  1. I know a few people that work at SFGAM, some supervisors and some ride opps, they one thing that drives them crazy are coaster enthusiasts(Acers). I talked with one of they employees and they had to get the Deja Vu track shipped out as fast they were taking it down because off people trying ti steel the bolts.
  2. Thanks for posting this, I forgot all about it. I just purchased two passes and a parking pass for my wife and I for SFGAM for $185.
  3. I was going to get mine @ SFSTL because that park opens before SFGAM, but not for 2009. Did anyone else notice that SFGAM opens one month before it normally would and one week before SFSTL, SFGAm opens April 3, I hope this is not a typo because I will be pissed. I'm going to SFSTL on April 13 and I have to take new Pictures for next year.
  4. What are you talking about??? This is pretty much all Disneyland has been doing for the past 10 years! Tarzan Treehouse, Autopia, Subs, Space Mountain, etc. Even at Walt Disney World with Tower of Terror 1 through 4. Or Busch Gardens with "Floorless SheiKra..." The list can go on and on... Open your eyes. This isn't something of the "1930s style tactics" as you so call put it, this is a trend of the NOW! Disney has been getting away with it for over a decade...why can't Six Flags do it too? Personally, I think it's a GREAT idea when parks put more money to fix up an older ride. --Robb I think it's a good idea what SF is doing I just hope it finds it's way to SFGAM for Iron Wolf, new sit down trains from B&M would be a start. If any park needs a ride make over it's SFGAM god only knows Iron Wolf needs it badly.
  5. If you notice in that last photo they have dirt over two portions of track, it looks like one of the sections their driving over the track. Why didn't they just leave those sections of track out. intil they were done with the heavy equipment.
  6. That would be awesome, but kinda freaky. I was @ SFGAM today and it was so windy out I just about froze my a$$ of on top of Raging Bull, so I could only imagine how cold it was on TTD.
  7. That's great that SF is putting money and effort into these rides to improve them. I just hope these improvements find it's way to another park, one ride comes to mind (SFGAM ) Iron Wolf to be exact. Deferent trains, other than stand up trains and a new coat of paint would improve this ride, don't you think.
  8. Yes, I would love to see the Big Mike Road Show in 2009, I think the Big Mike Road Show has been a great addition to the TPR forums and would like to see it continue. If the funds are their and I can get off work I will try to meet up with you more in 09. Coaster Mania 08 was a blast, and I wish I could have spent more time with you guys. I had my cousin from Corpus Christi Texas with me and my wife. She's not into ridding coasters, she's terrified of them but she goes with me to all the parks. I could not ask for a better wife really I have it pretty good. Hope to see you in 2009 Mike.
  9. 5th vote for me or is it 6, I lost count, I also have 9 friends voting for you.
  10. Voted a third time, now i have 4 friends voting for you to, best of luck.
  11. I'll have to watch that, hopefully I get out of work in time to see it.
  12. At least they look cool, I was their on December 3 and i was hoping that they would have had them then. However I will be in Vegas May 9th for USBC open (United States Bowling Congress) and I'm going to go back to SFMM and spend 3 days at Disneyland resort, so I'm looking forward to going back and I will finely get to see the new monorail cars.
  13. Eh, the ride wasn't fun at all and in fact pretty boring. I have the credit already, so I don't really care. Maybe it's being dismantled to make room for an AQUATRAX! You all knew it was coming! -Gaven. I don't think it will be a Aquatrax Or any other intamin coaster for that matter, @ Coaster Mania 2006 in the Q&A sestion when asked if their were any possibilities of a Intamin woodie in the works they quickly said about Maverick, That Intamin delivered a Quality ride in the end that they were done with Intamin. Not in those exact words but close. Now if their true to their words it wont be Intamin. I did miss this years Q&A sestion so I don't know what was said.
  14. I can't agree more Robb, Six Flags was going in the right direction with the park, and yes I can only think with the new management that park would have been better in hands with SF than Cedar Fair. We had family that lived in Aurora Ohio so my family would go to Aurora just about every year and we would visit Geauga lake and Cedar Point. We started going to both park's every year from 78- 98 in till our family moved. When It became SF I started going back. I know i visited the park each year from 2000-2003 through the hole SF era. After CF bought the park I did not start going back in till 2006 when the rumors started popping up that they were going to take out rides and passably close the park. I don't remember much of GL in till the mid 80s, ( I was to young then) I really liked GL allot even through the SF era the park was nice and clean until CF bought it. The park was better when it was Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, and if SF would still have it today with all the changes that they have made to the rest of the parks in the chain i can only imagine what they would have dome with SFWOA. Just want to say is that i used to be a huge Cedar Point fan in till last September when the closed GL, I think they handled this situation poorly. Anyway sorry for rambling on and on about my life history with GL, I just wish I had more pictures of this park . I loved that park back in the day. And i will miss it very much our family had lot's of memories their.
  15. ^ Thanks for all the update Big Mike, I don't know how you find the time to do them.
  16. ^ Imagine the possibilities, Move over Big Mike.
  17. I agree, Why point the blame at the park it's not their fall people are morons, All they have in their minds is the money. Sue happy
  18. ^ I totaly agree, It's not the parks fault that people don't follow the rules. People are just sue happy. I remember a few years ago on SUF @ SFGAM a guy lost his cell phone over by the pretzel loop and he wanted some body to go get it right away, and the park staff said they would get after the ride closes. And they said why can't you get it now and ride opps said they would have to shut the ride down to get it. After arguing for 20 min. he took it upon him shelf to go get it, Needless to say they shut the ride down and security escorted him out of the park. When somebody says no to them they think that does not apply to them. Stupidity
  19. ^ Hey that sounds about right you could have your own road show next year. The Natatomic Road show Staring Natalie. Just a thought.
