replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Tog Gun's Batwing is much more drawn out http://members.aol.com/somekick/pic11.html It was made that way Cause of the high G's on Montu's Batwing http://www.rcdb.com/ig87.htm?picture=4 Before Montu had trims it felt like your ass was gonna bust through the seat!! It was Awesome! JEFF -

Millennium Force- It is just so awesome to look at and the 1st drop is just heaven and I love speed and high banked turns. To me the front seat cannot be beat. JEFF -
I noticed you have one and that is one of the few POVs I have not seen. Just a request......pretty please Thanks, JEFF

Well Mantis definitly is not as good as it was back in 1996 Of course having Charlie Horses in your legs for 5 mins after the ride is not good either JEFF -

Waterparks, anyone?
pkdcoaster replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love Water Country USA. but it is just soooo crowded now by the time you are done waiting in line you are dry. and it annoys me to no end that they put those water brakes on the best slides. I love the 50's Beach theme they have now but the park's big slides were much wilder when it was a mom and pop waterpark. JEFF -

Ride Concept I think would be Great
pkdcoaster replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not really, there is not alot of linear forces unless the rides E-Brakes are activated or it is a launch coaster. Lateral forces would be on the headrest and in the air. I do not believe the headbanging would be any worse than it is now. -
Ride Concept I think would be Great
pkdcoaster replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
http://www.rcdb.com/ig1922.htm That is not what I was talking about. That is a gimmick coaster that has sideways moments. You could have also said a crazy mouse is a sideways coaster. I am talking about something like Kumba or SFMM Viper but sideways (a Big Looping coaster) JEFF -
A Roller coaster you Don't ride facing forward or backwards..but sideways I mean I doesnt seem like it would be that difficult to pull off (I mean if they made X work) Loops and corskrews always look awesome when you turn your head to the side and just imagine a heatline roll facing sideways. (Sweet) I Just can not believe no coaster maker has tried this yet What do you guys think? JEFF

RCT....2 or 3
pkdcoaster replied to Reon's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Stick With 2 If you Cannot even enjoy 3 what is the point in keeping it? I play 2 more than 3just cause of the awful loading times and lag and I have a good computer JEFF -
The 1st one I saw was on Batman Knight Flight (Dominator) in 2000 I figured it was for maintenance since getting a crane out there would be a pain. JEFF

Do you have a Coaster License Plate?
pkdcoaster replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually, you do not have to go to DMV to get them you can request them through the mail or internet so I never saw any DMV dude. My biggest thing is people think it means something totally different like Crestar freak (like I love Banks or something) Cluster F*** (um no) Most people make out the freak part but have absolutely no clue what CSTR is. You would think the Border would give them a clue! (here's your sign) About 50% of cars in Virginia have personalized plates, My wife had PJAMGRL on her car SURROUNDED by Pearl Jam stickers and still everybody said thats cute... Pajama Girl! (people are Retards!) The funniest one I have seen is SEXGOD followed by a handicapped symbol! JEFF -
