What is your next park?
chickenbowl replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just found superb flight deals to Minneapolis and out of Kansas City for Labor Day Weekend, so it looks like Mall of America and Valleyfair will be my next parks! -
Ride Bucket List

^ Congrats for knocking so much off the list. That's impressive work for a couple years. But you do live way too close to Knoebel's to never have gone. Seriously, like go tomorrow! -

Some new pictures from Only_Coasters on Instagram: Double Up track is complete. Lift hill extension bents are sitting to the right, waiting for assembly. Ledgers are erected past the Zero-G roll inside the structure (third inversion). This is right by the old entrance under the first two inversions. Current state of lift hill track, about to span the under-lift dive. You can see catwalk in the bottom right. -

^ This review pleases me and rids me of some of my Vekoma apprehension. Thanks for writing this up! ...Now to get to Poland next year when that Intamin opens -
So if GA Cyclone is getting RMC'd, it should be closing soon, yeah? All 5 of these parks announced the closure about a month before closing. Cyclone at SFNE: Closed on July 20. Colossus: Closed on August 16. Roar at SFDK: Closed on August 16. Medusa: Closed on August 18. Rattler: Closed on August 5. My prediction: We will be seeing "Say goodbye to Georgia Cyclone. It will storm out on Aug __" by the end of this month.

In addition to Ober Gatlinburg's, there's also the newly opened Rowdy Bear Mountain Coaster And then Anakeesta should be opening the area's 6th mountain coaster soon. -

We got some new track on the lift finally! Hoping they stick to this section and finish this lift hill, I can't wait to see the fully realized size of this thing -
The reality is going to be that most people in the roller coaster community would rather have dragons than ANYTHING that isn't dragons. Let's be honest here... Dueling Dragons was made at a time when B&M was doing ballsy, forceful rides that were pushing the intensity and creative envelope. And even though Dragons doesn't duel anymore, it's still probably in the top 5 of B&M inverted coasters. Losing that and being replaced with ANYTHING is going to be a blow to the coaster community. BUT... it's no secret that Dragons has not been a success for the Harry Potter lands and even JK herself isn't thrilled by it (pun intended) and as sad as that is, that's the reality of the situation. When was the last time we lost a "top ten" steel coaster? Fire Dragon one once ranked the #9 steel coaster in the world by Mitch Hawker's Poll. It seems absurd to me that a park would want to just throw away one of the world's best ranked roller coasters that STILL to this day runs AWESOME! Seriously, a night ride on Fire Dragon is STILL balls out insane! And they want to tear that down? What??? I can't be the only one who feels this way, right? This a great, sobering post... Sad times.

Yeah, it's not like Cedar Fair announced four new roller coasters for 2018... Swallow your pride bro. Come on... Centurion was trademarked in like 2014. He's just pointing that CF trademarks a ton of names. Some don't get used. You don't know what name is for what ride. He's also annoyed at how every one of your speculative posts are said with such certainty. -

The ends of the wing seats can vibrate and bend, like a very stiff diving board. But it's not even that aspect that I don't enjoy, it's the terrible restraints that lock down and press on my collar bones and chest -- It's a bit suffocating. -
EDIT: Sorry I have to delete this link. There is NO WAY IN HELL I will ever support that horrible Tom Corless person. It's hard for me to think of another person that even comes close to how awful he is in the Disney community. I'd rather even hang out with Kevin Yee before having to be anywhere near that guy! lol Please do not ever post a link from his site here again. Thank you. --Robb Alvey

I am not a huge fan of Wing Coasters, but Thunderbird was easily the best. I just responded because according to enthusiasts, Voyage is easily the best in the world... I thought Voyage was pretty overrated when I rode it last year. Airtime was floater at best. Still top 5, but not the end-all-be-all I was promised after ten years of constant hype. I first rode Boulder Dash in 2011... It was amazing back then - My #2 behind El Toro. But last year it was awful. Two rides in the front and it was jackhammering and slow. I've been crossing my fingers that it was a bad train or a bad day or this off-seasons retrack would cure it, but I have only been hearing bad things... Such a shame. I think SRIIs are fun, but those Premier restraints are pretty awful for anyone over 6ft. I will be able to watch one get built from my backyard next year!

No, but it's awesome. Gatekeeper has the best drop in the park by far, yeah... I said it. Be careful everyone, we got a hot take over here. -
