  1. I prefer reading them in the Park Index. This was actually the reason I started reading TPR on a regular basis... I loved reading about the trips! I don't really care about reading other people's comments, so I rarely keep up with the trip reports when they're posted to the forums.
  2. Thanks! Working hard, ya know. Do you know anything about PTC trains or Verkoma(? boomerang coasters) PTC trains can literally be a pain in the ass. The seat divider might cause you a little bit of issue with your hips, but I think you'll be ok. I have really big thighs, so they can be a tight fit (It doesn't help that I'm 6'6"). Vekomas are pretty forgiving. The only issues I've had are on the Boomerangs that have the new restraints. I still get on them, but they have to push on it a little bit each time. The SLC models are pretty roomy compared to B&M and Intamin inverts.
  3. ^Good point. I forgot that their Batman didn't have any modified seats.
  4. ^B&M Hypers don't have a Big Boy seat. Just an FYI. Based on acracks dimensions, I think El Toro might be an issue. The others should be ok, because B&M is usually 52" max for a normal seat, and around 54" for a big boy seat. Nice work on the weight loss!
  5. Thanks for posting these pictures! I was hoping to make it to their wedding, but I had something I had to attend here this past weekend. Congrats to Russ and Stacey!
  6. I didn't mess with any of that, so I can't answer. Not a nighttime show person.
  7. Just got back from a quick trip to WDW, and I was pleasantly surprised by the whole MyMagic+ program. With my limited schedule, it was great to be able to pre-book all of the headline attractions before I'd ever set foot in the park. Just one example... On Sunday, my flight got delayed, so while I was sitting in Detroit waiting I opened the app and changed all of my times. I was able to show up at the park at 6:15 pm, ride Splash, Space and Big Thunder without any waits. That would've never happened before this change.
  8. Awesome news! I can't find any info on this, and I've been searching all over the internet and this forum... During Extra Magic Hours, do the parks still use Fastpass+? ***Edit: I found my answer. The answer is no if anyone was wondering.
  9. ^I agree. While Renegade is a really fun, very good ride, the park isn't worth going out of your way to visit. I live about 3 1/2 hours away, and I usually only swing by the park after a Vikings game or if I'm in town for the weekend.
  10. ^Seems like fate that they're being served in Scandinavia...
  11. Looks like a great menu. I'm already making mental notes of things to try. Glad to see that the cheese in Greece is back! The crepes look amazing as well.
  12. Who says I'm not having fun? I didn't like Gatekeeper. Gemini is a "fun" ride in my opinion, and I'd much rather ride that than Gatekeeper. It's great that CP has a successful ride on their hands, I didn't really care for it. What's the point of these forums if people all had the same opinion on something? X-flight is nowhere near the size/speed of Gatekeeper, but I liked that ride just fine. I quoted you, Thrillrider, but I'm not specifically calling you out, so I hope you don't take it that way.
  13. I searched, but couldn't find anything. Do the new trains on Banshee have big boy seats? I'm guessing it's like the wing coaster, where there's a different colored belt. Just curious if anyone noticed last week.
  14. So if you don't like Gatekeeper, you're a troll? I guess I'm a troll, then! I was there in August and was totally underwhelmed by the ride. I was actually really excited about it too, as I hadn't really heard any negative reviews. I preferred X-Flight (rode it 2 days before Gatekeeper). I know that there was a train with a bad wheel or something while we were there, because I actually had really rough rides. Several otherr TPR folks had the same experience. There's just something about Gatekeeper... It's such an imposing and beautiful ride to look at, but it didn't deliver for me. This comes from a guy that doesn't understand all the hate for Talon, Silver Bullet and even Patriot. Maybe next time I'm at CP I'll get a better ride, but for I'd say it's one of my least favorite B&Ms.
  15. I haven't ridden Excalibur for a few years, but it was always pretty rough. I've never really enjoyed that ride. It looks like it should be fun, but there's really nothing great about it. The last few times I've been to the park it hasn't been open, I think they close it during Halloween for some reason.
  16. I'm not sure where he's coming up with this, but I've been to the park several times on Sundays in September and October, and the park is basically empty. I used to have to travel to Topeka for work on occasion, and I'd always stop at WoF on my way down there. One time I rode Prowler about 15 straight times without getting off. You're not going to have to worry about crowds. They'll only be running one train on most rides, but you'll still get on plenty of rides.
  17. That was an interesting episode!
  18. I'm heading down in a couple of weeks. I've been on the fence about MyMagic+, but after going through and booking fastpasses for the days that I'll be at Disney, I couldn't be happier with the experience so far. I'm meeting up with a group of people down there, and my friend was able to add me to their group with a click of a button. Pretty cool, if you ask me.
  19. Thanks, Dustin! I just sent you something as a thank you!
  20. I don't agree with this. I really like WoF, go to the park at least 3 or 4 times each year, but Patriot is my least favorite of the 15 or so B&M Inverted coasters I've been on. It's not a bad ride, but there's nothing really exciting about it, either.
  21. ^ A piece of my childhood died last night. There was no more exciting 2 minutes of my week than the Warrior running out of the tunnel and destroying someone. Oh, to be 10 again...
  22. I'd never watched it until about 2 months ago. Got caught up on it so I'd be ready for season 4. I love all of the storylines. They give you just enough each week to keep you wanting more. I've never read the books either, and I don't want to hear what happened in the books. I think we should all agree to keep this discussion about the TV show. I find it really annoying when people tell you what's going to happen next in the story...
  23. Most of the S&S towers were built in the mid-to-late 90s. The Larson/ARM towers only started popping a few years ago.
  24. I thought that 2014 would be my one and only trip to Scandi. Looks like I might be heading there again in 2016. At this point, this is the only picture I can think of that describes how I feel... Just take it...
